- When Ed (IG: @edbolian) thought he could buy a lemon lawed Superleggera, he sold his ex-prostitute Gallardo. Unfortunately the SL got too expensive and he was left without a car. Good news, there was a Cayenne that had been in a flood laying around the dealership.

The fact that, “the prostitute Lambo” is a normalcy and so known is within itself hilarious.
"I was daily driving the prostitute Gallardo" is a line that will go down in RUclips infamy.
you're annoying dude stop advertising your channel
*Prostitute gallardo
Welcome To The Madness
Kimmi, do you have Butt Implants?
"This thing smelled like the basement of a water treatment plant in Detroit and was about half as safe to be in."
Ed has a way with words.
His masterpiece in describing cars was the Chicken Coop Porsche on Car Trek.
I love this car buying mentality "none of them were quite rough enough"
means they weren't cheap enough
... not shrewdly enough negotiated yet.
this is how i buy all my jeeps the more hopeless they are the more hopeful i am...
Jesus the way you transitioned to autotempest was smooth like jazz... It had me rolling
Ed + RCR + tavarish would be perfect, great mix of personalities
“I bid 91 thousand dollars”...” and I was in a pickle because I was without something to drive” 😂😂😂
Ed needs to be 1 of 3 presenters on a new type of top gear.
That would be fun
@@EdBolian I think between you, Rabbit, and Tyler Hoover from Hoovies garage that it would make for the most hilarious/interesting show! The level of whitty banter would reach supernova. Lol

So where is the petition to make this happen
Hey, Ed. The car wasn't that much of a loss for the dealership. Having it around meant that the dealership employees weren't driving around (and risking) the inventory. All it had to do was look nice enough to represent the dealership (so long as no one but dealership employees rode in it) and be safe enough for the dealership to use it for errands.
BTW, Flood cars are also biohazard issues. First things to overflow are rivers and sewers. THen there's the algal and bacterial growth from stale, standing, muddy waters.
Happy Wednesday everyone! Good luck with your crazy car searches.
Do Lamborghini employees get discounts?
When a car like that Superleggera pops up that the dealership has access to but wouldn't want, then yes. I got to buy them for whatever they paid for them.
@@EdBolian Question for you, in your opinion, if your dream car is a twin turbo manual Gallardo, would it be wisest to search for one that is already built, so long as it is by a reputable shop?
@@Gearbhall financially, absolutely. A $100k TT kit would increase the value of a car less than $25k.
Another great Ed story... basement of a wastewater treatment facility in Detroit huh??...unique comparison....
Daily driven Gallardo? goals.
Great goal
@@EdBolian indeed. I see someone who daily's their Gallardo
Gearbhall ok
"Bidding against the refrigerator" - added to the list of Ed-isms I haven't heard before 😄
In England we would bid against a fire extinguisher ):
Can't work out what he meant by that ... Then again I've never been in an auction so
You mean Edioms
Bruce Charlie I guess he means shill bidding, fake bids from the seller himself (or rather some accomplice) to drive the price up
Bidding against the soda machine.
You being a Georgia Tech guy, I bet that line about a 4th Quarter Alabama game felt pretty good to say.... LOL
It has been satisfying at times
Ed is such an excellent story teller
You are too kind. Thank you.
Ed Bolian: the best story teller of our generation. Keep the stories coming 🙌👍
I can see why he was a top sales man for exotic cars, Ed tells stories in a most enjoyable way.
Gotta love flood cars........ Oh the memories of pushing scratch and dent (salvage title) cars. Some of them are really great cars some or well the ones you see on Dateline and 20/20 specials. lol Great vid Ed.
Bearded Ed > Clean Shaven Ed boy
Nice Ed, Edd, and Eddie reference.
Vintage Ed driving footage Ayyyyyyyyyyye
Today my Montana T-shirt and the For the record book arrived on the mail, can't be happier!!
An Ed vid? Today's gonna be a good day.
Have a great day!
Every Wednesday!
