The most emotional naga folks story that mom narrate me when I was a kid at a age of 8/9 and now I turn 29,,miracely saw this story, and reminds me my pass childhood age.😊 Thank you..❤
My dad and mom narrated this story to me when I was 10 and I still remember 😢 this story made me tear up 🤧 tq for bringing bck memories. First story to make me cry, now I'm 23
The story is good but don't you think the father don't actually love the kids because he just abandoned them coz they use to be sad and the kids turn to monkey
Similar story of our tribe RONGMEI but atlast in our story the wicked woman was killed by husband and separated her body into two pieces. Both the siblings became a monkey 😂😂😂
This story has a slight similarity with the Karbi folklore ( a hill tribe in Assam). The story that we had in our folklore is called "Korhon Jangrengso" or "Korhon the Orphan" in English. Here's the link ruclips.net/video/5S3s2ucTFVw/видео.htmlsi=vd4ayDwuH9j07SGm
What is the source of all these stories? What proof do you have to back them up? Did you personally go from village to village, collecting information from elders? Where exactly does this information come from?
Hi! 🙋♀️💕 We are fortunate to have access to a rich collection of folktale books from various tribes, which serve as a primary source for many of the stories we share. Additionally, we are blessed with viewers who generously send us stories from their communities. Yes, we do personally engage with elders, friends, and relatives to gather oral narratives. Furthermore, there are numerous papers and scholarly studies available online that provide extensive insights. If you wish to seek more in-depth information, please do refer to the sources we mention and rely on. We encourage you to explore them for a deeper understanding and appreciation of these tales. Thank you for your interest!
@ Ah, did you say books? By that logic, many years from now, people might assume Harry Potter was real. After all, even in that book, they perform magic and other unbelievable things. And if anyone asks for the source, they’ll probably be directed to the actors who played the roles, right? #Folktales 😂 That’s all I needed to know. Your channel is influencing the younger generation with these stories, which is great. But it seems like you dont fully understand the difference between fact and fiction.
Harry Potter is not a good example because that is book series written by a.single author JK Rowling..some of her creatures are based on English and European folklore. No one will think the tale is real or an unauthorized folktale because we already have an archive source that directly states who to author is..plus in western publishing systems they have serial numbers in the books and a archived collection of published books. In the USA it's called the calling number and it can even be traced to the library of Congress the biggest library in the usa. They call it number is kept in catalog of the library and even share in interconnected libraries. Harry potter is not a folktale but has elements of English folktales.
Nagas are not Indian nor Myanmar. Nagas have history, folk tales and Identity. Indian is fooling Nagas for long time. Neither Indian nor Myanmar have rights over this land. Let all tribes know about it. Indian are enjoying fighting between tribes like watching monkey circus. Nagas should be United. That time isn't long. Travel, Meet, Talk and Unite.
Why do people believe in all this made up stories. Anything in the name of content these days. Just rename ur channel to “Fictional stories from the hills” that will be a more realistic approach to storytelling.
Hi 🙋♀️ Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I truly appreciate your perspective, and I understand where you are coming from. However, the purpose of our channel, Hilly Tales, is not just to entertain but also to preserve and share the rich cultural heritage and oral traditions of the Naga people and Northeast India. These stories, whether they are folklore, myths, or legends, are deeply rooted in the identity and history of the communities they come from. While some may view them as fictional, they hold immense value for understanding the beliefs, values, and way of life of our ancestors. Our aim is to present these tales respectfully and authentically, keeping the cultural essence alive for future generations. That said, we have chosen Hilly Tales to keep it concise and appealing. Thank you once again for taking the time to share your feedback! 😊
u must be a devil worshiper i suppose to believe a human can turn into a monkey, fairy, etc. and NO! all this made up stories has no value. We are mere mortals and we don’t posses such powers. I believe in our one true Lord, our saviour Jesus Christ and nowhere in the Bible does anyone talk about Nagas or anyone Turning into something which is not possible. Pushing the folklore narrative Down peoples throat whether we agree or not is a bit too unrealistic. You speak as though you were there when our ancestor’s came up with such tales. Some events might be true but There should be a limit between facts and fiction. The rest, if you wish to continue brainwashing the younger generations. That’s upto you.
