You couldn’t make one mistake or you’d be out.
I'd have hated to have have worked for him, James was a perfectionist. I'd never have met his standards. Genius though, as you say, 'So tight and so funky. James' arrangements were outstanding'.
Bobby Byrd
Tightest shit I've ever seen!
It's true - he was the hardest working man in showbiz. Saw him in Miami Beach in 94 at Prince's club Glam Slam. He moved like that on stage for 3 hours+.
JAMES BROWN SUPERMAN, SUPERBAND & there is a SUPERWOMAN too. 😃
This man sung, danced, went a played the piano riff which was heavily sampled including the movie nothing but trouble. He composed the music and created an exclusive sound. He was a genius
I am convinced that funk was born when Bootsy laid into that opening bassline for Soul Power and Catfish, followed with those tight as hell guitar chords .. I can listen to that 20 secs of music forever. JB and BB were badasses.
James Brown is THE GOAT!!!
I”ve seen this video many times, An each time WOW I feel that PURE SOUL, pure dinamite, pure energy and look at the people!!! Wow what super star , thanks James Brown❤ wherever you are❤
I saw James Brown And The Famous Flames when I was 15 years old in 1965 in Harrisburg PA. I’ll never forget that night.
Let’s give it up for the sister dancing in the back, James, never disappoints, dame near all his songs was sampled in rap music he was definitely the god father of soul
When I was a small kid, my mom was the first one at the record store when the new James Brown single came out. This man and his band touched souls the world over.
I saw James Brown after he sobered up in the 90's. Most energy at a live show I've ever attended. Everyone was up dancing the whole show. Truly the hardest working man in show biz. The band was killer James still had the moves. Funk at its finest. RIP the Godfather of soil.
I didn't know he had a drug or drinking issue??
