You do relize that this is just a clickbait video made by an uninformed guy, right? These videos are made to get as much attention as possible. Check real reviews not these types.
You don’t like his facts as you own it, and feel bad that your vehicle isn’t great. So you have to pretend it is amazing. I had it for a weekend and it is terrible.
Umm, back seats not enough room, yeah, it wouldn’t be safe to you touchscreen while driving so ok with it, I test drove it and I loved it! Picking up my new 2023 tomorrow!
I can vouch for some. Small rear window is actually a plus. Unfortunately agree, it has heat and wiper but still fogs in winter. Better to just clean with wipes. I think this is all cars tho
Agree. I stopped watching during “not good in winter” because video explains “you need to brush snow off the exterior of the car” and “the rear liftgate can get very dirty” 🤣🤣 but then the video never once said anything about how it drives with snow tires on. 0/10 useless review thanks for wasting my time.
It’s funny that a lot of the knocks are on the lack of space for families. This isn’t a family car, it’s a car for guys like me. No kids, someone who keeps the rear seats down most of the time. Families aren’t the target demographic at all.
Im planning on getting this just for my own use, and to bring it out states for college lol, for family car, my dad owns a CRV himself, so if we really needed a car for ppl, his CRV can do it, mine can be for some boxes and stuff with the back seats down, making it like a van layout
@@dampergoldenrod4156 ppl can fit, but not tall ppl, especially the middle seat, if you are just bringing ppl for short rides, it wouldn't be an issue, is only hours long trips that the people in the back start to feel uncomfortable
After 18 months of owning one, it grows on you. We had many Subaru's, and they got worse with miles. Not so our CX-30. It's been good in snow here in the Pacific Northwest, and averages 32mpg. Love this car!
I'm just pissed they nickel and dime you for literally every feature. They don't even upgrade the sound until about $34k and that's where the price difference between it and the CX50 is gone. I like the car better, but I can get the heated steering wheel, heated seats, upgraded audio, larger interior, and LED headlamps for under $27k on the Trax. While AWD is nice, I'm not in an area that experiences a lot of snow. Mazda dealerships also felt a bit gross by comparison, which is a shame because it was my 1st and only consideration until the Trax came out
Touchscreens are a bad idea in cars. They can really be dangerous while driving. I think the knob used for controlling the infotainment works very well
Wow, really?! Just purchased a second CX30. There is something special about this car. Combo of style, design inside and outside, quality, driving feel. Have driven many cars in this class and above. Still come back to the cx30. Only criticism is wish had fast acceleration without going to turbo version. However It is still near best in class
I would think the downside is the penny pinching by Mazda for small features. It was my only consideration until the Trax came out and offered heated steering wheel, seats, leatherette, upgraded audio, upgraded infotainment, black wheels, led headlights, and more space for less. If Mazda offered the same features for just 2k more that would be different, but it's like $5k for most of them, which just pisses me off
Which engine do you have? I am looking to buy one with 186 hp, whats the fuel consumption on it, on 130km and on 150km, I want to buy it for longer trips only, so I will be driving 130-150 most of the time.
All of those 10 reasons are minor drawbacks and somehow funny i must say compared to the quality of this car. As far as the oil consumption concerns, if you live outside US and you buy an atmospheric engine its the best choice for reliability over time. I have mine cx 30 for 2 years and it never loose even a mm of oil! For me its a fantastic premioum quality car and with no competitors at its price and especially at the first edition it has more than everything you want. I must say that the info screen was designed intentionally by MAzda so that you want distract your attention while driving and trying to touch the screen with your hands. One of the reasons i choose this car was also this feature! Same for the aircondition buttons. Safety for MAzda is a priority compared to other competitors who they are more interested to impress the customers with touch screen etc....In real, everyday driving touch screens are more dangerous and difficult to operate, especially when a car has no buttons for the air condition.
As a owner of Mazdas, a lot of people “complain” about the center nob, that controls the screen. It’s actually not that bad at all! After like 3 times of using it I got the hang of it and love it!
I've got a 2009 BMW and a 2013 MINI Countryman. Both manual transmissions. Both had a "knob" to move the nav. I don't want to be touching a screen when I'm driving. Have you ever tried to play a game on your phone while you're in the passenger seat? That doesn't work! My CX-30 knob is where my hand is. Just the way I like it.
