Apparently the episode was filmed before the Olympics and since they aired on the same network, they just dubbed it in later. Liz is just saying blah blah blah 😂

Yeah it’s a visual/audio gag. The episode was filmed prior to the olympics but since 30 Rock is based on meta humor about what’s happening at NBC, they knew NBC was airing the olympics and planned for this ep to be when after the olympics (there was an extended winter break for NBC’s programming block due to the Olympic coverage) but obviously not the outcomes when this ep filmed in the summer before the olympics. So they’re winking at the fact that this fictional comedy thats supposed to be taking place in real time during the year due to it referencing current events was filmed prior and they’re dubbing it in months later in post production
