Understanding someones actions and accepting them are two different things. Your past trauma might explain why you hurt someone but it doesnt excuess it
Okay... this is stuff we can learn from. Wesly's reply to Angela's justification (that's not an exuse, not by far) is in itself correct, but it lacks empathy. And because Wesly formulates it as an undisputable law (stern and firm) it stops the conversation. Angela is quite stumped. He leaves her to stew. This is the point from where things go either the right way or... the wrong way. It is clear that Angela has this mistrust by near and dear ones from her early childhood not worked out. The impression is that it even became a part of her "armor" for getting through the hard times in life. So getting a change of heart on the spot? Quite hard to do. She clearly needs time to process this and because Wesley is so abrupt and leaves... well the processing has to be done in her own time. Luckily Angela is just as much a moral straight shooter as Wesley. So there's every change she gets through this the right way and gains inside of how she handles mistrust. So she can learn to be more upfront concerning trust issues in stead of getting behind the loved ones back (sneaking through his phone data). And she can get insight of the power of mistrust jn her day to day life and how it motivates her actions. What she needs is to overcome the pain of Wesley's reaction. She will get there. Because she is morally strong and because love motivstes her to overcome the pain. And that is quite exceptional. Loads of people don't have what it takes. The would be to offended. And not overcoming there pain and giving in to anger justifies and strengthens the mistrust that is already there. For Wesley the danger is lack of empathy. A great majority of moral straight shooters are alas not equiped or not enough with empathy. Empathy motivates to listening and understanding and gaining insight in not only the reasons but also the needs of the other. That can form the basis for giving support to the other to help them taking in the required lessons. Looking back at my own upbringing by a morally very straight shooting father who had not one ounce of empathy in his whole system... he was right most of the time but the wsy he dished it out? It's a small wonder that my brothers and me didn't turn to crime permanently, only during a short period in our younger years. This scene is overflowing with valuable social drama. So many lessons can be taken from this. (so, producers, story writers, staff... good work. Compliments!) But... as usual, the outcome, how Angela and Wesley solve this... it's over before you know it. And that's the downside of tv show social drama. Most of the time there's no time for the public to reflect. This one, Wesley in the right and Angela not quite there yet and leaving a potential bomb under their relation, oh man, that gets me going.
I think Wesley had the empathy, he also had to make it clear. Yes, crap childhoods do shape us, but at some point you become an adult and what you do is on you, regardless.
No point in hanging around with a guy like that who freaks out if you go through his phone. If he is innocent then it shouldn't bother him. What he did to her is gaslighting. She is valid to have trust issues. Grownup or not grown up, trauma remains forever. And he is just escalating it.
All these people☝️ ( @maroingargoub1532 , @tar90 , @aaronnguyen8837) in the reply section want women to be submissive and gullible. That's why they hate my response. All these 3 'geniuses' have a reaction but no content. They think they are always right. A woman should not defend or protect herself. Otherwise "she'll die alone". If men go through women's phone then it's ok. But a woman cannot go through a man's phone. What a shame on their upbringing !!☝️

Exactly
This is the best response ever
Correct me f I'm wrong, but the only one who said, "I'm sorry," WAS Wesley. Lopez never apologized for anything. She tried to excuse it.
No my friend you are correct
That's how it always is.
"Sorry I f'd up, I'll never do that again" if he accepts, good. Otherwise, that's a shame but at least they apologized.
Women can’t take responsibility for their actions…..especially when it comes to involving men!
NOW THIS IS KING ENERGY!!!
It was more of an excuse than an apology
and now they are getting married, MOZALTOV
Damn, Wesley is so cold! Like if you get the reference
Ice Ice Ice baby lol
@@uncletaylorify Thanks. Only 18 others got the reference
And lamplighter on The Boys
Yes I dooo X men for life
So freaking valid!
She probably fell in love with him right there. xD
He’s so gorgeous. 🤤😍
And there's 2 of them
It's so hard for women to say sorry

Another woman blaming her daddy issues for her actions.
Yes but still as She is a grown woman a lot pp had issues from past....if they not the word will not need shrinks psychiatrists or therapy
When is season 3 coming out
January 3
She never apologised tho
What a cold response. I understand he is upset but he should have had at least a moment of sympathy about what she said instead of steamrolling it.
GamerKat'71 well now they r dating so
I mean he has a point. At some point, a bad childhood can't be used as a way to excuse behavior anymore.
i mean hes right tho
Bro she was in the wrong there by far
Naw he was 100% right.
Ok I know season two is out and things have changed and whatever but ngl he’s always kind of treated her like shit

You must be the best gaslighter ever
Lmao what a clown response
Good lord, no wonder why women these days never think they're never wrong lmao