These are the complaints you want about an suv, extra windshield wiper fluid might get a little extra dirty lol knob placement issues??? Hehe love it. Sounds like a safe fuel efficient weather ready suv 🖤 hope you’re loving it!
THAT knob is a SAFETY FEATURE to KEEP people from being STUPIDand trying to REACH OUT for a freakin SCREEN that shouldn't be there to begin with.. I was a tow driver in Cali for a long time- and after you clean up a few wreckes where a baby or small kid is killed by some fool messing with a screen- you'd HATE them as much as I do--- oh and 87% of the accidents I worked were CAUSED by some moron messing with one!!!
I love my new 2023 Mazda CX-30! I haven't said that about a car in a very long time. However, this car is an amazing surprise -- and a surprising premium-level value.
Just bought my 2nd CX 30. It's a very handsome car. I always find my car is the best looking in a car park. Haven't had any driving issues either. Reliable car.
Which engine do you have? I am looking to buy one with 186 hp, whats the fuel consumption on it, on 130km and on 150km, I want to buy it for longer trips only, so I will be driving 130-150 most of the time.
1 - ofc you can switch off the driving aids, in the menu, and whats even more awesome is, that IT WONT TURN BACK ON AFTER YOU START THE CAR LATER AGAIN 2 - you can add "winter packet" which includes heated seatrs, heated steering whell and guess what else ... HEATED GLASS UNDER WIPERS 3 - non touch screen is awesome, touch screens are just distraction and dangerous + controls are made for android auto perfectly 4 - was mention in point 1 5 - its a compact car, if you want bigger, you can buy CX5, 7 or 9 8 - design is subjective
@@Shaolinof36thChamber on the highway the car's consumption is extremly low, in the citiy it does 11 Km with 1 liter of gas. I own a 2023 CX-30 2.0 gasoline engine.
I want to know what competing car company this guy works for? Every single thing he says is basically not stated properly or out and out incorrect. He's never owned or driven one. For one thing even though it's AWD it's not made to be an off-road vehicle like a Jeep or some other type of off-road. Can you take it off road? Certainly you can if you are careful about exactly where you take it. Like this said. It's not a 4 wheel drive it's ALL wheel drive. Those are two different things. This video is hilarious.
I saw this car up close at a dealership and was very impressed. It has many driving safety features often found only on higher end models. No, it’s not a “family” SUV, but a crossover subcompact engineered for daily commutes for city, freeway and highway driving. Primarily, it is a drivers car.
I also disagree. I own CX 30 and the car feels luxurious. The car feels safe and has a pretty smooth ride and as far as being slow , if your conservative driver it's perfect. I don't feel the speed only when getting on the freeway and passing and this car does fine. I love my CX 3O!
@@Eyma THANK YOU-- I'm glad to read that-- I've been torn between CX-30 and CX50.. and I LOVE the CX50 STYLING and look- but the CX-30 would be easier for me now-- I lost one eye and need the maneuverability it has as well as easier parking etc. than CX-50 and I won't be "offroad" unless I slide n a ditch in snow , which is why I 'love the AWD..
It always baffles me when reviwers talk about trunk space, "This 5 person car can only fit 6 mid size suitcases". How is that not enough space? where are you going with a car that you might possibly need more than a suitcase for each person
Honestly, i am 5’10 and own cx30 gt turbo and i love it especially how it looks from outside. Nothing bad to say, the non touchscreen is not bad, great speakers, the interior is lovely very minimalistic whilst showing modern style, it goes fast, comfy for long drives, and 360 camera helps with parking. Idk what trim level this guy is commentating abt tho.
Safety all on the driver. If hes gonna drive like psycho, going 130km/h on this thing doesnt even scare me. I feel confident driving this thing everywhere
I have this doubt about the rear seat. Could I please ask that if you were to sit behind yourself, would you have the seat touching your knees? This is my only concern about this car.
@@superhydrocarbon I think rear leg room is def an issue if you plan on driving ur family, as it does tend to be a bit smaller than its competitors in its class
I hate touchscreen stuff in cars. I want to keep my eyes on the road. I do wish the screen were larger. As to size - I'm rarely going to have more than 2 people in the car, and don't need legroom in back. The small size is a bonus - it makes parking easier!
I have CX-30 stil 7 months and absolutely satisfied with it. Nicer interior exterior than Honda / Toyota but great performance. Sincere recommendation for this car !
Which engine do you have? I am looking to buy one with 186 hp, whats the fuel consumption on it, on 130km and on 150km, I want to buy it for longer trips only, so I will be driving 130-150 most of the time.
