we should do another one
Cosmo Sheldrake I second that✋
How has no one relized Cosmo Himself commented on this video?? It's just old, I guess
I third that 🤚
yes please!!!!
what is the percussion you used called ?
Please do, I love this song a lot
cosmo and merlin are the best names for your children
@@Schneckentokkel no
I wished I had a cool name like that-
That was gorgeous.
Oh, the falcon was a pretty bird
Wandered as she flew
She danced around and pranced around
Wherever the warm winds blew
And the falcon was a pretty bird
Her voice was always still
But men with drums and men with guns
They taught her how to kill
Her eye was on the sparrow
Her mind was on the dove
But no one cared and no one dared
To speak to her of love
Her eyes are always hooded
Her claws are sharp as steel
We teach her not to see too much
We teach her not to feel
Go build you a log cabin
On a mountain so high
And hear the feathered war-bird's yell
As she goes screaming by
She'll tease you
She'll please you
She'll satisfy your needs
But someday she might turn around
And maul the hand that feeds
Your hours might be numbered
Your end might come someday
Go break her chain and free her brain
And send her on her way
And the falcon is a pretty bird
Wonders as she flies
She asks us easy questions
We tell her easy lies

Cosmo should seriously bring in his brother Merlin in for his music, you both have beautiful voices and I seriously think Merlin is underrated.
@*JessDoritoWhale*,
Hear! HEAR!!! :)
Absolutely!
From a professional music and film perspective, Merlin also adds an advanced dimension of attractively stylish physical aesthetic with his apparent confident yet humble demeanour, personal fashion sense via his colour and design selections and combinations, and cute yet handsome dimples (please also screen their incomplete, experimental short film 'Merlin Drop'). All mentioned are *completely unnecessary additions* as Cosmo is very cute, commands enthralling attention and is *terrifically, impressively brilliant, all 'round,* however, Merlin's physical aesthetic and relaxed confidence *would be* an appreciated addition for the more sensual (or superficial) audience members when performing live or via video or film. :)
Also, touring can become gruelling and is at times lonely. Invaluably, they seem to be very fond, loving and trusting of each other. It seems Merlin is very busy with his academic and literary work and therefore perhaps he hasn't much interest in pursuing a professional music career on a grander scale (which, if so, is *completely understandable ;)* ).
...Please know this lengthy point was derived and delivered ONLY from a business perspective, in the case Cosmo may be interested in any and all ideas relating to *his skillfully and creatively earned, impending, vast commercial success.* xox
OakleyANDSittingBull IM WHEEZING AT THIS XD

I am so in love with the performance of this song.
+Chase Eagleson haha yea man :) how good is this cover?
that takes real courage these days to perform acapella. so kudos to you, I liked it.
That voice is unreal.
This is absolutely bloody brilliant. Makes me feel like I'm in another time
Bones. Interesting instrument...
My life's greatest find. I have never connected more to any other artist in my life. There isn't a cover nor creation of Cosmo Sheldrake's that I don't love. It's rare to find that. Thank you for what you and Merlin do!
I’m working on new music…
Until then follow me on Instagram and Spotify for music and tour date news.

