so lovely to see traditional handicrafts going strong....what a lovely festival with so many traders I never knew existed...hope that canal restoration gets plenty of money to complete it...
Really great to see all those artisan businesses and real people who are genuinely just lovely. So simple, so very refreshing and well......brilliant. Hats off also to the tireless efforts of the various trusts and organisations raising funds, restoring canals and bringing back to life our heritage. The task is immense and all involved should be very, very proud of what they do and are achieving. Thank you.
I am so jealous ,I love arts and craft shows. I did then as a decorative and oil painter years ago. Now I am confined to bed and I only get to go with vloggers . Thank you...
Fran showing her potential as a TV host! You did so great here Fran. And it was good of you guys to provide on screen information for everyone you spoke to. Well done on a great video, as always. Greetings from Australia!
It's such a pleasure and a treat to follow your vlogs from "the other side of the pond"... always a new adventure, exploring your beautiful countryside is an absolute joy to watch. Thank you so much...❤
Awww Fran your a natural talented interviewer……. What a fantastic and very interesting vlog and so many talented artisans. Nice to know so many canal restorations are happening.!! X
That was soooo lovely to see .....thank you for sharing.......loved the wool........I am teaching my self to quilt......so my live would be cotton fabric xxxx
Just a totally delightful program. thank you, thank you, you have allowed me to escape from the depression of watching what's happening in Eastern Europe.
You filmed it, way to go! Was so hoping you would, and what a fab job, well done. Very much appreciated by the landlubber here. So interesting all the people Fran talked to. Such a nice community among the boaters. Thanks so much! 😁
You were so nice to give exposure to so many craft people and didn't show off our own beautiful work. That was very generous of you, Fran. Those people have to spend so much time on creating their wares. No water grows under their feet. Best to you, Jane, Philadelphia
So many fabulous goodies to see, hold, taste, touch, feel an sample... where's the Gin Fran? Thanks for taking us with you, appreciate the walk. Wish we were there 😊❤️
Thank you both for satisfying my FOMO.. hated to miss the Norbury festival but when the Caribbean calls it’d be rude not to go. Glad you like my soap and you made Nici’s day buying yarn from her. Hope to meet you one day.
Thank you, Rich and Fran, for that interesting Vlog on the Norbury Boat Festival. It does my heart a world of good to see all those artists and artisans plying their wares. I of course love all things narrowboats' but the festival proves that talented people live and work on the canal. I hope Jess has recovered from her tiredness and she is running around like usual. All the best. 🧡 Stephen.
Thank you so very much for visiting Norbury Junction..the festival is fantastic. Norbury is where my then fiance (now my late husband) introduced me to his narrowboat, such wonderful memories.. Your vlog was fantastic..
Lovely video. Really enjoyed seeing the wares of all the artisans. So much variety - I could get in real trouble there! Can't wait to see what you do with all your new yarn Fran!
Thank you both, how good to hear from the traders, and the canal restoration projects. So positive and up beat. Poor Jess sorry to hear she is a bit poorly. Take care. xx
I love going to markets like that. We’re going to one this afternoon. Not on a canal, but a Farmers Market, with crafts as well. The Nanaimo Farmers Market, on Vancouver Island. I’ll be aiming for the canals the next time, I’m in the UK. Play carefully, & smile often!
Love seeing all those Crafters in their element .... Never realised those Boat Festivals could be so interesting .... We have a couple in our area, Henley and Reading, but never been to either .... Must put that RIGHT!! :-)
Looks.like a good time was had by all. The Monty is such a beautiful canal and have the pleasure of living less than 5 mins drive from Maesbury wharf. So the Monty is a regular place to take the dog for a walk. The most scenic section lies beyond Measbury and into Wales, will be a while I fear before boats will be seen beyond crickheath. However, this does mean the wildlife thrives in these unnavigable sections. If you ever in the area and need a lift to the shops, would be more than happy to oblige.
