I think the wired cape is really cool. Personally I feel the figure itself is still typical mcfarlane which I’m still not a fan of but hopefully this inspires other companies to try things like this
@@XanaxTheWisestI doubt marvel legends will give us wired or just cloth capes for normal price. We have 0 non plastics capes from them. Even Mattel is giving is giving us plastic and wired capes
I agree. I think the wired cape would look amazing on the animated series Batman figures. However the quality of the figure itself does need to change before I even consider buying a McFarlane Batman figure.
It’s kinda funny that figures of this scale back in the 60s and 70s WERE cloth goods, like old Superman dolls and stuff, and then we moved onto plastic, now we’ve looped back around 😂
GIVEAWAY! Comment your favorite Batman below with your Instagram or Twitter Handle! Next week on 3/20/2024, I'll randomly select the winner and pin their comment! Thanks for watching!
I'm starting my own action figure collection, and finding out that McFarlane will now be making wired capes is just funny to me because I just followed your tutorial on a wired cape for the McFarlane The Batman Movie Figure😂
The Wrench is when he jumps into the gas chamber just when it is closing to save this guy named Rogers. He picks it up from a table and once inside breaks the chamber glass with it and escapes.
If McFarlane sent you the figures, you should reach out and get a statement from them if this is a one off or future. Personally, this would be great even if it is a gold label or even slightly higher price like $25. A future video is compare the wired capes from various manufacturers. The pros and cons of each. Price is probably one of the biggest differences. Personally, the rubber/plastic capes might look good, but I’ve always prefer the cloth goods wired or not.
He looks awesome. I hope he shows up here in my small town. Anyway, to answer your question, in the story, the bad guy traps Batman under a huge glass dome, but fortunately, there's a wrench nearby, so he uses it to smash the dome.
My favourite movie Batman is Christian Bale's portrayal in The Dark Knight Rises. With his low spirits after the second film then rallying up to be taken down hard by Bane, cast into the pit and then his eventually rise back to greatness, rallying the different elements in Gotham and then working with those elements to take back and save his city.
My favorite Batman has to be Batman from the Bruce Timm: Batman The Animated Series. For me, that series represents the best portrayal of Batman in any format. A big YES on the wired capes! McFarlane has been hitting it out of the park with their DC line which only goes to show how stagnant Mattel was with the license. Goes to show what a difference a CEO who actually loves toys makes. BTW, those shots of Batman at the end were on FIRE! Keep up the great work!
I honestly love how wether wired or not they’re addidng fabric capes(edit) the accessory is a wrench which he used in the comic to escape a gas chamber
If they start doing this with the DC line i want them to do it with the spawn figures too, id love to get a The hell Spawn with that dope ass cape as a bendy wire cape.
cloth capes are always a yes but i like the ones where the wire is optional, my favorite figure is of omnimon and his cape has optional wires you can add and remove at your leasure, sometimes you just want it to drape naturally yknow?
Yes Batfleck from the 6 Pack looks perfectly spot-on that I find it baffling that Todd just simply repackage that one and call it BvS Batman rather than making a completely new figure.
I'm a Marvel Legends collector, but this Batman is so awesome I'll probably buy it. Specially with the cape. I hope Hasbro takes note, cause it seems reluctant to the soft goods, which has appeared only every now and then. Great shot by the way!
I don’t think you’re blowing it out of proportion. The fact that we’re getting wired capes on figures at this price point is very exciting and impressive. It’s pretty easy to be cynical about this stuff, but plastic/rubber capes have been the norm and the fact that this is becoming more common means better band for our buck. Hopefully this will push the premium figure companies (Mafex, Mezco, etc.) to up their quality as well to differentiate the prices points. Stuff like this hopefully just continues to push companies into upping what they offer. I have a case filled with Mezco and Mafex figures and a decent amount of McFarlane Batman figures and the plastic capes really make them standout so hopefully the new cloth capes will make the figures in the case blend in more with the higher quality figs.
i dont know how much you're into Transformers or Jurassic Park but i think its worth checking out the Hammond Collection line (i reccomend either the Concavenator, Carnotaurus or the Therizinosaurus thats coming out soon) because the newer stuff from that line has some awesome articulation, thr Therizinosaurus has writsts and individually jointed claws! and as for Transformers, Studio Series concept art Megatron is one of the most poseable retail transformers out there, he has almost every single joint youd want, except for an an crunch

I would love it if wired capes were the standard going forward. My favourite Batman figure is the end of the world trench coat and goggles Batman from the Justice League movie.
They started wired capes to their Dune 2 figures, like last year, and that's a much smaller line so it was only a matter they did the same with DC Multiverse. Favourite Batman is Animated Series
McFarlane being a private company so they can change things up and can eat cost in one way to make more another. Spectre Creative who has been working in the toy industry for over 20 years had spoke on plastic vs fabric capes. It sometimes costs about the same. The wire makes it cost more.
Wired capes for that price is a HUGE deal. Need a good Moon Knight with wired capes... Let's hope Hasbro gets their act together in the cape department.
Toddfather in an interview at a toycon about a year or 2 ago explained that they couldn't do wired capes because of safety standards for kids toys. Same reason DC Multiverse figures don't come with gun accessories. He did mentioned at the time they were looking into expanding and seeing what is viable. I'm guessing wired caped figures will only ever be sold at specialty shops or mcfarlanetoys store directly and not at big retailers like Target or Walmart. It wasn't so much the cost but rather policy.
This is a dream come true, and hopefully it boosts sales enough to pressure other companies like hasbro to do the same. You're definitely not overreacting, this is a HUGE step for a toy company to make especially in this day and age where it's all profits profits profits.
I'm looking for a video on how to remove those wires from the capes. I added the 7 inch 1966 Batman (with wired cape) to my movie Batmen set. Want to remove the wire.
Just found this channel randomly and I subscribed bc this stuff is right up my alley. Just curious as to how you acquired these particular figures? They arent available until May according to the MTS which is where I purchased them from.
Azrael!? Looks Insane Good! One way of the other?!❤.last one I just got and reviewed was Batman/Superman 'Fusion' figure!(Except? He's capeless? Hahaha 😂🤣) But .song. so epic! I did get wired double capes..on McFarlane's Dune 2 figures ! So? Heck yes! Wired Capes? Work for me!😊💪
The first appearance Batman and Azrael figure don't release until May. I pre-ordered through MTS and that's what they have as the ship date. I can tell you that Target is getting them as well. They will be in store by the end of April to get ready to be put out. I reccomend going to one on the release date and asking someone to check the back. 99.9% of the time they are back there because the designated shelf they go on isn't "set" yet. So they sit around until the system asigns them a floor location.
🚨🦇FYI🦇🚨 For anyone wondering, That Blue wrench that comes with Bat, is a nod to a scene in that Detective Comics #27. Where Batman uses it to smash out of a glass gas chamber!🤘🏾 This figure is def dope/sharp! & For that price, its a really good deal! Now finding one might not be so easy 😏🦇🤘🏾🫡
Get ready for McFarlane to re-release all his Batman figures again this time with wired capes. But seriously, it makes a big difference. I dont like the thick plastic capes that Limit articulation
You had me at BVS is your favorite movie…much respect 👊. I actually like both cloth and plastic depending upon the figure. My son has been collecting these McFarland figs for about a year now and the quality can be hit or miss. Definitely like what they are doing with Batman much more than with Supes. Seems harder to find a Supes that we are really sold out on. Great video! 👍