I love how he legitimately calls it “the prostitute gallardo” hahahah Ed is the best.
While I couldn’t afford a Cayenne, I got my wife the VW Touareg with chocolate leather and while it’s the same platform, it’s a VW but holy hell, I love that thing. Absolutely comfortable and gorgeous inside. The downside is paying 1700 bucks for tires, for it.
We went back and forth and ended up buying a 5 year old Cayenne for about the same price as a 3 year old Touareg. Really enjoyed it.
The Touareg is such a good car. It’s highly underrated, and the V8 model sounds incredible. They’re also pretty awesome offroad and have a really nice interior for a VW. like a phaeton SUV.
Tyler Beeson as luck would have it, my wife has a corporate car with her new job so, I’m kinda debating turning it to something better than stock. Tell ya what, that Touareg is solid at high speeds cus I’ve had it up to 135 and it just feels so solid and cruises the same at 135 as it does at 80. Super smooth and no vibration whatsoever. Only time I’ve felt that comfortable in a vehicle at speed was when I was stationed in Germany and drive the Bahn in my A4.
I have a V8 with the chocolate leather as well. Just wait until one of the flex pipes go out! Went to roughly 20 shops and all of them refused to work on it. Dealer quoted 2 grand (though there are a bunch of people on the forums that got theirs done for a couple hundred). On the bright side, the car sounds amazing
It is an amazing car though. There are some pretty cool upgrades that you can do to them as well, such as factory push button start, oem Bluetooth and backup camera (all of which weren’t offered in North America but can be retrofitted). Though I hate having to replace all the buttons in the car because they’re peeling
the first sentence is how my father bought his first cobalt ss for less than half sticker price. the car had sat on the lot for almost 2 years
WookedoutLINK Yeah, you would think that would work, but car dealers are greedy. I offered $22,000 for a 2017 Fiat soon after the 2019’s came out. They had it listed at $21,000 (discounted from $29,000). I offered to buy it for the employee price($22,000) and the manufacturer would pay them the extra $7000 to make up for the MSRP difference. Now, I just offered them an extra $8,000, so I wanted a good trade-in value. Trade in blue book value was $10-12 thousand and they had similar vehicles for $15,000. I wanted $13,000. They wouldn’t budge from $6000 trade. I went back to that dealership 9 months later and it was sitting with the 2020’s with the faded $21,000 price still on it.
2:07 That lighting! I'm glad you met Matt
Well first I saw a rebuild video on a flooded Focus RS and now I see Ed sniffing up a flooded Cayenne
Nice
Last time I was this early, Eric was only on his 14th viewing of 50 Shades of Gray
I just love all your stories Ed!
1:20 Ed, your style has drastically improved from your younger days lol!
Thanks!
@Charlie Vetsworth ... while there are guys with MUCH less difference than Ed when it comes to designer stubbles or not ...
@@VINwiki It's all in the beard ;)
Really enjoy listening to you tell stories...
I’m obsessed with cars and car shows. You by far are the best story teller and most entertaining person I’ve ever watched. Keep up the good work.
Ive watched all 90 videos and love them all keep it up !
Thanks Ed, you just reminded me about a jankie 928 I used to own, looked great from across the car park, drove like crap everywhere, last seen being pushed down a boat ramp.
I love how Ed's beater is a Porsche Cayenne and I'm over here with my POS Subaru Impreza that's my pride and joy.
I lived in Easy Cobb for 2 years and would often see Ed, or at least the crew he ran with, in their cars and it always felt strange to park my banged up forester next to a Lamborghini. Anyway, Ed is a damn fine storyteller and I can imagine how bad ass of a salesman he is. Love em and keep them coming.
Ed, thanks to you (and the accident I was in this morning), the dream during my nap was that I had just gotten my car back from the body shop and while looking for a spot for the family to picnic, I drove my car into a diry, muddy ditch puddle. Twice. Then I got out and realized it wasn't even MY car. Even napping today, this hasn't been my day.
Ed is by far the best story teller on here. Every video he’s in I enjoy
I need to post my 05 Volkswagen Touareg stories on here !!!