@@donzole3180 the engine is 2000 ccm, 122 hp. With automatic shift gear. Driving on super highway with 130-150 the fuel consumption is around 8 liters/ 100 km
You missed the entire point of the CX-30, it's not really a CUV, it's more like what Honda did with the Accord Crosstour or Subaru Outback. The ground clearance is good for uneven roads, potholes, speed bumps, snow, fire trails, or unpaved roads where you might worry about bottoming out the car. With all the road work going on around the nation, especially in New England a CX-30 might be a good option for a young family who wants a compact car. If that visibility is bad, then you shouldn't be driving. I drive a Mazda3 hatchback and it has poor visibility to some, but it doesn't bother me. There side view mirrors are large, the back up cam is crystal clear, there's blind spot warnings and an instrument display of a car next to you. The ride is not as brutal as you say it is, it's a lot better than Subaru that's in it's class. CX-30 is a niche market kind of car, it's not made to appeal to everyone, just like my Mazda3. Not everyone wants a compact AWD hatchback with sporty characteristics, but I'm glad they built one for those of us who wants one.
I was actually looking into purchasing a Mercedes suv but ended up coming across the cx-30 while looking on the lot. Best choice I ever made so far. It has all the functionality I was looking for in a luxury car but for way less in cost. My only complaint is the back seat is too small but other than that I love this car! The car will notify you that it needs only but if you end up having engine issues it’s most likely because you neglect the cautionary notification for a long time 😅
I had a Honda 2008 civic I handed down to my 16 year old grandson. I got the 2023 Mazda cx-30 a few weeks ago. Mica blue premium black/brown interior. There's so much I don't know about the features compared with my simple civic but I've got time to figure it out. I wondered about how to put names on the gps saved locations in addition to the addresses. I like the safety features and auto assist. So much is automatic! It's the best car for me. Don't carry a lot of people or stuff around. Drives smoothly and feels very comfortable on the road.
Strange… had this in Florida. Loved it. Drove it up to Buffalo. -only time I wasn’t thrilled to be in the car. As for “control” -I’ve never driven a car that understood exactly what to do and where to go effortlessly like the Cx30. Nimble, athletic, visually striking, and an overall damn near perfect machine. The backseat being a little small aside, once we threw winter tires on the car, it became a winter enthusiasts dream. I have no idea what possible drawbacks you can say this car has. The fact that it does everything you want out of the box with no additional tinkering (and better than anything else in the price range and 30k plus above it) is reason enough to not hate it. I never once see another vehicle no matter the make and model and feel like what I’m driving is inferior in any way. In fact, I almost feel sorry for anyone NOT driving a Mazda these days, simply because their whole claim to fame is HOW the car drives. I have no idea how anyone who actually drives one can think you’ll find a more athletic and responsive machine. The MPG is in my honest opinion, the only drawback, and with what it is, I see no reason why Mazda doesn’t perfect the rotary and stick it back in a Supra competitor.
Completely disagree with everything except the small backseat/leg room. This car is awesome and luxurious for the price and the turbo is fast & smooth.
We bought at 2023 CX-30 Carbon Edition. The Infotainment system is fantastic. I prefer the dials and buttons vs. touch screen now. When you rest or your arm on the center arm rest, your hand falls naturally to the LCD control dials and buttons. I can zip through the Mazda menus and AppleCar Play faster than our Honda Pilot's touch screen. So easy to learn and get used to. Took about 10 minutes to figure this thing out. Took about a week to really get used to it when driving. Now I absolutely hate having to lean forward and LOOK at an LCD touch screen to navigate it's features when I'm driving. ...Touching screens are highly unnerving now... The smaller infotainment screen in elevated and in perfect position in relation to the window - It's practically a heads-up display. I can easily see the road in front me with my peripheral vision when glancing at the display. I don't want a giant distracting LCD display buried below the top of the dashboard that controls every aspect of the car. I'm not watching a map much less watching a movie when I drive. Winter driving is a non-issue. Snow doesn't build-up in front the headlights. What a dumb comment. review view visibility is not an issue when back up, or changing lanes. Plenty of visibility all around. The interior is snug, but it's not a "family vacation hauler" type of car - it's small. We do use it to run the family around town - and