      in a nutshell:
„thanks a lot, I am very happy to be here and honored to play for you. I’ll play some songs and then we can talk. The first song is called Mathew Garrison and I use it for warm up. The title is because he playes bass on the track, simply, he is a good friend of mine and we play often together. It is from my latest album.
I started to use the china on the left at the age of 10-11. Because i used to be left handed till 6-7. In comparison 60% (right hand)-40% (left hand). So I do a lot of open handed playing. The china is on the left so i play it with my left hand. Back in the day it was very boring, that the china was the last cymbal on the right side and so the last sound of the fill. And I like to use my left hand and keep it in condition for ride on the china, like this (starts playing)
I always praciteced the same way in my entire life. Never used a click or music for practice. Always improvisation. And if something new came up I never stopped, i continued the period (groove) and tried it over and over. (starts playing) Now i liked to play a lot with my right leg, so i start to continue this direction.(starts to play, lot of bass drum with right leg). Then brought the beat to the hihat (what he played on the bass) Then variation with ghost notes on the snare…then paradidle…then bass drum again…now shuffle, but still in the period…and so i start to build up the system"
