I live in saudi arabia and have this car. Quite possibly the best car I’ve ever experienced throughout my life and it doesn’t break. It just passed 340,000 km and now it’s in the shops and i quite miss it. Truly a masterpiece.

@@koruptedwolf6579 Love it. It does have its stupid small hiccups every now and then, yet again that’s how it goes with VWs. Other than that, I’ve been extremely happy with the car. Almost 80,000 miles. It’s been driven a lot and has done the job without too much complaint. VW did a great job with that car. I didn’t care too much about it until I test drove the 1.8T. Fell madly in love with it.
Also, I don’t recommend putting aftermarket wheels unless you wanna deal with getting them balanced correctly. It’ll be a long journey. Stick to factory wheels if you can.
I got T-boned in my 2012 Mazda 3 a few days ago, and I’m fairly certain it’s totaled. I think I’m going to try and pick one of these up as a replacement. This is an incredible car for 2013, and for its current price.
@@luv_ryan99 To this day I wish I could’ve found one. I had to buy a car at a point when the used car market was absolutely terrible in my area, and I could only find poorly-maintained diesels. I finally found one 2.5 SEL, I think, but someone had already put money down on it and they wouldn’t even let me sit in it. I got a 2016 Accord V6 instead. Definitely both faster and more reliable, but it’s missing some soul, and it isn’t as comfortable.
For anybody who thinks the 3rd gear is weird, the torque converter locks up when warmed up and shifts into 3rd. That explains the pause and exaggerated rpm difference.
I couldn't afford the SE model, so I have the S model with the Appearance package and it having the same 2.5L V5 engine, it definitely has a very responsive but comfortable quiet ride. I'm still very impressed with it after all these years. :) I read somewhere that VW owned Lamborghini during this time and decided to take the V10 out of the Gallardo and use 5 cyclinders in the Jetta and 5 cylinders in the Passat which explains the excellent performance response from this 5 cylinder engine.
I have this car, amazing vehicle I always get compliments on it, but be warned things break fairly simply on it as a lot of the interior components are plastic

As much as I want to disagree with your statement about not buying them you’re not entirely wrong. I don’t fully agree with the whole “only VW fanboys buy them,” but usually yeah going to get one is a hassle. Is it like every VW dealerships mission to make it as hard as possible to buy one? lol
If you want to review my 2006 Jetta 2.5 just ask. Has the same engine and transmission but is lighter in weight. Also its a special OEM color that I personally never seen on any other Jetta.
They're still on the road, they've just been reprogrammed to emit less pollution. I own one as a daily driver and I wouldn't trade it in for nothing! I only wish VW still sold diesels in America.
You should do a POV test drive on a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe AWD mid-size SUV with the 3.5 L V6 engine, 276 horsepower and the six-speed automatic transmission with manual-shift capability next. They are excellent vehicles in the used Korean market right now.

how is it with reliability and maintaining cost especially in saudi / UAE where I live, is the parts expensive / cheap / available and so?