it's good little grocery getter. For the front passengers there's plenty of room unless your 6' 5"... You can actually get this car without a Turbo, so if there's a claimed oil issue with the Turbo Engine (never heard such a thing), there are other options. ...We don't have a Turbo engine. The 2.5L normal engine is fantastic. Love the body cladding - especially when driving my canoe to remote lakes down two tracks and gravel roads. So the cladding is actually (gasp) functional. The CX-30 handles rough roads beautifully - see comment above. ...have you guys actually driven this car? FFS! This car is fantastically stable and nimble when needing to accelerate to passing speeds of 80+ mph - even with the normal (non-turbo) engine. Seriously. Have you guys even driven this car? If people want a solid review of the CX-30 - here you go.... ruclips.net/video/SVcSvHcAS8c/видео.html
I regret I got an HRV. Inferior driving dynamics compared to this! Do you have like this for an HRV? Or just nitpicking the Mazda cx30? Drove a mazda 2, 3 and cx5. Man…. They are just… amazing to drive! Driving the honda to a countryside? Feels tired all the time but with mazdas? A 5-hour drive is just like a 1hr…
Have had my 2020 cx-20 preferred since brand new. I have 83k miles on it, all highway. Have changed one set of tires and new brakes thus far. Routine oil changes every 6,000 miles and it has been a God send. Gas mileage still holding strong at 32 mpg on average. Honestly cannot relate to what is noted in this post and I live in Upstate NY where winters are as bad as any in the country. This car is rock solid in the snow. In fact I'm about to get into a new Carbon edition. Lastly, the sound system rivals the Harmon Kardon system in my Benz. Advice: look no further than the CX-30.
The snowy weather performance complaints really shoudl be addressed to the factory Bridgestone EL440 tires. The car will perform much better with somethig like Michelin X-climate all seasons. Note that the AWD will mitigate the"meh" OEM tire selection to some degree.
LOL, all you need to know about how great of a car this is is to read all the endless positive replies from owners below who are mystified by this critique. I've had my new CX-30 for 7 mos now, and cannot recommend it enough. Thought I would be a Toyota guy for life but once I started researching, I would’ve waited two extra months for this car if I had to. Just an absolute blast to drive. I actually look forward to running errands. And Mazda's reliability has overtaken Toyota and Honda and no CVT transmission. No wonder Car and Driver named it Editor's Choice.
I have a 2022 cx30. It’s just me and my wife. When family comes over it’s hard to fit everyone and all the luggage but when it’s just two of us the car is very comfortable
Which engine do you have? I am looking to buy one with 186 hp, whats the fuel consumption on it, on 130km and on 150km, I want to buy it for longer trips only, so I will be driving 130-150 most of the time.
I just bought a 2024 cx30 3 weeks ago and just love mine. Fits me just fine. Rides great and I bought it in gunmetal great. Gone over many potholes and seemed smooth to me. And it's very stable at 70mph.
The infotainment center in the Mazda is the best one out there in this price range by far there’s not one even close. I used to be a loyal Honda owner. I switched over the Mazda. This is a far superior car with a lot more options for the same or less money.
Obviously looking for things to complain about , but none are a deal breaker for me, and helped talk me into buying one for sure if this is all you can find wrong ! I’ve heard way more great things about this car than these minor flaws ! Thank You !
I have 2023 CX 30 and it's an excellent car. It is very easy to control the screen by the center knob. Only the back seats are little bit small. But smooth drive and luxurious interior.
im currently in the market for one so i thought id drop by. while i did know about some of the issues like less space compared to other competitve subcompact some of the other reasons like "dirt gets on the car" are a pretty big stretch as far as a reason to avoid buying a cx-30
I've owned a '22 CX-30 for a year now, don't let this guy steer you away from it. Its a great car and I have zero qualms about buying it at MSRP. I'll drive this thing until it explodes in a few hundred thousand miles. Rear visibility is fine, the infotainment system works 100x better than a touch screen, and there is plenty of space. The infotainment is useable without even looking at the screen, and is legitimately astronomically safer than a touch screen. Interior isn't cramped at all. This dude is just overly nitpicking the vehicle or some reason.
tbh the only reason that kinda gets me worried out of all of them in the video is the headlights one, snow build up would def look concerning on paper, but I haven't purchased one so Im not quite sure if its really that big of a deal, and for the leg room issue, I already knew it would be small, and plus I just use it for going to college out of the city, so I wouldn't really worry that much, not planning on buying one for family car anyway
