- Shadowlands 9.2.5 Holy Paladin mythic+ guide to make you show people tha the healer's are the ones carrying. Holy Priest is currently the most powerful healer in the Mythic Plus meta and there's a good reason. Holy Priest can deal extreme amounts of damage and whip out seemingly unlimited healing throughput at a moment's notice. Don't let that fool you though, this guide might make Holy seem easy but there is a lot master but it's up to you to find it yourself. Best of luck!

You might be seeing a lot of Holy Priests in Season 4 running Night Fae instead of Kyrian. This is really only applicable to pushing higher keys, Kyrian still beats it in just unplanned, random pugs. Night Fae gives classes CDR, which is nice because we all lost Urh relic, so when playing a night fae holy priest be ready to have a conversation with your group about which DPS gets Power Infusion, and then which DPS gets the Benevolent Fairies. Or which 2 dps you have to juggle benevolent fairies between.
TL;DR I still recommend Kyrian in season 4, if you're incredibly scared or pushing keys super high for a certain dungeon you can run night fae but be prepared for lots of social interaction amongst the team mid-key.
Hmmm, for pugs NF is definitely the better option vs Kyrian. Kyrian ONLY offers dmg, NF offers a 15% DR on a party member, plus Faeries and an extra movement cool-down.
Kyrian should be chosen if your comfortable with the group and want to do more dmg.
NF is only required at the bleeding edge. Kyrian is better otherwise. NF priests are doing 32-33 keys. But kyriand are still doing 29-31 keys

I dont know why I clicked this video but im laughing my ass off that you think any priest should go kyrian. All the dmg you do as kyrian can easily be transferred to a teammate using Faeries and then its easier to keep mana up using Faeries so its all round just much better.
I recommend playing what you enjoy instead of arguing.

Ok, see. Now that I’ve got Ret pally down… and my group’s bugging me to switch to Holy priest… you go and make it seem soooo easy! I’ve never played a priest, and up until your video thought I never would but, you might have changed my mind!

Holy priest is fun for sure but just keep in mind… if you have never played a healer before it may be a bit of a challenge to grasp. Damage windows can be a bit annoying to set up and tracking multiple major CDs, Word Cds, and keeping the leggo buff up can be a lot to take in for new healers.
I’ve played pretty much every healing spec since BFA at some point for M+ and this spec can be very easy to grasp initially but takes time to master.
Granted I’m pretty much within the top 1% every season so what I consider mastering may be a bit different. Just be patient, healing can be overwhelming.
I would suggest Using mouse over bindings with clique (I use ElvUI bars) and be sure to have WA prompts to your liking to remind you of things as the creator of the video states.
If you are getting frustrated I would recommend trying resto shaman. Much easier to play and has great healing/damage output for m+

Great content. Not every guide has DPS rotation with examples I liked that you added that.
Just made my priest today with DF character boost. First time playing holy since legion, the spec is dumb broke and I don’t even have any tier. With 239 ilevel, not playing my leggo correctly (thought it buffed flash heal and not heal so I never pressed heal) I have a 13 key sitting after pushing it up from 2 without feeling much healing pressure. I can only imagine how monstrous it is with optimal gear.

@@notSachy Yeah, i Have it as the same key as my RipTide for Resto and my monkey brain can't break the habbit of just dropping renew as soon as someone drops health
I like renew just for a toss and run heal; it's mana efficiency is good. I don't want to get used to life without it incase it comes back strong at some point and I have to integrate it back in.
I could get ahead of the pack toss renew and drink if needed, also throw it on the tank at the start of pull just for a little something.
Maybe I'm trying to keep it relevant, but just some thoughts :)
Admittedly it needs a rework; I like the idea of having reactive heals supported by HoTs, hopefully it finds its use next expansion.

