Lockyer is on the recruitment board at the Broncos, you would think he would have a bit of influence on retainment. The board insisted that Walker was to be a fullback Walsh was to be a future half and so on. It seems Lockyer whilst having a playing record second to none that is where his talent ends. You would think him being one of the best in both positions he would have had a strong say. Poor decisions all round.

Broncos has an old boys problem. The reason kids go there, is for that old boys gloss to rub off on them. same thing happened with channel 9 and the cricket, they stacked the comm team with old boy players about a dozen of them and the coverage was infected with the old heiracy and politics....cost a fortune to put on and felt all the same - some other network came in and bought the rights and leaned it down and made it better again. Military in australia has an old boys problem. Private schools and the finance banking sector has an old boys problem, Sydney got ruined by it - try living there or working there in anything higher than middle management - you cant. The problem is old boy networks base decisions on 'alpha males' opinions, and, not data and facts...

Unfortunately losing other experienced players due to cap restrictions will take much away that Reynolds has to work with. They definitely need to compete for longer when things aren't going their way. The 6 again hasn't done them any favours.

Just remember what happened in 2018, Dragons thrashed the Broncos under Wayne and bailed out of finals...the master coach was in fact the "apprentice" Bellamy, his track record speaks for itself, the fact that the Storm have thrashed Brisbane for almost a decade is no easy feat, Wayne hasn't been to a premiership since 2015... just look at the Melbourne Storm system, top 4 every year, they turned a makeshift half Cooper Cronk the player he is today, its happening to Jarome Hughes atm. Football is a game of percentages, and it's also a team sport at the end of the day. Wayne also relied on a balance of old heads and young talent to get the team humming. But, respect to Kevvie, trust he will do what's needed for our great club.

I would like to see the NRL implement a system wherein players are paid based on where their club is in the Ladder. Players should then in turn play their absolute heart out for their full pay instead of only when contracts are up in the air.

Bennett didn't destroy the club Seibold destroyed the club. Look when Wayne left the club they were a top 4 team just coming off a gf that they were 1 minute off winning. Still had a excellent side and the best young talent in the country. And the most important thing they were playing really good footy week in week out from the best player in the side to the guy's at the bottom of the list all playing to their potential. Then look when Seibold left the club. The place was pathetic. Still had a good line up but he never brought through any young guy's only lost them like what he did with Sam walker and Reece Walsh. They left this year but all the damage was done under Seibold. He continued with the same player's like Milford who were playing bad footy for a long time. That drop kick destroyed the club and left it that bad it's going to be years before they get back to where the broncos should be, a top 4 side.

If you want a cleanout, here's to get rid of - Turpin, Lodge, Gamble, Glenn, Milford, Croft, Copley, Kennar, Gamble, Te'o, Levi, Asiata, Kevin Walters. Some long servants to the team but don't offer anything going forward and just are 2nd choice options taking up the cap. A guy like Turpin who was supposed to be the incumbent to Mcullough, hasn't really done anything to justify his spot in the team, offers nothing in attack. Glenn should take a back seat and play off the bench, let a youngster take that position much like Tuivasa Scheck making way for Walsh. Karmichael has shown that he is past it and offers no value in the 2 games he has played. Isaako is a winger, not a fullback. I believe you can move him on too.
This team, is just a team filled with individuals atm, there is no team work in attack or defence, and has been the case even since last season. David Fifita was scoring his tries from individual efforts and had no real setup to his tries. Until they can form combinations in attack and actually get the front foot in games will be the time they will gain confidence. Every time Pangai had the ball, there should have always been someone there to support just in case he offloaded. Rabbits offloaded at will and every single time, they had support and made an extra 10-15 metres. It's the 1 percenters that the broncos aren't doing that are costing them dearly

I like Kevvy but didn’t believe his comment that there is not a cultural problem. There is. Culture (on-field) doesn’t exist without leadership (on-field). Remember a few years ago when the very young broncs (average age of roster) started going downhill and the talk was all about how the talent/youth combo would eventually turn the club back into a powerhouse? Well a lot of the really good talent just couldn’t hold on and has been leaving or let go in droves. Some solid older hands in key positions with 3 or so more good years in them could have been the glue, but they had issues on that front too. Without depth they need to import the likes of Reynolds (and more) in to provide the infield leadership and culture