Funny, I have the exact same car (same year) and it’s been a nightmare. Was wrecked when I got it but I’ve dumped too much money into it to get rid of it
Lol... I like Ed style lol I cant stop laughing he said parking this Porsche Cayenne 100 feet away before you know its piece of crap.
Must be rough driving a Porsche around looking for a car with a $70k+ down payment... God.... You might need a therapist for this dude, for real.
Love these stories
Right out of high school I got a 1965 Dodge Dart for $500. Almost everything you said about the chayanne sounded like you were describing that old Dart, except the warning lights, there are none on the old cars.
I love when he says "he now has nothing to drive" like this dude probably has enough in his wallet to go out and buy 3 fully loaded Civics straight off the factory line if you can just casually daily around a supercar.
Happy holidays to vinwiki 🥃🥃🥃🥃🔥🔥🔥
I got to test drive a Cayenne last week at work as a Mechanic Apprentice so to stumble across this video today was quite fitting haha.
The value of the "Prostitute Lambo" has just Jumped up in Value! Now that EVERYONE knows Ed owned it!
“He said it smelled like the basement at water treatment plant in Detroit” 😳😩😂😂😂
Happy New Years Ed ;)
Then the condom broke
“Vinwiki music starts playing”
That Alabama line aged like fine wine. I love it.
I like to call those cars that you were talking about "20/20 cars" because from 20 feet at 20 miles an hour, they look great!
The description of the driving characteristics of the cayenne reminded me of every car i owned before i turned 25.
Those night still shots are beautiful!!
Ed Bolands stories are ALWAYS epic.
While it wasn't a cool car by any means, my first car has some of the best bad stories. 88 Civic hatchback that I wrecked, then repaired with parts that were the wrong color, water leaked ruining the carpet, puting cigarettes out on the floor because we had removed the carpet, driving it off-road being lifted Toyotas (never got stuck), autocrossing it, driving it through 3 floods, trying to modify it on a budget after fast and the furious came out, heat only worked when stopped at a red light, no a/c. Man, what a car for 2 years of basically demolition derby fun.
Beater cars can certainly be some of the most fun cars. I had a horrid example of a Crown Vic that I was flipping recently, and the utter lack of care that I could treat it with was truly enjoyable.
What a gift from vin wiki to come out on my birthday thank you lord ed
"Most of the time, I drove the Lamborghini." Man, I love this channel.
I love the auto tempest plug in the middle of the story lol
I must be in the wrong business. My previous car was a '99 Chrysler 300M with a 3.5L V6. I paid $2,700 for it and drove it for five years. I really enjoyed that car. Before that I was in a '97 Dodge Neon that I paid $600 for. But even if I couldn't afford a down payment on the stuff he's talking about, Ed's a great storyteller! LOL
This guy Ed seems like a cool fella.
There is something hypnotic about this man’s voice.
And Ed...Crashed the entire housing market became of his shrewd skills in the hyper exotic car market! I am little bit county...
All the stories about shitboxes are the best! This, the Saturn, and the pills van are my favorite
I have interesting times in my Volvo wagon. It's got no brakes so sometimes I have to rip the e brake and lock up the back tires.
This guy is a good story teller
This is why you don't sell your cars before you win a online bid.
And how do you know what the basement of a water treatment plant in Detroit smells like...?! :)
Of course this is an Ed story.
Your Cayenne story sounds a lot like my current DD. E90 328i. Dashboard looks like a Christmas tree
This guys life is tough. I feel for you bud. Stay strong
'A really bad example of a really great car.'
*Looks at self in mirror*
Ahhhh that's why I was born this way
90s GMC Yukon 2 door. Little cousin put it in reverse on a boat ramp, and dipped it into a lake. Boat smashed a hole through the rear glass. I got to drive it for 2 weeks while my vehicle was in the shop for a repair I could barely afford. Grandma handed me the keys, and off I went. Had a ridiculously loud exhaust you could hear for mile, and I loved hammering it everywhere. Brakes were spongey, and it had a hesitation when giving it throttle from idle. Good good times.
