Heroes what?
I can't love the sneaky submarines. Just killer machines. So much innocent sailors lost their lives R.I.P.
I wonder how many of those men now lie in the lonely deep blackness of the sea: now silent skeletons with empty eye sockets and jaws agape, staring forever upwards towards the surface - all for the vanity of a despot!! R.I.P.
There are no skeletons at the bottom of the sea, they decompose.
@@ethanrumley8459 I know that. But during the war, they were there. You're concrete thinking is correct, but my post is what's called "poetic license" evoking emotive imagery. Get it? 👍
Dumbest questiin ever.
Heroes at the sea.
Human being cannot live together on a planet called EARTH,

Can anybody identify the escort ship guarding the convoy viewed through the periscope at 1:14, 1:49 and 1:53?
appears to be a town class destroyer
some submarine experts told me it was a german destroyer during some practice. Not a real combat footage but training the Kriegsmarine
imagine being these men, fighting to the bitter end knowing you wont be able to see your family or loved one's again and you are condemned to keep fighting even if it means death, My neighbor was a former uboat crew and he told me the horrors and times where his uboat he was on came close to death many times but they kept fighting but sadly he passed away this year
1:04 right, Erich Topp.
exactly its him.
Great video. Question: there was a video several years ago, very similar if not the exact same video, but the soundtrack was different. I’d like to use it, but can’t remember the artist or song title. I think the song was called Danger… or Paranoid? Anyone recall?
よくこんな事を命令したし命令された…
1:14 ¿destroyer and merchant?
Yes! overlapping !
Really feel for those liberty ship guys, they were huge targets that were cheaply made ships. So cheap they would split in half sometimes on their own, but America made so many of them the Germans had so few torpedoes to get all of them
well tbh u boat where kinda strong, and later in the war german ad some noice torpedo. Fat for example that where able to follow a specific patern, very usefull for convoy... ^^
accoustic torpedo for single targer where also something at that time.
@@Micropoint. U Boats were the only thing Churchill feared the most during the war. Makes sense considering he got most of his supplies from the United States
They were almost literal kamikaze boats. 80% lost.
kamikaze no, doing their job yeah.
Japanese where real kamikaze *...*

Curiosa la imagen del ultimo submarino, no se ve ninguna normalmente de ese tipo de sumergibles .
Greyhound vs greywolf u boat ww2.
It's a propaganda movie they didn't even show German side inside of u boats how hard they try
I would rather fight the russians then serve on one of those uboats
Then you haven’t researched the comparative data very well. Your chance of survival was probably greater on a U-Boat than on the Eastern Front.
you won't have a BITCH or any LAUNCHES
There is no honor following an evil leader, whether it is Hitler, Stalin, Mao, or Trump.
Most of these guy inside u boat... Where not okay when it come to hitler, but they ad a job to do and they did it...
And lot of these guys died you know that.

Freedom fighters by Thomas Bergersen
I tuned it out.
I’d like to know how much of that was real combat footage and not training/promotional footage.
The Bastards machine gunned survivors in lifeboats and in the water covered in heavy oil.
War=EVIL NO WAR= NO PAIN. WAR=CRAzy PEOPLE> NORMAL PEOPLE=normal live . remeber Never again WAR. ALL PEOPLE = ONE WORLD NORMAL people = live+LOVE NORMAL LOVE= NORMAL WORLD
I don't understand why Uboat who saved themselves eventually dismantled them. There was one in the hands of spain, at 26 thousand euros. Instead the British went to retrieve a wreck (the 4 surviving specimen) on the ocean floor, mad.
They probably had money to waste
What's the u-boot... is more u-boots than 1 be in this video, last u-boot in video is U-2613... but What's the First?
