Fishing for THE MEANEST BEST TASTING FISH in the TENNESSEE RIVER for DINNER !!

In this action pack fishing video I’m fishing with minnows / live bait to catch dinner. I’m fishing Guntersville Lake which is a part of the Tennessee River and the fish I’m trying to catch is a species of fish that’s extremely hard to locate and catch in the hot summer.

Great fishing on a rod find. I had the same problem in fishing. Go bass fishing and catch crappie. Go catfishing, catch hybrid bass. Go sauger fishing catch bass.

Many years ago in the fall I used to fish from the bank below cheat them down when they were generating. I used to white plastic grub on an unpainted jig head and used to love catching the sauger. They were fun to catch because they would jump some. They were pretty fish and for me they were easiest to clean.

Love catching sauger, use a medium deep runner Wiggle Wart, come up 10 inches put a white curly tail take red head and you can come up another 10-12 inches

On my last comment’s I meant to mention that as you well know sauger are bottom feeders and a lot of people not knowing their fish are afraid of them or don’t know much about them will throw them back in and “yes” your right their gill plates is like a razor blades, cut myself many times on those plate’s, just my opinion they’re the best fish too eat by far, thank you Rocky for putting up with my comments

Grew up in East TN on Watts Bar and never even saw a sauger. We'd go to Center Hill and catch walleye and man are those yummy, better than crappie even. Kind of surprised you through that channel cat back. I'd have friend him up with the sauger.

I was trolling on Old Hickory and caught a brand new rod and reel. Three years later I was on same creek 50 ft from where i found the pole and it fell back in water.

i use to troll for them in mouths of creeks with crank baits. It would be 95 and when they started generating sauger and walleye would turn on.