@@shinefake48 same. i've had it for about 2 months now since my last comment and everyone in my family are tiny asians so while i knew it was "small" it wasn't really an issue.
The only reason on here that would be a concern is the oil consumption. I’d have to look into that. The biggest contradiction here is the supposed sluggish acceleration and then the picture of the turbo engine that propels this car to 60 in under 6 seconds. Lol. I drove this back to back with the CX5 and yes it’s obviously smaller. I’m 6’3 and found both driving positions very comfortable. The most remarkable difference is in the handling and fun factor. The CX30 was so much better driving it wasn’t even close. Acceleration was effortless with the turbo too. The only concern I have is the sacrifice of some utility. I look at this car as a good mix of sporty and SUV. It’s very quick and nimble but you also have AWD and decent ground clearance for any season. As far as visibility I really didn’t notice anything worse with the CX30 over the CX5. I think this video is more about nitpicking and opinions than anything else.
Drove one yesterday to Reno Nevada. Drives and handles very well. Even took Highway 88...lots of curves. It was awesome! On top of all that fuel consumption was superb 9:07
After working for a Mazda dealership for 5 months, I have absolutely fallen in love with the CX-30. It also sells like crazy. Soooooo...yeah...it will 99% most likely be my next vehicle.
I think most of the issues raised apply to most smaller SUVS. I much prefer the smaller sleek entertainment screen than those larger (stuck in your face) type. They forgot to mention the premium finishes on the interior and standard extras you even get on the entry versions.
I love my non turbo CX30. I think it looks awesome. My only complaint is the climate control switches are a little too small to see right away distracting you from the road. I have no problem with the entertainment system.
I have a 2023 Carbon Edition CX-30, I have buttons to turn off the monitors and traction control, not sure what model you are reviewing. Also, the center knob works fine, I prefer it to a touch screen. This video seems to be your opinions, not facts, and some of those are wrong. I do agree with some of your statements though, it is a little sluggish off the line (I have a non-turbo version) and you have to keep the revs up for a "fun" driving experience.
I just got one! I’ve turned off some of the gizmos. The dealer might have to disable i-stop. That screen can be turned off. Visibility is ok. I carry a walker and folding chair in the back. Performance is just fine. I don’t need a race car. I like the car.
"the car is unsable at high speeds", it would be nice to know at what speeds it is unstable, 100 km/h?, 150? 200? who knows. Also it's pretty minor but mazda sells it as compact crossover, not a SUV
Is this channel have a problem with Mazda? or they getting from others $$$ to give bad review about Mazda? Just curious 🧐! I have got Mazda CX5 and I’m very satisfied and loved it.
The oil consumption issue isn’t very common on some 2020-2021 models with turbos because defective valve seals. And it wouldn’t be a recall because it isn’t a safety issue.
Just found out about having to maybe remove the snow from the headlights. I had 2 on order and just canceled thanks to this video. Ain’t no one got time for that
I totally agree with a person down in the comments area that these 10 "reasons" are just minor cons of this car. Extra oil consumption is not based on facts and allegedly just a report of a few drivers (where? how many? etc). I agree though with the limited visibility and cladding points you raised. These are valid points. The rest are just nit picking. Last point of " poor stability" - what does it even mean? Being firm and unstable on the road are two different things. It is like comparing a car with coilovers and the car without an antiroll bar. All Mazdas are generally on the firm side. This has been since Ford owned Mazda. I own 2 Mazdas and they are both on a firm side comparing to competition. That is what I like and it is a matter of choice. Also, safety packages are designed for general masses who do not even know what stability or traction control is. So even if Mazda added a feature where you could switch it off - the vast majority of people will never touch this button. What people care about is reliability, looks and tech. I would add by saying that tech is where Mazda is slightly behind. For example infotainment system and all of it`s downfalls. Reliability and looks - Mazda nailed it.
driving mazda everyday and loving it bro... i travel to other countries a lot and during my travel i will rent cars and had driven multiple brands of cars, and mazda exceed most car maker. and touchscreen is definitely a hassle during driving so im loving my buttons and knobs. thinking about getting new car and considering another mazda car. cheers