Yea i guess if you're on the move its ok-ish but the issue is that it's low 'effective healing'. renew isn't outhealing grievous and it's not healing fast enough to matter. Renewing the tank is like you may as well wish him the best of luck haha, it's not affecting his survivability or pull potential at all. But if you like using it and it's not negatively impacting gameplay by all means thats fine, healing is very feel-y, people can do different things and eventually get to the same end results so if it aint broke right.
As a Warlock main, who is just dipping toes into learning to heal as a holy priest. I can just say I make the whole PI conversation easy. I just tell the healer it is their buff, use it how ever they want to. It isn't the end of the world if I don't get it. I don't need it as Demonology, but it is really good when cool downs line up with it. But that is just a part of the problem. As a new priest, I'll just admit I have barely engaged the button as I have been trying to learn everything else that is more important. Like trying to keep flash heal up with a good group is awful! All I'm doing is casting flash heal in low keys while the DH tank out heals me. Which I'm sure a lot of people would love. But I'm afraid I will get into a bad habit of dps'ing instead of healing and when it goes bad, I'll be caught off guard.
Hey IVIV. Great guide. I actually just started playing wow again. Been gone since Legion. Anyways, I wanted a healer since I’ve always healed and things have changed a lot since last I played. My question is, I just boosted to 60 and with some AH crafted gear I’m around 220ilvl but I have no set or other things including legendaries. My healing is pretty low now when I get into a dungeon. I assume it’s because I’m boosted and haven’t done the covenant campaign. I am Haste+vers. I was just curious if I’m doing something wrong or it’s just me not having anything. I think my covenant renown is like 5-6
Yea the borrowed power is massive, double legendaries are EXTREMELY powerful and so is your conduits and tier set. Just keep on earning those things and finish the campaigns and you’ll be turbo blasting in no time

Haste-Vers always in dungeons. Crit is ok, and mastery isn’t good as your base mastery is already very good in dungeons. Any more and you’ll overheal like crazy.

Ah, raid is kinda the exact opposite of dungeons. Mastery > crit is top, Vers is ok, and haste isn’t terrible but it’s not a priority at all in raids. Nightfae is also more common for raid healing, dreamweaver specifically.
Hey IVIV, I just started with holy priest and trying to understand and learn all spells and their place. Your guide really helped me but I missed one spell you haven’t mentioned - Power Word: Shield.
Is there any place for it ever in thr rotation or can I unbind it as Renew + Prayer of Healing and be fine without ever casting it? Thank you!
Hey, power word: shield is only used if you took body and soul talent. But other than that it’s got no interactions with the Holy kit, the only reason you have access to it is because it’s a generic priest spell. You never need to press it/bind it. Similar to mind blast, it’s just there cuz it’s a generic priest spell.
Hello IVIV, thank you for your fast response and kind explanation. I gladly unbinded it as you advised as priest has many spells and it becomes overwhelming for new player fast, so the lesser buttons to worry about the better.
I also preferred your guide because it was the most recent out of all guides out there.

In your video you say take Prayer of Healing off your bar completely, while I agree the healing for it is.. dismal for the mana %. I do like that basically 1 PoH after a Sanctify then Chastise into another PoH gives you sanctify back which is massive for AoE healing situations that everyone is grouped. Or am I being less efficient and should just be heal spamming with Serenity and actually not worrying about getting Sanctify off CD quickly?
The important thing is that your group isn't dying, you can do whatever you want as healer as long as you're timing keys and the group isn't dying due to your misplays.
That being said tho, in situations where I've had to burst out 25k+ hps like on Medivh or Mana Devourer, sanctify is cool but Serenity -> Heal -> Chastise -> Heal -> Heal -> Serenity -> GS someone -> Heal -> DP/Fade Myself -> Heal -> Heal -> Serenity. This is usually by panic order, give or take a heal here and there. If 3 people are stacked for sanctify its p cool, but in panic moments like that I don't see where I could fit in a PoH if the PoH isn't gonna save someone, since if you *need* sanctify back, things are dangerous, but I feel like spending the cast on PoH is detrimental to your effective healing in that dangerous. It's like 1 step back, 2 steps forward.
But again, I respect that PoH and Renew are iconic and have cool animations/feel, so if the group isn't dying and you're having fun, by all means go ahead, but hopefully my explanation helped

what are the stats priority?
Haste/Vers vs. Mast/Crit as the wowhead guides told me. Personally, I love haste. But do HPriests really benefit that much from Haste? I can see Vers, but really not too sure about how beneficial Haste will be in stressful situations.
Keep in mind crit mastery is wowhead’s recommendation for raids, I don’t know a damn thing about raid healing this is strictly M+ healing discussion.
Wowhead recommends haste crit vers, which is fine. It’s just that myself and wowhead’s guide writer Automaticjak have both geared our priests to hit 28% vers then rest in haste. But keeping vers higher so elegy and soleah’s give vers.
As for how it benefits in stressful situations, haste is more value out of Boon, faster cast times, faster SWP and Mastery tick rate, just good value all around IMO

