You probably have to upgrade the firmware. They have an app on Google Play. I don't recall what it's called, but I used the app to upgrade the firmware on another iPega model.

I have been using this for a few months and...i would not recommend it but purely because of that damn D pad

Looks like it's too fragile.Sounds like a 99 cents store product.
But honestly this pad was great for hardcore gaming.
I broke my old ipega by accident long story but they are tough.
