"Its a piece of the puzzle of the purpose of man", this lyric has been stuck in my head for sooo long and it took me a while, but i've finally found this nasheed. Brings me back to my childhood.
2025❤ Assalamualaikum all I really enjoyed this, and it is very true. The world 🌎 is full of on going things. We should always remember that one day everyone , everything will be gone. So don’t waste time. I remember a time when my nanny was alive and I was really young. The ONLY memory I have is when I was impatient and was crying on the floor. I have never shared this story with anyone before. But I miss her so much 😢😢 . I wish she was here.😭😭😭😭😭😭. Sometimes I really think 💭 of her and spill tears of sadness. I am 10 now and soon 11 and going Umrah in February ❤ .(I know my mom misses her mom , my nanny, aswell ❤❤😢😢😢😢😭😭😭😭
LISTEN TO ZAIN BHIKHA HE DID SOME NAATS WITH DAWUD WHARNSBARY TYPE UP ZAIN BHIKHA AND DAWUD WHARNSBARY OR IF YOU JUST WANT TO LISTEN TO ZAIN BHIKHA TYPE ZAIN BIHIKHA
To me i believe that this song means that we have to be open minded and let sunlight in which signifies knowledge. The people who want to stay in their boxes reminds in the religion or beliefs of their parents and its comfortable for them but sunlight that is Knowledge will truly bring happiness.
This is wonderful. It is so, SO hard to break one’s comfortable worldview (boxview), and this song is a simple and powerful invitation to break out of something that may have gotten me “here,” but cannot take me “home.”
If you would like further info, please feel free to ask questions! Everything in Islam has an answer with references from authentic sources like the Quran and hadith. This is my favourite nasheed! 😊
It a wonderful nasheed My dad told me all about dawaud wharnsby. I love this nasheed Has anyone heard about Zain bihikha Type up Zain and you'll probaly see is name there. Listen to a is for Allah
i've always interpreted this song as being about people who just believe in what they were born in and just believe they are right and never bother to look into something else or even question their own beliefs, so that they don't realize they are in the darkness and think the world is simple and they're in the light, when in all actuality they're not.
Ya Allah protect us from our selfish ways so that we do not yearn worldly treasures, but we yearn to be with those whom you favour on the day of resurrection.
I remember singing along to The people of the boxes and Afraid to Read when I was a kid. They were just songs I would sing along with then. The deepness behind these words only hits me now.
this actually goes pretty hard? accepting knowledge from outside one's worldview is something i don't see very often coming from religious media?? and this bit seems to openly allude to closing oneself off in the comfort of a worldview that never changes and... that's interesting. I'm a little biased bc nostalgia but coming back to this now is somewhat profound and refreshing, even moreso than listening to this when i was tiny baby thing.
@tosikuai I think it's about people who close their minds and stop learning and growing. They miss out on the beauty of the world and the teaching of the wise man because they'd rather hold on to what's safe and familiar; they can't accept that there is anything else worthwhile out there.
I think it means that there are people who think that think they are correct at all times in the world. When he says the world is not a box, he means that you have to think about all the possibilities.
Isn`t this lovely Mashallah. Mankind eh, what are we like? We are likened to animals that are content to graze in the fields for food, not thinking or questioning are purpose here or pondering on the evidence of Creation around us. Its true, even though we`re not always be content in our little boxes, we are too cowardly to think or to venture outside the box. Then we try to blame or reject God for our own ignorance and lack of action. Seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave. Help OTHERS.
@tosikuai I don't think the song is literal. I guess you can interpret the way you want. I understand this song as a prophet who was sent to these people. The people hide themselves away, shunning the prophet because perhaps they were afraid to learn. In the end, someone believes in the prophet. That's how I understood the song. But it seems like it could be interpreted in several ways. :)
This song makes of the people who hold stereotypes. So in their way(boxes), to afraid to come out. They just need to open their boxes up and let the knowledge flow into them. Then maybe this world would be a better place for you and me.
That image was put up to depict a wise man and in no way to depict the holy prophet (pbuh). However, I understand where you are getting at. Jazak Allahu Khair
God/Allah, Glorified and exalted, intended honour for mankind, so it is not for us to dis-honour one another through attack, slander, back-biting, jealousy, persecution, envy, oppression etc He sends us instructions, we pretty much ignore them, or pick and choose the laws we like to suit our ego, and then we go into denial. We claim to be followers of Quran Sunnah, but its just words. If sum1 on drugs, drunk or in prison, we turn our backs on them when they decide to clean up. We r in boxes.
1) there are 7,000,000,000+ people on earth, how bout' you do your research next time, eh?. 2) some people, like me for example, have watched this twice or more times. :)
@jollierancher123 Asalamalikum..although u say u understand this song in many ways..one of them would be how the prophet(peace be upon him) invited the ignorant ppl from darkness to light..so its strictly prohibited to picture our prophet(pbh) ..at 0:58 the background is of a man...i agree the purpose is just to show a wise young man coming but still.... i am extremely sorry if i said ny thing wrong..ma purpose is not to hurt u nor start up a debate..peace:)

Nice
People are keen to stay in their boxes because it's safer and easier to stay within your own realm of ideas, however ignorant they may be.
i really like the rime =D
*rhyme
so true - :)
@darkspirit1973 It could be interpreted that way too. I'm thinking it has many different interpretations.