As someone who has had their new CX 30 for seven months now, I cannot recommend it enough. Thought I would be a Toyota guy for life but once I started researching, I would’ve waited two extra months for this car if I had to. Absolute blast to drive. Actually look forward to running errands and their reliability has overtaken Toyota and Honda and no CVT transmission.
I don't think anybody driving these would agree that they're sluggish unless coming from a totally different incomparable vehicle class. Compared to Subarus and Hyundais, this thing feels like a sports car
I'd just begun looking for one. When I saw the title of this video, I thought "Oh no!" but none of those reasons would be deal breakers for me. I'd be a little more careful about oil consumption but that's about it. I like the looks. I'm a single guy so the space issues are not relevant for me.
I doubt you get this oil consumption, and if you do there's a problem. If you get (got?) at turbo model...you should change the oil every 3k miles to keep the turbo in shape and let the engine idle for a little before turning it off to prevent carbon build-up.
I found out that the gas cap door won’t open. I asked the dealership why this would happen and all they said was it was something they can’t fix. Fortunately I was just stopping to top off. I got out to add gas after turning the car off and the gas door would not open. I got online to see if this was an ongoing problem and I could find 3-5 entries complaining of this issue. The fix was to wait it out. I drove to the dealership and when I got there I checked the door before checking in and it was working. This can be a very dangerous issue if you were low on gas and didn’t want to wait in the area you were in… (an unfamiliar area of a unfamiliar town) - I drive a cx30 2022
Everything is v.good MAZDA CX 30 comparison with other cars . It’s practical & easy to drive more powerful & reliable . It’s still best in class & right choice for me have been drive for nearly 3years. I will definitely not agree what you going to say more
If youre buying this car, you need to ensure that your insurance covers storms, floods etc.. my car speakers were completed ruined after water seeped into the car. Which would also mean there is some gap at the doors for water to seep in😢
Well yes, no matter the car WATER will find a way in. If any car drives into deep water that water will flood the interior. No car is built that tight to prevent that. It's not a submarine. Watch any video here on RUclips where a car drives into high water and you'll see it flood.
I have a cx-30 turbo and let me tell ya, its super fun to drive with over 300ft lbs of torque and i've gotten that baby up to 200km hr and I find the suspension holds well even after 50k km. mines a 2021 but they're the same car
I come from Corolla 2020 HB with a sparetyre (basically no trunk) so this is like a ship to me. What i love about this one is: 2.5 atmospheric engine Price Interior is perfect even better than some entry levels of Mercedes etc. Trunk is more than 500 litres. Compact, so it is good for a crowded city. You can open the trunk manually and from the outside (can't really believe I am getting impressed by that) From the outside looks great, especially from the front. Resale price.
I am driving one now as a courtesy car while my dealership works on my Mazda 6. I kind of like it. Maybe the only concern is some of the nanny features. High beams turning on in heavy traffic at night. Some of the monitoring features did not work on a frosty morning. I have not noticed any of the other complaints mentioned in this video yet. I get to keep the car for a few more days.
I'm trying to figure out what and why you need an "infotainment" system in a vehicle. Aren't cars for driving? Isn't it illegal to be on your cell phone in most areas, how is playing with a google any different?
Have had mine since June 5th 2023 and have never had an issue or problem. It's safety features are on point & I'm in complete control of my ride. I doubt I'll drive anything other than a Mazda
For the ice and snow in winter, you don't need to heat up the car to free the windshield wipers. Mazda has heated windshield wipers designed specifically unfreeze themselves in winter.
I have a 2021 cx30 and LOVE it. I think it’s safer to not have the touch screen, there’s less eye focus needed to use the turn dial. Yes the back seat isn’t large but I don’t think someone needing a larger backseat would buy this size It’s my favorite car I’ve ever had!
I disagree with whole video, I have driven 90k on mine, it's good to great in all categories. Mine is 2.5l no turbo. No issues so far, I still have the original brakes. It is big in the front seats and comfortable. I would say stay away from all small turbo compacts. If you like the Kona be prepared to get in que for a new turbo and engine, they are cheaply made. There's this thing called a snow brush to clear the snow 😂 .
I saved 33000 with this video, not cx30 for me at all….thank you
You messing out , my only issue is the fuel tank size that's all , I get 33 mpg or
300 miles per tank . 😊

