This is like Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven having a jam session together. Just wild.
True.
Pretty much yes! Magnificent 👌
Has ejado ya el alcohol o sigues igual?
~Yes indeed all 3~Together was amazing talent
Naw our people beyond talented
It's so easy to think BB King's playing is very simplistic, and easy to do. But the less notes you play, the more each note needs to be done correctly, for the right duration, and right phrasing. Make no mistake, its extremely difficult to play so little notes, and sound so good. Literally zero margin for error. Such a legend.
B.B. King cannot play the guitar & sing at the sametime….that’s been documented for decades…..
The blues is a "simple" music style, but the real trick is in that magic finger-tip feeling that makes performances like these so expressive and captivating.
You are so right! You can try to play like BB for years and still NEVER get there...that old saying "less is best" is true but it's hard to master that concept!
Yup and B.B was combining the Major and Minor scales in the same key which is super hard to get right.
Agreed like david gilmour
The best thing about this video is James Brown fanboying with these 2 legends
BEST?
He’s was the baby of the bunch.
Nothing but respect
Holy shit yes.
Just amazing ❤
More talent on that stage than currently in the entire music business.
Amen to that
This comment will forever age well!
Absolutely!!!

You are so right!!!
I couldn’t stop smiling through this whole performance. Pure magic!

This was before my time but I knew how much I appreciated it. At 3:24, I was done after that.
That's call being grateful. I love it. So much message in this video. I hope we gt it. Dealing with life during this time of this video.
I can hardly believe my eyes; the amount of talent at one time on that stage.
I’ve been shaking my head at my phone screen since they started playing. I’m so glad to have come across this today!!

James is like a little kid in his respect and admiration for these musical greats!!!! This is wonderful!!!😊😊😊😊
Oh my goodness, my dad would have loved this. He would play the blues early in the morning as he got ready for work. I hated it as a kid. He's been gone over 30 years to be with the Lord, but how i wish i could go back in time to one of those mornings. 😢
Man I was thinking the same thing about my moms smh. Man she would loved this
My Uncle James would have loved this too!

Don’t know you but will say this… your father is still with you so you don’t ever have to look back. The good ones stay very close. Lost my father too. But he allows me to see him whenever I like! Them men were men! And know Gods plan. You gonna be alright! Blessings to you
wished I had recorded some of my great uncles that would be sitting around playing the guitar when we.had family gatherings back then
James Brown truly was loving his time with these two Blues Kings. This was just GREAT.
RIP legends.
If folks only knew how impactful this collaboration was back then. 3 of the best to ever do it.
Hello Nicole how are you doing today
@@andriakajic8255 then you clearly don’t know music. James broke barriers and made history he’s just as important and talented as they are

Hello 👋 what are great music bands
Let’s applaud DON CORNELIUS for orchestrating the moment.
@@OSIRIS1980WHS How are you doing today Hope you're having a great day?
Wow! I’ve never laid eyes on this performance before and I’m blown away! JB was in awe of these musical historians, and he had every right to be! Wow!
I saw this when it came out bc my brother has a Beta Recorder and he recorded this. And he STIILL has it . But I’m thankful for Soul On Top for giving everyone a chance to experience this. It’s a once in a lifetime performance! ❤

Born in 1984 from Moroccan parents immigrated to France, I grew up with great Black American music and Michael Jackson is my biggest inspiration. This performance is sooo great I can't control my goosebumps. So much talent, soul and beauty in their voices + B.B. King's playing. It left me speechless
🇺🇾Precisamente Jackson se inspiró en JB aunque muchos creen q su pasos son creación de el
@@Sempaijose123 If thats the case, why do Moroccan people hate on Black Americans so much yet love emulating black celebrities?
It’s always cool when you see a superstar melt in front of their idols. It really takes the bigger than life effect away and makes em human again.
Two legends teaching and loving like big brothers to Mr. JB. Look what they created!!!! We owe them men more than we could pay ever!
This is pure music history gold. Thank you all for doing this! So we can enjoy it so many years later!

The God Father praising his idols!!! What a special time when men stood their ground and appreciated their GOATS 🐐. Praise to JB!!! May they all RIP Rest in Power, Praise and Prosperity!!!
Yep, and James was known, at least by his band members, for having an over inflated ego...(watch the bio on him, or movie)...so yeah, it was kind of neat to see James set aside his ago while on stage with BB and Bland.
Man... James Brown had a VOICE.
For real! So did BB and Bobby!
Parece eu roncando 😅😅😅
priceless combination. Especially love James Brown's appreciation of these two blues masters, while he was an R&B master, deferring to them on the blues. Fun fun fun

@@marcusmobley3189 yea man. But it goes beyond our African descent. It’s something about us so-called African Americans in particular. Our lineage is “The Thing” that this World just can’t fuck with no matter what. I almost want to say it could be deeper than that fact that we are of African origin. We are different. There is just something about us that even we may not quite understand. I just wish we would collectively realize that we are touched by GOD although our trauma is evident & of course we’ve been adversely affected. We must refuse to accept what our enemy have indoctrinated many of us to believe about ourselves. We need to know that it’s all bullshit. & be bigger because we are them folks!!!

A taste of how they did it in the 40's and 50's. Love how Bobby included James Brown. Glad he did! Beautiful.
Yes I remember watching this when it first aired! This is a classic. It was good to see James Brown taking directions from other musicians of another genre. You don’t see that too often. But he did hold his own with them. But the funniest thing about this was when Bobby Bland told him to moan and then after each time he was going to mention some of James Brown song so he mentions papas got a brand new bag the first time, open up the door I’ll get it myself the second time, and then the third time he couldn’t think of any more songs so he said papas got a brand new bag again! 😂🤣. But I know James but I got the biggest kick out of when he started naming his songs.
Hey man, I love all 3 of these dudes. I have listened to BBs and Bland album together. They said in the video this appearance was prompted by Brown, BB & Bland making a record together... I'm dying to hear it but can't find any info on it. Do you remember what the album is called?
This is real talent they will never make good music like this no more 😢
James was in heaven on stage with them ❤❤❤ great to see all three men jamming with no ego! Just having fun…

Where has this been my whole life! Each performer at their best. You know I’m gonna be learning each BB riff - this was simply a golden period for him. Bobby Bland’s growl was awesome 😆 and James Brown killed it. Hey, do you notice how BB plays Lucille like he’s just talking? It’s not a guitar. It’s an extension of him. It’s a voice.
