Even though her boyfriend dropped the charges, why did she still have to go to court?
She made the mistake of both not exercising her right to silence and then admitting what she had done. So the police didn’t need her boyfriend as a witness - they didn’t need to prove what had happened as she had admitted it.
It’s a fallacy that the police need the consent of the victim to prosecute. But Caroline made prosecution much more likely by admitting what she had done - she removed the need for her victim to act as a witness.
It is very sad. Caroline seems so sensible and reasonable in this clip.

Well, it’s sad that she committed suicide after she was arrested for hitting her boyfriend. It ruined her career. RIP

She should have acted her age. That’s why she was targeted because of her lack of class.
Lack of class ....for what exactly? You don't actually know her or what she was like so how can you make a judgement like that. A reason why she couldn't cope with comments on social media.
