Warren Storm 1937-2021

Rest in Peace to the Godfather of Swamp Pop, Warren "Storm" Schexnider (1937-2021).
A visit with Warren was full of tales of long nights in youth centers, dance halls, and nightclubs, recording sessions past and present, world travels, and memorable gigs where he shared the stage with both famous and unknown talents. Each story full of laughs, at least one line sung from a song, and genuine affection for many of his family, fans, and friends. He was one of a kind.

Met Warren down in Louisiana. I’m from the Saint Louis area down there working as a painting contractor. Painted the building he lived in at the arts complex. Had to paint his door and leave it open. I noticed some musical instruments in his living room and asked him about it we talked for about 2 hours about him touring with Elvis Jerry lee and many others. Even said something like his daughter was looking for a good looking cat like myself lol. Signed a autograph that I have hanging. Rip to one great soul. Heaven gained a true genuine human being!!!!!