Omg what an absolutely amazing festival, I definitely will attend within the next couple of years, thank you so much for bringing it to our attention ❤️ and we really hope jess is ok , sending massive cuddles to her x take care guys x
What a fantastic day for the boat fair. So nice to see all the artisans and their wares. Thanks for taking me along ................. hope Jess is OK. Stay safe you 4.
Thanks so much for taking so long to Norbury Boat Festival! It’s fabulous to see crafters with a lovely location to display and sell their handmaid items and foods. The weather seems to have turned out fabulous for y’all for this walk and event. I do hope Jess is A-OK! Archie certainly looked like himself. See y’all next time!
That was just a fantastic vlog. We just love it when you talk to other people and share with us the different places that you visit. Rich, we caught your homage to Mark with your Right-Nice-Pint. Cheers.
Really enjoyable episode ! lots going on, and very interesting your chats with the people ...I have been watching this in bed( Sunday afternoon) as after returning from holiday in Tenerife picked up the old "Covid "so its lifted my spirits Thanks!
It was really like "Christmas morning for mature kids ".Your enjoyment was so apparent and wonderful to witness. A lovely vlog thank you so much for taking us along. Happy cruising take care. Cheers from Canada and me
“Can I go and hold your rudder?” You can’t take Fran anywhere! 😂 Loved this vlog as we went there on the Monday and spent more than expected. Fabulous day.
All that different coloured wool is representative of all those lovely colours of the seasons you become privy to seeing whilst living your life as a continuous cruiser on the canal network. Thank you for covering this side of canal life Fran and Rich. I was wondering, on your travels and at festivals like this, have you come across much Alpaca wool being sold? And have you used it yourself? Best wishes to you both.
I haven't seen alpaca wool at the festivals, but we have passed a couple of alpaca farms selling wool. Unfortunately they always seem to be closed when we are there. Such a shame as it is so soft and I love using it.
What fun. So many various vendors and so much to choose from. All you met were so nice and learned a lot about canal restoration. Thanks Fran and Rich.
I just loved that visit to the Festival, in all our years of boating we never managed to stop long enough to visit any, have cruised through them but was always just passing through at wrong time. I bet you wore your debit card out, bet get back to your loom Fran and get weaving with some of that wool. Fran, you make everything you are interested in come across so well on your vlogs and you make a very good interviewer. Well done Rich on some great footage. Bet you did not know where to start XX
Love getting to see all those artisans and learning how they choose where to get their supplies. Thank you for sharing! Looks like you two had so much fun!
Always nice to watch the second best looking couple on the cut, after the Well Deck Diaries. Since they are not continuous cruisers anymore, you are now the best looking couple on the cut (continuous cruisers division)
What a fabulous boat market and festival, so many talented people and great to see a kiwi mentioned with her dyed wool. 😀 our days are getting short and cooler so it's time to get out my sewing and crotchet for our New Zealand winter. Great video as always, thanks to you both.
I heard Fran say a big bag of wool but no mention of the gin! Did something go wrong? Someone in the UK won £184m on the lottery last Tuesday and we were just chatting about it today. If it had been us I believe we would have used it to support some useful projects, like the canal restoration work. That would have made us much happier than a big house or fancy cars. We would have kept some mind, maybe the 4 million! 😂😂
I am really happy to meet anyone who is wanting to enjoy the rest of their life without stress.I am totally solvent.
so lovely to see traditional handicrafts going strong....what a lovely festival with so many traders I never knew existed...hope that canal restoration gets plenty of money to complete it...
Oh the hand dyed yarn!!!! I'm so jelly!

Brilliant, always seem to be the opposite end of the country when a boat festival is on.
Good to see you enjoying a Ryte Nyce Pynt too🍺
Ha Ha! wish you had been there xx
Looks like a really nice day! Had fun following along, Cheers from BC Canada
Thank you both for satisfying my FOMO.. hated to miss the Norbury festival but when the Caribbean calls it’d be rude not to go. Glad you like my soap and you made Nici’s day buying yarn from her. Hope to meet you one day.
