This process....will destroy....the non stick coating of the hard anodised surface......nd scraping with a metal spatula with a steel wool will make it worse....instead soak the tawa in hot water for about 10 mins and then gently using a non abrasive scrubber...scrub it with vim liquid....works fine for me.....nd i use the tawa almost everyday
yaa, i was just thinking about it.. Thank you fro actually commenting that here.. using the softer side of a scrotch brite will be safer i guess. i hope it will clean the mess my pan has got coz of melted jaggery...

i just today bought hard anodized cookware, it came with paper that said to not scrape or clean like that, to use gentle sponge, otherwise if surface is scraped, it won't just get damaged, the material inside will slowly mix with food, which is toxic.
