Just got the LS2 Advant X Carbon. Best helmet I’ve ever had. Fits me perfectly, love the modular functioning, love the looks, great ventilation. Came with a pin lock and a spare tinted visor.
Just tried both of these helmets and bought the HJC i100 instead of the LS2. Have had both HJC and LS2 helmets before. I wear glasses and the LS2 forehead foam was pushing on the top of my eyeglass lens, which pushes the nosepieces into my nose. There’s no substitute for trying on the helmet. Everyones head is different. I also prefer D rings to speed buckles.
Is the top edge of your spectacles above your eyebrows? I, too, wear spectacles, but the top edge is below my eyebrows. I asked as I shortlisted the Ls2.
@@ononmonko4835 The top of the eyeglasses frame is about the middle of my eyebrows. I think the vertical distance from my eyebrows to the top of my head may be less than average though. I have now used fabric glue to add some felt strips to the top harness in the HJC. As the helmet foam was breaking in and molding to my head the HJC began to sit lower also. I could just tilt it back a little bit and it would be ok again but thought I’d fix it permanently. I hope.
I tried the ls2 and I guess I'm just different. The i100 in comparison has a more natural fit. It's just way more comfortable. I like the operation of the features better. Ended up buying the hjc after trying the ls2. Bought it in like a titanium grey and now for the style and color gonna buy a gloss black in xl for potential passenger. Anyway make ur own decision. I really like the hjc i100.😊
That's a bummer that the Advant X was too noisy for you. A more snug fitting helmet usually helps cut down on noise. Hopefully the HJC i100 works better for you.
I’ve got the LS2 Valliant and I’m looking for a second lid. Was thinking Advant X since I love my current bucket but today I tried on the i100. Unfortunately I can’t find a local Canadian retailer to try on the Advant X. This was a good review, thx.
I have an i100. If you want to know what it feels like as a brick to the top of your own helmet and let me know when your neck aches! At 1900g is soooo heavy, hence now buying the LS2
I went from the hjc i91 to the ls2 advant x and everything literally everything is better.. comfort light weight, it’s very quiet, doesn’t leak whatsoever in heavy wet condition, ventilation is amazing and the overall styling of the helmet in my opinion, couldn’t get any better.. do not hesitate the advant x is the best helmet since sliced bread 😂
I bought the HJC mostly because I’ve had a lot of this brand. The I100s gearing is so complex that when it seized up with the chin guard in my line of vision 1000 miles from home I was not very happy. I took it to the only helmet store in Flagstaff and they were clueless as to what went wrong with it. I ended up leaving it with them and bought the only helmet they had that fit me. When I contacted HJC they were helpful until they found out I bought the helmet on eBay. HJC instantly stopped communicating with me so when I got home I bought the LS2 to replace it.
I bought the LS2 Advent modular , for a long rode trip, but over a 3 week period I found the LS2 to be less than what I envissioned . the wind noise was insuferable even with ear plugs in / my forehead was sore after long periods in the saddle/ and the inner sun lense was starting to fall apart , I paid over 400 dollars for this helmet and wish now that I had not .
@@luisrodrigues4981 I had it since last winter until about 3 weeks ago. What I didn't like is the automatic visor closing when closing the chinbar. My fingers always remaind stuck on the visor. I'm undecided if I should wait now for the F100 or buy an jet helmet. I closed the I100 3-4 times and for colder trips I have just purchased a Schuberth C5.

Recently purchased Advant X to replace my LS2 Valiant II which I loved. Advant X is unbearably noisy. Going to try HJC i100 next.

My advant x carbon has a lot vibration/shake in the visor when in the open face configuration. Has anyone else experienced this?
Have not heard any issue in regards to that.

So, in comparison, I take it that the LS2 Advant solid (rather than the X Carbon) would still be rated more highly than the HJC i100 in your opinion?

The hjc i100 have the same visor problem that the other hjc helmets have? Weak visor sistem, visor just falls down.

I had the I100. Actually visor is a little to snug. Sometimes I had to push it down hard to close. I sold mine and ordered the new version F100