Everyone support our Lord!
I love Cosmo's silvery and warm timbre in his voice! That's the only way I can describe it, silvery and warm, and it's the warmest baritone voice I've heard!
Everybody is talking about how much they love this song, but I haven't heard anyone discussing the meaning. I've read through the lyrics and I see it as the falcon being a woman in today's society. She's pretty and she does what she's told, but she wants more and she has her own thoughts. They're saying that, while she might be doing as society wants right now, there's going to come a day when she won't want to and she'll "maul the hand that feeds". He's saying that we should "break her chains and free her brain" instead of keeping her in that state of giving her easy lies to her easy questions. Let her be free and have her own thoughts.
you said the same on original
I’ve heard (which is supported by the time frame and the fact the Fariñas were outspokenly against the War) that the song is also a form of allegory about the fate of the young men who were conscripted to fight in the Vietnam War. The boys were often only a few years out of school, and were forced from their home and trained to all of a few months, then shipped far, far away into a useless, futile conflict. IF they survived, they were met with nothing but hostility, and had very few support getting back into civilian life. Many of them were disabled and heavily traumatized
That is to say, it had a dual meaning, both in the anti-war movement and in second wave feminism
I’m having one of those moments where the music is so beautiful my heart is fluttering and my chest is hyperventilating and I just shiver all over as it sings to my very soul. ❤️❤️❤️
Powerful. Dramatic. Haunting. Please do more, Cosmo! Somehow I'm torn on if I like the melodic tunes you've made or just your raw voice! I wish I could heart react this song!
The names of the brothers are too awesome :O Their parents have good naming sense :D
Father Rupert Sheldrake, biologist. Merlin is gaining a lot of attention as a mycologist. Phenomenal family!
I absolutely love cosmo, kind of upset I've only seen this now
Simply perfect. Beautiful.
Merlin published a book about fungi last year and I love that energy
I love this! I've played it often over the past decade.
Tears in my eyes this song took me someplace
This is so stunning I cannot believe it.
Really cool and a different sort of act for Mahogany. Great harmonies
It's been years and I'm listening this every day
I feel that this song fits Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow) really well.
LAZEKAGE I feel like it fits even more after seeing End Game.
The only word for this is delightful....like I can't stop giggling while I watch haha
This is raw talent I am so in love with this
I would sooo totally love to see them sing Last UnicornAmerica that would be sooo cool
This is my favorite one so far. Holy crap.
Thanks for new singers Mahogany, you are make my life better
There is something deep and unfathomable in this music. Like a wormhole to the past opened up
this is chamber music at it's finest. all three of them are superb to have this type of sound with only 3 people.
Cosmo

One of my long time favorite artists and youtube channels. AMAZING!
Divine.

COSMO SHELDRAKE

HER voice is angelic.. She makes this cover.
Really? I thought she was a jarring voice in an otherwise nice cover.
What a tune! Good one guys.

I wish this was on Apple Music 😭
Had me at the first note. Beautiful! Thank you = )
This is so beautiful!
I was a lucky sod and got to see him live whilst him and his brother played this with bones. It was beautiful
Merlin's book is on my reading list.
This is really amazing
Lovely! Have just heard this on the radiio with Sam Lee and birdsong, the nightingale I think. Sublime!
I've found this on Tumbrl. I totally fell in love with it. Such a masterpiece.
this is dope
the way i forget these are acapella 😍
Qué hermosa canción🥺
Estas tiel bonega. Vivas Mimi kaj Richard! Watersons ankoraŭ ne estas forgesita, ĉu ne? Mi certe ĝojos aŭskulti pli da tia muziko de vi.
Big crowded gangs failed to make feel us good with that shoes and cloths brand's lyrics but this simple old Town type lyrics are the most heard by time i think.
A respectful and beautiful version of The Falcon, composed by Richard Farina and recorded originally by the amazing Mimi and Richard Farina. The Falcon appeared on Mimi and Richard’s premiere album, Celebrations for a Grey Day, a veritable tour de force as with their second album, Reflections in a Crystal Wind.
hes one chanting story that i cant stop reading.
one of my most favorite songs, bravo , thank you
I apologize for my ignorance, but how the hell are they playing those sticks? lol
I was wondering the same thing.
haha ikr
The brother in the background is playing some kind of handheld percussion, i think cosmo is just holding those sticks and moving his hands to the beats but i was confused at first too
I think the brothers are both playing the sticks like the old bluegrass spoons, but are tapping on different beats in order to make the more intricate military style drumming. I'm not sure though, and would love some explanation, lol. Brilliant performance though.
The "sticks" are bones….look up how to play the bones here on youtube……..
This is wonderful, cant find it on spotify though. And the dude at the bottom of the stairs totally looks like Nick Kroll in character or something
When music collage-students are waiting in front of lecture hall :D
Can’t find it on iTunes. Shame, cus I love this cover.
This version reminds me of the Throne of Glass saga
his brother is named merlin :D I instantly fangurled
Smol- Cinnabon hi smol
He has the same name as me! ☺
I have a strange feeling that this song is about children witnessing war.
Im still watching •_•
Anyone having an idea where I could get the sheets of this beautiful song from? would love to sing it, too. Thanks for this beautiful music cosmi, merlin and mel (?) THANK YOU!
Did you find it? I'm looking for that lower harmony....

lovely song personally think it would sound better without her.
+sherbsworth Cosmo´s voice is fantastic... yes, however, she brings in some nice contrast.
+sherbsworth that's kinda mean
i think it sounds wonderful with all of them (:
