The amount of unintentional future predictions in this clip is insane. It’s like they predicted the entire fallout from this: Punk considering refusing to work with Page, the fight (even though it didn’t involve Page), and Tony’s lack of leadership being responsible for all of it. I remember a while back, honky Tonk man said he hosted a wrestling seminar with a lot of new guys, and guess who shows up as well? CLAUDIO! Guy was a star in the making, over huge in ROH and came to HtM’s seminar. Honky was yelling at Claudio “why are you even here?! You don’t need this!”
Maybe Claudio didn’t need to show up, but he wanted to learn from legends even when he was good in the ring already. The newer aew wrestlers should take note

But true story is without Tony Khan there is no AEW and no deal with TNT. I bet you executive dint go with AEW bcz they organised ALL IN but their trust with tony Khan and their relations with shahid Khan and off course their billion dollar net worth and their football team in richest sporting league. That is far and away what made him the best. Because just about anyone who wasn't into wrestling could listen to for 3 minutes and want to see him get his ass kicked.

Send you back to the bottom of the card with a bunch of minions who sadly lost their leader (joke aside, rest in peace Brodie), leave you there for a while and oh crap we gotta shove you back in the title picture without any momentum so Kenny can battle Vertigo (probably got it from listening to U2 too often) but you can stay in the midcard as the champ.

Let's look at both events in context: 1) Hangman's goal was to catch Punk flat-footed and embarrass him on live TV. If his plan had worked, it could have hurt PPV buys and even future business because their top babyface is now convincingly painted as an enemy of the locker room. 2) Beyond the words Punk said, he was essentially challenging Paige to go off script again when Punk was ready for it this time. He called him a coward not because his on-screen character didn't come out for a rematch, but because Paige had no problem going into business for himself when it was essentially a sucker punch, but was nowhere to be seen when it would have been on an even playing field. This could only actually hurt Paige and only so much further because Paige hasn't been wrestling in matches and has been reduced down the Dark Order's cheerleader in the trios tournament. Objectively, in full context, I would have to side with Punk as the one striking back and as the one whose actions were far more measured and judicious.

CM PUNK is awesome, he's great, he makes watching AEW so unpredictable, love him or hate him, he's able to elicit a reaction from the crowd, he has fans eating out the palm of his hand, when he speaks, people listen, many fans nowadays get offended easily and don't have the balls to cross the line.
Wrestling is at its finest when you can't tell fact from fiction, promos and storytelling is what makes wrestling great not the flippy floppy no in-ring psychology hardcore crap we see every week on AEW.
From what I see, he did Hangman a favour, what has Hangman done since losing to White? nothing important but hanging with jobbers like The Dark Order, all his momentum has cooled off because TK is an amateur booker, he's reminding fans that Hangman was once the champ, now Hangman has some buzz back on him.
This might lead to important character development for a bland generic one dimensional personality of Hangman which he really much needs.

I stopped watching WWE around 2010- 2015 & came back as my son got more into WWE...I find it curious that CM Punk showed up just before Heels started & then was "injured" around time to film the 2nd season...We'll see if the extra drama brings more ratings...

Jim Cornette singing Cult of Personality is impossible to listen to. Punk challenged a guy that couldn’t do anything. Page was in the same ring with Punk. I don’t like either, but Punk is a straight coward.

Take this segment and Dax tweet to Meltzer about FTR having issues with the Bucks and I think we can see the AEW locker room Civil War sides are now drawn up: Punk & FTR vs Hangman, the bucks, and Omega. And I think it ends with one side leaving. And if Punk is really as big a draw for AEW as Tony said he is (at that media scrum) then I don’t see him siding with “The Elite.” If he does side with them it will expose the company as a Mickey Mouse organization that is just playing wrestling federation with their rich friends dads money and not a real business. At a time Tony is looking for a new contract with a big raise… there is no way the network gives them that after the biggest draw they have walks out the door. I think “the elite” are gonna be pretty disappointed in what happens if they try to flex their stroke.

Sadly, if the Elite & Friends leaves, I imagine a lot of the core AEW audience would leave as well. For some reason they love those wrestlers. Which is ironic because they seem to have the ego of Hogan with a fraction of the drawing power.

Exactly, he’s taking all these idiot indie kids and showing them how it’s done. I can’t wait till he turns full heel/tweener and starts going at Tony and AEW for all their flaws. I’d love to see punk bury AEW and I wouldn’t even mind

Exactly! Punk pulling backstage private matters into the public sphere to bury the whole locker room is ridiculous, and Cornette is defending him? Why? Nothing Punk did is remotely professional, and I would trust him LESS in the ring than Hangman, who hasn't injured anyone, puts on great matches, is considered a generally likable and nice guy backstage, and -- even when Hangman did have issues -- didn't bury anyone publicly about it (and really, compare Hangman's comments to Punk's comments -- Punk just buried the guy who wasn't even there and made one of their top babyfaces look like crap).
