I really like the detail in the 3ds version where when you start trying to capture the ghosts, you can tell they wanna break free by looking at their faces filled with desperation. That's pretty cool.
Honestly I still loved the original more. It was more realistic and intimidating. The enemies and bosses were scarier and intimidating as well. Not to mention they had backstory of how they died and what they do. They had meaning. LM 3 had some huge missed opportunities.
i challenged myself to get platinum on every boss in luigi's mansion and surprisingly king boo was the second hardest to do, took me 8 tries, surprisingly it was sue pea that was the most difficult for me to get platinum, took me 14 tries and i gotta say i'm glad i'll never have to do that again

Good question. If I was the devs the plot would be that Luigi and company and invited on a cruise but King Boo reveals him and removes their ghosts from their bodies. So some of the major bosses are King Boo in Mario's body for the final one and Peach along with the Toads being possessed too.