Wanted to give a tip as I always used icy veins/wowhead as a means for guides. Before I get into it don’t get me wrong, icy veins and wow head provide great content but sometimes it could be outdated. MW monk guide was outdated toward the end of BFA for example. I was 58 US and my build did not even closely resemble either of their guides.
I personally use raiderio / wow armory / Warcraft logs to look at characters playing that spec at a high level and cross analyze their stats. For example I would look at the top 5 holy priests and look at their stats/trinkets/leggos. I would then look and see what they played for their best keys and go from there.
I realize you may have clicked on the wrong page but I would double check to see if any guide holds its salt. I’ve found in the past that there are shifts in spec builds toward the middle-end of patches and sometimes the class guide writers don’t update their page.
From what I found though it’s Haste/Verse/Crit
Mastery is lower prio because it does not boost your DR (Verse) or Damage (Haste/Verse/Crit) which is what is important for healers in m+.
You will notice this with pretty much all healing specs, unless their mastery ties in with their damage or damage reduction (Can’t think of one off the top of my head)
@@brandonherrschaft355 Thanks for your time!! I've done exactly this when I played arena 3v3, I just had a look at the ladder and built my setup from the top playerd depending on their team mates and enemies/situational.
Went with Haste/Crit for my leggo now, but the Mastery thing is quite interesting, as EVERY guide said Mastery for my main resto druid.
It's my main for 5 Years now and as well as arena and m+, resto druids seem to fully rely on mastery. Fancy that

Yes I believe Rdruid is the only exception. I played that season one of SL. I did however prioritize haste/verse in higher keys to live through mechanics while keeping a fair amount of mastery.
You are correct though haste/mastery is too big for rdruid, the interaction with mastery on other specs is not as important for m+ for what I previously mentioned.

Is power word: Shield still viable in mythics? I'm finding I don't have much downtime to use it.
No not at all, PWS doesn’t do anything for holy it’s just there because it’s a base priest spell and they added a lot of base class spells back in shadowlands. Only need to use it in PvP or if you’re talented into body and soul for the speed boost.

Im really struggling to heal on big aoe dmg such as halls shard trashes how to do i get through them ??
TL;DR rotate aptheosis/hymn healing buff each thrash, use Resonant words heals properly. Make sure wicked bolts/curses aren't going off and prio dispelling the magic debuff over everything.
So fade + desperate prayer should be enough to keep you alive through the thrash. You'll want to manage your resonant words heals well. One resonant words + tier heal should be enough to top a dps, they will still keep taking damage but it shouldn't be lethal after that.
If the key is higher and it is still lethal, you can pre-hymn for the first thrash, and have everyone use defensives on the 2nd thrash if there is one.
If it is an even higher key, you'll need apotheosis for sure, either that or group defensives + hymn buff. Then 2nd thrash use whichever you didn't use prior paired with asking dps to use hp pots and then you'll symbols to some defensives back.
The thrash damage itself usually isn't what wipes people, it's missing kicks/dispels during the thrash damage so keep an eye and see if that's really where the problem is in which case tell ur dps to kick.
Can also LOS it as a group if times are hard.

Is there a way for Night Fae covenant to do dps? Because actually is the most OP covenant for holy priest but you need to sacrifice dps. All top holy priest in rank have night fae and can do dps but I don't understand how
Not really, you will take a large overall damage hit as NF. It’s only really necessary for super high keys tho, you can still run kyrian up to the 29-30 key level mark.

Yea always try to contextualize why the top key runners are running their builds, it usually isn’t the most effective build for lower keys

Hey yea, so we go haste vers just cuz damage and survivability in keys. Crit is fine, mastery is only pure healing which is why it's not recommended.

ahaha that one is specifically a weak aura, altho De Other Side has since been removed from the mythic plus rotation so I don't think the accompanying aura exists anymore unfortunately
