There really should be a second Flushing Line train. I I'm fine with it being the 11 but it should be express and expand past Flushing-Main Street to Little Neck.
When did they do this 7:15 cuz everytime I was on an r143 on the J train I wondered why didn't they have a strip map if they use the train so much and now its there
The R-143 cars have fixed route signs that are appropriate for only one line, like the L. The R-179 cars have FIND (Flexible INformation Display) signs, making the train able to reroute to a different line in case of changes in train service. Also, there are fewer R-143 cars than the R-179 cars.
The R143 is a 4 car set the R143 is not a 5 car set because the F and Q run 5 car set trains 5+5 so they run 10 car trains the J/L/Z/M use 4 car sets 4+4 is 8 not 10 also the R179 can’t run on the M cuz the R179 is not equipped with CBTC

Of course the old trains are definitely scraped like the R16s R17 R10s R15S R21/22s R14/12s R26s . The 15 12 13 11 9 10 12 8 higher numbers are definitely not scraped. That shows you prouth right there that they had those higher numbers that used to run on the iND and the BMT lines back in the 50s and the 60s. The extra elevated lines may be long gone. However the 8 9 10 15 trains is definitely in the system today.

The 8 used to run on the Thrid Avenue Elevated line before they torn down in 1973. If they wouldn't never tair down the old 8 Third Ave Elevated line the R62AS would be running on the Thrid Avenue Elevated line to replace all the R12 R14s on that line.

There is signage for the 10 and even 11 train it is purple like the 7 on all the R-62A on the 3 and 1 line.

R143s are CBTC-operated, you can let them stay on the only CBTC-operated line in the whole of the B Division lmao.