It’s funny that a lot of the knocks are on the lack of space for families. This isn’t a family car, it’s a car for guys like me. No kids, someone who keeps the rear seats down most of the time. Families aren’t the target demographic at all.
The reviewer really wants a mini-van.
@@frankzappa5162 right? Every car doesn’t nor should it have families in mind. And I don’t see families in their marketing for this car.

Im planning on getting this just for my own use, and to bring it out states for college lol, for family car, my dad owns a CRV himself, so if we really needed a car for ppl, his CRV can do it, mine can be for some boxes and stuff with the back seats down, making it like a van layout

After 18 months of owning one, it grows on you. We had many Subaru's, and they got worse with miles. Not so our CX-30. It's been good in snow here in the Pacific Northwest, and averages 32mpg. Love this car!
May I ask what model you have please ?
@@joobip6174 We have a premium, without turbo.
@@rereichel That's the one we have. We love it.

I think the knob used for controlling the infotainment works very well
100% true
Also may be illegal to use when driving depending on where you are.
We own a 2021 CX-9 Signature and I can’t wait to get rid of it. I find the center knob more of a distraction than a touch screen.
knobs can break and get liquid spilled on them at the location they are placed in this car.
Exactly, sometimes these reviewers make themself sound like idiots. As with any car you have to get accustomed to its features.

