- The new Master Level features a Classic mode where you unlock weapons and weapon mods throughout the level. Unfortunately there is no Ultra-Nightmare difficulty for it, so this playthrough is done on Nightmare without deaths or 1-ups, and no BFG or Crucible use.

@@NickWright all im saying is if you play the game enough you just visually memorize and build muscle memory for where on the screen which difficulty is. That guy is probably also not half asleep and has just snorted 2kilograms of gfuel so its not that fast

In the beginning watching you rain down stickies and precision bolt shots on that Titan while dancing on that rock was one of the greatest things I've seen yet in this game. You must have been a scout in TF2 or something.

The ultimate Masterkey. Shotgun for doors, grenade for blowing a hole through a wall.
Or pocket AA12 if you use full auto in some occasions

Jesus, that air movement... perfect weapon rotation, consistent aiming. It's smooth like machine is playing it. DraQu is a beast!

The fact that he breezes through those first areas with just the first 2 weapons while I struggle to beat them with all my arsenal is beyond impressive to me.
It took me 5 minutes to like this video. Not because I wasnt sure or something amazing happened at that mark. I was just stuck in a pure amazement.
this is insane. I struggle on secret encounters with 2 or more super demons.
The trick to secret encounters is to cheese the ice bomb and ballista. Most of them also offer ways to funnel the enemies into a corridor or give you a wide field of view, then slicing them all in half with the ballista is easy. I've only had issues with a single encounter, the one on Taras Nabad with a shield-whore, as I call them. Still not too bad if you have good keybindings and fast reflexes.

Funnily enough, I struggle more with most secret encounters than I did this level.
Not saying that it wasn't hard for me, I just found this to be a little less difficult.
I was like "how does he know to glory kill without the outline?" but he just knows the stagger animations lmao the difference between a noob and a master I guess
I prefered to to play 2016 like that, but it's more grounded and realistic and small-scale. Eternal is too chaotic and crowded to pick out stagger animations, at least for me, at least for now. Might try playing with it off again in the near future.
They don’t highlight while staggered but there’s a glowing ring on the ground beneath them. See @26:11 when he staggers the fodder.

DraQu is obviously incredible but lets take a second to thank Id for making such a responsive and fast pased fun game
Super impressive to say the least. I am impressed on how much health/armor you have on average at any time, never really challenged in that area. Proof that the game definitely needs a new DraQu/Zero Master difficulty mode way harder than UN, as you have totally defeated Hugo Martin's combat loop.
I struggled with normal campaign mode gameplay but this guy is cruising through this nightmare. Hats off

I'm amazed by how you are switching weapons so quickly. Now I'm just wondering, what's key bindings for your whole arsenal.
Weapon-switching like this is ez pz with practice, other Doom Eternal runners like FrostyXen and... I think he's called LightningBreak? Well, they use default bindings besides I think they put the minigun on something like T.
Personally, I put the heavy machine gun on E, rocket launcher on R, super shotgun on Q and 1, and ballista and minigun go on side mouse buttons. Everything is accessible in an instant, very easy. Only things I sometimes fumble with are crucible and BFG on V and T, but I rarely use those, anyways. I often beat levels without remembering that I have super weapons as an option.
Edit: Oh yes, I also put mod-swap on mousewheel up and grenade change on mousewheel down. Better there than on keys, I think.
@@FFFan3445 That's really cool. Rn trying recent bindings from Under the Mayo. I like how all abilities are just 1 cm from you, for example, as for nades he uses E, which is very accessible and comfortable. The thing is I'm trying to learn how to do those combos for quick scoping, rocket, ballista, sup shotgun and repeat. It's sometimes very anxious to watch how you mess up your cycle and your weapon efficiency just becomes 0.
Q, E, R etc. are not the best options as you have to lift your fingers off of movement keys. Most used weapons i bind to B, V, or C. This requires some getting used to, but this way you can do weapon rotation with your thumb without ever interrupting WASD movement.

I swap like rhat that I use mousewheel up for SSG and down for Balista. E for rockets and x for chaingun. T for BFG. Everything else is default binding.

Just did this on Xbox. Same mode, same difficulty, only it took me 3 hours not 30mins and many, many deaths.

I did this level in the regular ultra nightmare yesterday and was so happy. Took me about 2 weeks of casual practise but damn it felt good to finally be done with it :D

Damn, this is just absolutely nuts. I just finished the master level today and tried my hardest not to use the BFG ans Crucible, but those last few arenas just kicked my butt so hard I couldn't do it.
And that was on regular too, so you doing this is beyond insane.
Sucks that there isn't any kinda' saving system too, with everything it throws at you, I just can't handle it most of the time.

I just beat this on extra life mode/ Ultra Violence and holy balls these are rough. Didnt die but as a first run it was heart racing. Damn near no other game gets the blood pumping like Doom. Still cant beat the master levels on Nightmare but so happy there is something to work towards.

If times correctly, you can jump from the first sentinel armor location to the climb wall leading to the space overlooking the main arena, which is where the ballista is

I simply couldn't find the BFG and I still had to pick and choose which Arch Viles I wanted to use the limited ass Crucible ammo on, I think this was a bit clusterfucky but much more entertaining than the standard level
It's in the fog area, where you fight the first Marauder... after the fight finishes, a skull switch comes up which opens the jaw to BFG.
I beat this last night. I will admit i was playing on the easiest difficulty, but I still had plenty of fun and thats what matters. Also it made me realize that Super Gore Nest is paced like a Metroidvania, especially the Classic Mode Master Level, where you haw to go around finding new weapons and weapon attachments.
I thought you just had to keep fighting in the gargoyle room. My eyes will never be the same

One of the only things in the game that disappoints me is that there isn't just a jar of Cacodemon eyes in the Doom Slayer's room in the fortress of doom that gets more full as you glory kill Cacodemons