This is why my Dealer insurance policy says "Salvage title vehicles excluded from coverage". :)
I am a new sub,love the stories!!!
Thanks!
Take a shot every time Ed says "Ya know" 🍻
Friend of mine bought a 760i (I know lol) thing ran great sometimes and always if it was wide open lbvs. 60k miles pos think got for 3k at auction in Chicago anyways was a blast! Put new fuel regs on it an now it sits lol again 760i lol.
Love it lol iv had a ton of fun cars that were death traps to drive around but got me everywhere
I have a white Cayenne that looks exactly like that one and I love it!
I still see some 30 mile 2018 Maserati GranTurismos with 340 days on the lot and only 35K off asking but I'm sure there is more room behind it.
The video of that Porsche flooding is in RUclips
280,000 mile e66 760LI pre facelift. grey on grey . our boss allowed us to get lunch in that thing . used more oil and water than gas xD
mplewp damn. 280k on the V12? Someone spent major money keeping that thing on the road.
@@BeesonsCars #very very old rich guy :P
“Bidding against a refrigerator”....hahahaha
Is that a term for a certain type of person??
Hey, Detroit has some of the cleanest water! 😂😂
Ed just made me want a Porsche Cayenne with a certificate of destruction title from flood damage 😂 great story as always
Maybe we can find one with new tires and brakes
Damn that Alabama football reference hits hard. Probably hurts Ed to a degree too if he's a Georgia Bulldog fan haha. Two years in a row man. Two years!
Edit: Saw the plate on the Cayenne lol
Just missed out on an absolute bargain, a guy I knew through a friend was selling it. Asked him a day late, as he’d given to a dealer for an absolute steal. So gutted right now! Worst feeling
What was it?
That's how it was with this rare Saturn I bought for $500. One of 250 made SC2 White Hot, 2-door, not a 3-door. Went down the road great. Awesome car. Loan it to anyone, not worry about it kind of car. Eventually sold it for $2000.
good morning ed
Good morning
Holy shit you got a response
I bought a 1984 Alfa Romeo Spider for $3000. It's rough enough that I don't stress too much over paint chips, and have even used it as a commuter in the snow. Never had so much fun running errands. Easy on gas and definitely an uncommon sight on the roads.
If you're on the fence about getting an Alfa, I suggest you start by looking into the Series 3 Spider. I see why they are considered the gateway drug to Alfas... they're not the prettiest (so you start looking for older models) but they are reliable enough to last a while until something else breaks.
I bet you anything that where I live (Bulgaria) this Cayenne will fetch $8000-$10000 with all these problems
@Marian Marinov мани мани, миналата година отидох при едни момчета в Торино които се занимават с внос на коли за у нас - още ми се плаче.
I would love to work at an exotic car dealership, but there pretty much aren't any in new Hampshire
2:18 Rolltide 🇺🇸😂🤷♂️
I wanna hear Ed's stories before bed
"The last quarter of an Alabama football game, you know how It's gonna end but you don't know how impressive it's gonna be", a true testament to the powerhouse that is the SEC...
I’m just glad to see ED could finally afford proper shirts that fit him correctly after a few years not those super baggy shirts 😂
I love the way this guy talks.
Those oak trees at your house (with the lambo and cayenne) I’m sure we’re so pretty every autumn.
a few holes in the throttle plate might have helped the idling problem. when all the fancy F's off, good times.
Man must be nice to be able to not only afford a lambo but also the money to daily one
My dad asked an insurance appraiser why they destroy so many flood cars. The guy said "because we don't want to marry it." Flood cars are so often bad news apparently they just don't fool with them.
I wonder where the flood Cayenne is now?
I couldn't find the VIN. Not sure.
@@EdBolian given it's issues and low value, must either be in pieces now or crushed? shame as it probably could have been fixed with a lot of TLC, but you'd have to be crazy to plow a lot of money into a car like that
