Boeing trip 7 and GE 90's for power: Can't beat it. Your flight was extremely quiet with respect to the aircraft and engines, and the touch down was like a butterfly landing on a flower petal. Good pilots.

The GE90 is seriously a different beast altogether. You can feel that you are being pushed into the seat while taking off. I have never experienced this on any aircraft before. Can't wait to witness the GE9X in B777X.

I loved this, as a frequent flyer with Emirates for a number of years I was able to twice upgrade based on miles traveled on economy flights. My most recent experience was 18 months ago when they told me I would have to pay to select my seat. I paid the ridiculous price because it would allow me to reserve a seat on the upper deck of the economy on the A380.
Payment made some two months later I logged in to check my seat selection only to find that Emirates had changed their aircraft and it was now a 777.
Annoyed but not completely perplexed I called Emirates to change my seat because I was now in the middle of a row of four. The guy could not have been more helpful, however my £80 was gone. No apology no refund and as a result I'm now flying with Qatar from Edinburgh which is miles cheaper and no seat reservation fee. I feel absolutely gutted writing this because I loved Emirates, I wrote many great reviews about Emirates, and I enjoyed every fight. However financially enough is enough. Qatar have impressed me, I'm enjoying the flying and the saving in my pocket.
Derek Mccauley Emirates did the same thing to me, it’s the old bait and switch con job, I used all of my points to upgrade after paying extra for a flex ticket, so that I could fly business on the a380, then a couple of months later they switched the plane to 777, no refunds, they just told me it was tough luck. The 777-300 business seat is almost as bad as economy, it’s like sleeping on a ladder that is leaning up against a wall at 20 degrees. I was a loyal Emirates silver member for years, won’t fly with them again, there are plenty of better airlines.

Derek Mccauley of course they don’t care, once they have your money, they have no loyalty to honour their agreement to provide you with the trip that you paid for. They won’t listen to complaints, so I am voting with my wallet, never flying with Emirates again.
I have done this route with Emirates on the 777! HKG-BKK-DXB-LGW!

I am also going from bengaluru to dubai on board Emirates Boeing 777-300 er and i am very excited.
The flight will be awesome but it is just for about 3 hours though. Can't get uninterrupted sleep.
So I’ve actually been to Thailand 7 times or more. It’s one of my favourite country’s. Next year I’m first staying 2 nights at Bangkok, then 12 nights at 2 other islands, one of them is Ko lanta I think. Love your trip reports! And have a great day!

I think this is the best flight . Service is very good. Loved it
Make sure you have a roaming plan for international use, if not then turn off WiFi assist as that can use data even if your cellular data is off because that can use data when your on a poor WiFi connection even if your cellular data is off and put your phone into airplane mode. Emergency number calls are free tho in most countries.

Emirates operate their old planes on Asia,Middle East,Brazil and Africa routes which I believe this is how they can offer competitive prices

I was on a trip in Thailand, we flew down too Phuket via Bangkok from London Heathrow, and some days later we flew from Phuket to Don Mueang and stayed in Bangkok a little, then we flew from Suvarnabhumi back to London Heathrow.

Since the beginning there’s something on RUclips which is called the video description. There you can usually find all the information about a video, including the equipment and many more things like links to more content etc.. Have a look there. 😉
Emirates has a good product and service, but it's unfortunate that they squeeze 3-4-3 seating into a 777, which results in narrower seats. I know they're not the only airline to do it. 3-3-3 is what the 777 is designed for.
Wrong, 777 was designed with both 3-4-3 and 3-3-3 in mind.

Good day to you a fair and interesting travel guide, travelled with Emirates to maldives 2019 September. A380 from heathrow, 777-300er from Dubai to maldives, I am just over 6 feet tall, found the seats a little uncomfortable, but no way could afford business or first, best plane, for me its the 380, it's a smoother plane than the 777, less bothered by turbulence, slightly more comfortable, I put it like this, the a380 is like a Rolls Royce, whilst the 777 more like an american muscle car, that's just my thoughts on it, like you some parts of the food were ok, didnt eat anything on way back on 777 found food to salty, as for service, it was just ok, you could see this airline is geared to business and first, with cattle class not so important, as I said didnt eat on 777, but asked for a cup of tea, the flight attendant was quite rude in her reply, and in fact I never did get any tea, my fault i guess😀. The ICE was excellent though, unlike you not able to sleep, would I go emirates again, like you I would give them 8/10. If I had my tea, it might be 9/10, but no way 10/10, think I would like to try the other carriers you mentioned, going to be post-cold now though, thanks for the review once again, any more send could you put them on RUclips please. Thank you.

I went on a Emirates Boeing 777 from Stansted to Dubai then Dubai to Bangkok on a Airbus A380. Generally, the Boeing 777 was better.

Trotz dieser Vorliebe bin ich aber auch schon mit Emirates geflogen und es war immer bestens! Un ich vermisse die ehemaligen Direktflüge von DUS nach BKK, ist ja schon eine lange Zeit her.

For passenger comfort the A380 is much better than the 777. But they’re both very good products.
Depends on the airline’s configuration. I do agree tho, almost the 777 and a380 aren’t in the same league
