Okay fam, you're a double major in CS and EE at YALE while being a CONSISTENTLY QUALITY CONTENT youtuber AND doing ROTC and all the other things?? Fam how you do this. Whatever it is, keep doing what you're doing, great job bro! But plz dont sleep on your mental health
I liked the Gilmore music library and was happy to see yet something else id like to see . I hope there is some way I could be there for my son on family weekend to be supportive and check out yale!
The Yale specific information here was super helpful (like the chairs, old floors, plugs) since I wouldn’t have thought I’d need those next year!! Thanks!
I'm moving into TD soon (24th), gonna be great to see you in person at some point! I'm thinking about getting a chair, but should I order it now and bring the package to Yale, or should I wait until I settle in and then order for it to be delivered to the dorm? How does that process work for larger packages?
Niklas Kniesche you should be able to order larger packages as long as you have a P.O. box. I’m glad you got put in TD, you’ll have a lot of fun this year!
Those rocking chairs are terrible! I spent a 5 week camp at a college with those chairs, and I almost had a heart attack every time it tipped back. Thanks for another awesome video!
Hello Josh, since you’re majoring in electrical engineering and computer science, will it still take you 4 years to complete both? Or even less perhaps?
Hey Josh, I’m a rising senior and want to attend Princeton, Cornell, Yale, or Notre Dame for Chemical Engineering. What type of laptop do you recommend for engineering students? I love the MacBook Pro, but I’m not sure if the iOS system would be as conducive for engineering as other options would be.
Hey Josh, love your videos! I've been watching ever since my first visit to Yale. My question is, any tips for the Yale interview specifically? I just scheduled mine. Also, any difference/advantage between alumni and on campus interviews? Thanks! (Maybe I'll run into you when I'm on campus for my interview)
Hi! My Yale interview was actually the longest and most difficult (which I was partially expecting). In a lot of ways, I felt like I needed to WOW my interviewer. In retrospect, I realize they're the most wowed by *genuine* and passionate people. I stress genuine. With Yale, list specific reasons why/how you would make the most of your education there. Saying "because its the best"isn't going to cut it. Don't be afraid to talk about yourself, as weird as it may feel. Talk about achievements, failures, and things in-between. I walked away from my interview in tears, because I was stuttering (and even apologized for being nervous!). I may or may not have said a bad word or two. My interviewer was very sweet, but I was defeated when she began recommending self-help books to me (haha). I thought I had no chance of getting in! When I was accepted I received a very kind email from her, celebrating my accomplishments, personality, and drive. But yea. I think being genuine and engaged is the most important thing you can do in your interview (but tbh for all interviews). Also, when I was preparing, I stumbled across this page: asc.yale.edu/sample_interview_questions and would highly recommend checking it out and exploring the website. Hope this helped!
I know you mentioned in a video that you didn’t need winter things until after Thanksgiving, but not being familiar with winters there. Should someone get 8 or 10 inch snow boots or are just winter shoes ok?
You went to Yale to take CS and EE? Wtf. Why would you go to an amazing school and take literally the only thing that they are terrible at. Yale Engineering is on par with UConn.
“When you’re frustrated and wanna collapse and cry somewhere... rugs are a great place to do that” IM DEAD LOL
I swear to god this guy is so underrated
I don't have the bell on for any youtuber except Josh :)

Also, get a power strip with one spot that's further apart so the laptop brick doesnt block another outlet
All the dislikes are from Harvard rivals.

Or even less perhaps?

also: no difference between on campus and alumni interviews. Yale does not track demonstrated interest.
Wow, thank you so much! I'll definitely check out that page. Would you say the questions on there are fairly accurate to what you were actually asked?
