Rick’s police training definitely showed here He recognized very quickly that Tony was looking to Dave for signals on what to do indicating that they have a system in place and have done this little game before When Tony walks over to take a piss That was clearly getting himself into a strategical position Then Dave also got up and positioned himself directly on the other side of Rick putting him directly between the 2 At that moment Rick went into prepared mode and was ready to draw at a split seconds notice Tony and Dave had sized up the 3 of them and assessed Rick as the only real threat they knew if they took him out the other 2 would not put up a fight But again Rick saw that and stayed ready even after Dave tried to lure him into a false sense of security by putting his gun on the bar When he lunged for it Rick fired a shot before Dave was even able to raise the gun Then just as impressively was able to be calm and cool enough to keep in the back of his head exactly where the other guy Tony was to turn completely around and shoot him multiple times before he could even react to his Friend being taken out. Absolute moment of badassery from Rick Now Hershel has a reason to let Rick stay He made it clear that he can read people and situations with deadly accuracy and that he will help keep Hershel’s family safe from the threat that is just as dangerous if not more so than Walkers.
This is a defining moment for Rick Before that he said we don’t kill the living Now from that moment he knows he must do it to protect his people And that music at the end is like showing what Rick is capable of and that he is a fighter One of the many best scenes in this show.
Fun Fact the home used for filming the show in this Season is from a very religious older couple that was very apprehensive about letting AMC film here They ultimately allowed it and they established two major rules No walkers on the property and no cussing inside the house This is why you see so few walkers on the actual farm in the season And the owners also refused to allow the home to be used in any fan tours I believe they sold it later on.
The thing about Shane is exactly what Andrea told him, it's about the execution. A lot of the judgement calls he makes are justified, but the way he goes about it is always so dramatic for no reason lol
This is my OG show!😍. I watched from day one and waited week by week, season by season! It was an agonizingly beautiful experience 😂 Loving your reactions! Keep up the epic work 🤩
I binged it and I could not stop watching episodes. I do not believe I watched anything else on television but The Walking Dead for weeks. I know sometimes a break is needed but the writing is excellent and I fell in love with some of the characters. So I had to see what came next. Give yourself a limit of episodes when you watch and be mindful of your feelings
Awesome moment for Rick one of my favourites The first time he murdered anyone but he had to do it to protect the farm and his family Plus if you go back and rewatch that scene you can see Dave (the guy at the bar) right after he says This guy looks down at his gun laying on the bar like he was going to reach for it Sheriff Rick read that glance perfectly😁
I didn't start the series until 2016. I binged S1-6 and was watching live S7, which totally threw me bcuz i was not expecting that. Shane was totally wrong for what he did, that is Hershel property, and he was being courteous letting them stay there. Shane should have left when he wanted too before, but noooo Lori have to have her 2 bodyguards there fighting over her (roll eyes). I always holler when Daryl calls Lori Olive Oyl, he was so right for that lol. Maggie is something else, Rick needs Glenn's help to get Hershel and Maggie saying no he can't go to help with her FATHER. This is Rick's 1st human kill, and this after he said we don't kill the living but as he found out the living is worst than the dead, so yeah the bad ones have to go. Glad to see you back and i pray all is well with your family. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.
"but noooo Lori have to have her 2 bodyguards there fighting over her (roll eyes)" I don't even think it was like that. Clearly they were friends before the apocalypse, anyway. Then he was a lover/safe haven when it all started. Of course she is not going to just be like, "Well go on, then. Peace out." and encourage him to take off. None of them would have encouraged any of their fellow group members to take off alone, least of all Shane, who is a asset to the group with his survival ability.
@deepforestfire Shane is more of liability than anything, with his hot-headiness and inability to stop obsessing over lori. And lori was dumb for asking him to stay knowing what he's like and what she told Rick about him being dangerous. Yeah, it would be hard being a human being knowing he might die out there, but that's the life he chose.
Hershel didn't know. Otis put her in the barn born he shot Carl then Shane left him for the walkers. He never had a chance to tell them he found the little girl.
Rick tearing himself up about Sophia but it wasn't his fault Sophia waited all of 2 minutes for him to come back. He said wait here for me and if I don't come back then he told her how to get back.
I mean, he was the last adult with her. He shouldn't have let her out of his sight. He shouldn't have told her to leave. He takes responsibility for Sophia because he himself failed her in her last moments. Sure you can blame all sorts of things, but at the end of the day, Rick Grimes faces his very first failure with Sophia. This is forever a turning point for him.
Shane did the right thing, but (as usual) his motives were selfish. That's (IMO) why Shane and Lori connect. They both are very impulsive and selfish, whereas Rick thinks harder about his decisions and how those decisions affect others (which is why he's a good leader). Everyone is fallible, but Rick is better at self-reflection than (some) some in the group. BTW, If you haven't already seen Stranger Things and Squid Games, those are great series to start since they have a big fan base.
@@bethanychatman9531 That's your opinon. But, I think it was macabre that Herschel kept the walkers in the shed. As usual, Shane was nasty in his approach, but it needed to be done.
If Rick had not gone out looking for Hershel things would have gone really bad for him. Hershel would either be dead or the farm would have been taken over by Dave and Tony's group.
Lol.lol i never ever was a fan of zombie movies, tv shows etc. But wheh i but up on this show many years ago. It was so so so did i said so? Addicting that i watched it for 3 days straight. I ended up dresming about the show my mind was warp on it. Lol lol. And they kept adding more seasons you know i had to watch everthing related to the walking dead. As you can tell adficted to great reactors of the show.
I saw the first episode of TWD about a year ago, and I have binge watched it 6 times now, the whole series, and I just keep doing it over and over, I don't believe I've missed anything about by now, feels like checking in on family now lol 😂
Please keep on reacting to this. Why don't you release one every 5 hours I just don't understand haha. Love your attitude and you have a beautiful smile I hope you have a wonderful day
In this episode plenty of examples of why Lori's not a fan favorite character. She's definitely not one of mine. She has no sense whatsoever! How do you crash a car when you're the only one on the road? LOL
Shane was wrong in the way he handled the incident at the barn. Not in the principal of what happened, but the insensitive nature of it. Hershel needed to be shown this without some insane bullshit. Shane just has a no think, 100% all hot headed approach. Add into his possessive nature snd obsession with Lori and Carl...I hated him from very early in the series. Lori, she is frustrating...but I do understand being torn in different directions. I do understand being afraid. I do understand wanting to feel safe in an unsafe world. She isn't wrong for feeling those things. She just should handle it better. Once Shane attempted to Rape her at the CDC, she should have been very clear about letting him leave. He should have trained everyone at the farm on guns, then snuck out at night. He continuously makes the wrong choices, thinking he is making the right ones. I hate his character. It showed me Jon Berenthal is a damn good actor though, he played an asshole well in this series.
And Rick’s badassery begins.