It is indeed a safety feature, But, If you are so inclined, you can change the settings to keep the touchscreen enabled while driving,
Minor drawbacks?? Would like to see you in 2 feet of snow unable to remove traction control...

1 - ofc you can switch off the driving aids, in the menu, and whats even more awesome is, that IT WONT TURN BACK ON AFTER YOU START THE CAR LATER AGAIN
2 - you can add "winter packet" which includes heated seatrs, heated steering whell and guess what else ... HEATED GLASS UNDER WIPERS

I also disagree. I own CX 30 and the car feels luxurious. The car feels safe and has a pretty smooth ride and as far as being slow , if your conservative driver it's perfect. I don't feel the speed only when getting on the freeway and passing and this car does fine. I love my CX 3O!

Yesss! I totally agree! Just bought at 2023 cx-30 today, and I'm already inlove!

I don’t think these minor cons can define the car not to get it! This is the best car I’ve ever driven😊loving it
Strange… had this in Florida.
FFS!

Whaaaaaat? The cx30 is a great car. Driving and quality is definitely up on par with brands like Bmw or Audi.

This video was absolute garbage.

I do agree on the Climate Control buttons being a bit small to find, lol. Guess I do have a complaint about this car.

I’d get the Mazda over a Honda HR-V due to the CVT in a lot of Honda vehicles.
I just got one! I’ve turned off some of the gizmos. The dealer might have to disable i-stop. That screen can be turned off. Visibility is ok. I carry a walker and folding chair in the back.

One thing I must agree with is that rear visibility is bad and the windows are so small. The window panels are very high so you can’t rest your arm

The center stack media/knob control is awesome. I love using the dial, don't even have to look down to use it.
"the car is unsable at high speeds", it would be nice to know at what speeds it is unstable, 100 km/h?, 150? 200? who knows.

Ain’t no one got time for that
Thanks for these advises I am going to upgrade Mazda3 to cx30 ❤😊
I will take a CX 30 over a Kona any day.
I bought 2 lol
driving mazda everyday and loving it bro... i travel to other countries a lot and during my travel i will rent cars and had driven multiple brands of cars, and mazda exceed most car maker. and touchscreen is definitely a hassle during driving so im loving my buttons and knobs. thinking about getting new car and considering another mazda car.
When you make something superior to everyone else there’s always going to be nitpickers
I'd just begun looking for one. When I saw the title of this video, I thought "Oh no!" but none of those reasons would be deal breakers for me. I'd be a little more careful about oil consumption but that's about it. I like the looks. I'm a single guy so the space issues are not relevant for me.
I love mine I am so surprised how great this suv is you will not be disappointed
I doubt you get this oil consumption, and if you do there's a problem. If you get (got?) at turbo model...you should change the oil every 3k miles to keep the turbo in shape and let the engine idle for a little before turning it off to prevent carbon build-up.
Brought to you by Toyota
Brought to you by Toyota? They have a stake in Mazda........dont know if you were aware?
I own the Cx 30 and it’s great. I have driven in snow handles very well
Everything is v.good MAZDA CX 30 comparison with other cars . It’s practical & easy to drive more powerful & reliable . It’s still best in class & right choice for me have been drive for nearly 3years. I will definitely not agree what you going to say more
I presume you are being payed by Hyundai - I have a CX30 and it is amazing and looks very cool
What i love about this one is:
2.5 atmospheric engine
Price
Interior is perfect even better than some entry levels of Mercedes etc.
Trunk is more than 500 litres.
Compact, so it is good for a crowded city.
You can open the trunk manually and from the outside (can't really believe I am getting impressed by that)
From the outside looks great, especially from the front.
Bought mine 6 months ago and is beyond what I expected. Also I pull a meerkat trailer
Yes the back seat isn’t large but I don’t think someone needing a larger backseat would buy this size
It’s my favorite car I’ve ever had!
