    If I pair the R2-S65 with R2-S652, would the R2-A60F amp be enough to power them at 100w RMS? Or do I need a different amp?
    Also, for the same speaker setup, if I were to use the PXE-C80-88 sound processor w/amp, be enough to fully power them?

    Ok this sounds good. Not to take anything away from the R series speakers but what happened to the X type speakers. I went to my dealer and they said you discontinued the X series and talked about the new status series. I really liked the X series products. Why are the X type line discontinued??

    • @AlpineTV

      Our Alpine Status line has replaced our X-Series line as our high-end, premium sound products.

      They just made the R series the same price as the old X series, and ask ridiculous amounts for the status line

    Was looking at the R2-65C at the local shop. The specs say 65-40Khz. Noticed they went alot lower than 65hz on a R2-A60F. Is it safe to run them lower than the specified 65hz as long as its not clipping? They sounded good with decent bass and Im looking to add a little bass without a sub.

      @@ah4800he’s referring to how low the new mid range 6x5’s can go. They can probably go down to 40Hz, but it wasn’t designed to push low end like a subwoofer was.

      @IceColdTruth sure but you should have a crossover point of around 80hz

    Why did you guys go back to ferrite magnets instead of neodymium magnets for the motor?

    • @IceColdTruth
      @IceColdTruth Год назад

      The internet has it wrong about neodymium. There’s a reason subwoofers utilize Ferrite magnets. It’s because they can handle the WATTS.

    I bought a pair of the r265 and like another person said, i have connected them to a focal fpx 4.800 amp and when I turn volume up to 3/4 the amp goes into protection and it never used to do that with the other hertz speakers that i have connected which are the same power rating. I don't have a oscilloscope but I used a multimeter and set amplifier to 19v so any help would be great.

      Thats not how you set gains.
      Also has nothing to do with speakers, they are 4 ohm, that should be easy for that amp.

      @@thrill2310 not as of yet, im looking at a high end brand as well. Audiofrog is the name. I heard these at a local big name retailer in the Chicagoland area, they sounded pretty good. The Sony ES line was a bit crisper than the alpine. The tiger priced audiofrog was best. So, currently I am in planning. The 23 Tacoma doesn't have OEM integration tested as of yet as I want to keep my factory HU and not want the extra cost to replace.
