- Todays creek Ninjas adventure takes us to the Tennessee side of the great smoky mountain national park, to fish a river I haven’t been on in years that is absolutely loaded with wild rainbow and brown trout. This video is more just to show some of the awesome scenery around the Park and some of the awesome trout that live there, for those that’ve never been to the smoky mountain park, it’s highly recommend! Fishing inside the park is a true test of stealth and patience. These fish are insanely spooky eat lightning fast and are some of the pickiest fish around, that combined with the rough terrain of the park and the water makes it a challenge, but a fun one! Don’t forget to like and subscribe if you like what you see!

AWESOME, looking fwd to running up there soon!!!
Great fishing! I was wondering if one could fish those waters. Thanks Man!
My 2 favorite Ninjas! Great video guys!!
Good job boys!
Seems like y'all were shooting fish in a barrell. I'll have to try some of the rivers in the actual Park versus Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
New to the channel. Love the video! 🤙
🔥 video gotta love trout fishing the scenery and those beautiful trout! I just uploaded some trout fishing videos they were a blast to make cannot seem to find anyone else that’s 16 and interested in fishing as much as me!!!!!
Hate it when people make fishing videos in my neck if the woods. Thanks for not mentioning specific places! 👍
That’s a great river to fish. How does it do in the fall? Only fished it this summer and it didn’t disappoint. Great video Ben and Jacob
Didn't know I could fish North Carolina Smokies with a TN license. Good to know and it be nice to give this stream a try sometime.
Yes guys, loved the video. I just discovered those creeks last week lol. What weight rod, line... were you using?
Great Video Men! What creek were you fishing? Going there this weekend and it looks amazing. I would love to get a few wild Browns! Well Done.
Nice video.. hate he missed that big one, but still a blast. Do you use an indicator with the squirmy? I'm trying to learn fly fishing.. whole new world.
Great video!
I´m a new subscriber.
I'm less than 4 minutes in and I see a mechanical counter hanging on you! That's hilarious!
Good fishing and footage of Little River. You cracked me up with almost every fish being described as "...a little wild..." rainbow, or "...a little wild..." brown, the phrase that never quits! And the mechanical counter, oh my various and sundry gods, and the score keeping! Too funny, just friggin' relax, there, hero! Yikes!
Do you recommend fishing the faster water or some of the slower areas. Currently here on a trip and really struggled today. Looking for any advice on for a better day tomorrow
I enjoyed your video, you guys smashed em! I’m trying to plan a trip to NC, good to know about the park and license great tip. Can you explain how you broke your TNT? And what micro leader you run that stretches?? Thanks
Ben broke his T&T from smacking it with a bead getting a fly out of a tree beads and split shot hitting rod tips usually don’t end well for any rod, and I fish a 6-4lb leader with 4x sighter pretty much everywhere all the time!
@@creekninjasfishing9036 thanks, what brand leader do you use that’s stretching? Are you running nylon or mono? Try nylon it has less stretch ..
I use maxima, I tend to lean towards having stretch which is why I fish such a thin leader, I fish a lot of 7-9x tippet and the stretch of the leader acts as a shock absorber to protect from break offs
Any leader that small is going to stretch unless you were using flouro or something but having a super thin leader adding that stretch is perfect for the style I typically fish, and it helps a lot when fighting bigger trout in the 3-10 pound range on light tippet
Never had any luck with many browns in the smokies, been chasing them for years I’ve only caught one that was 4in 😭
I fish that river a lot gonna have to try a squirmy next time
Just fished the Elk River got a really nice Brown.
Nice vid! Did you spot any bears?
Fine for small fish, not for the big uns.hope to fish in that area, don't know where you all are .but don't matter
Every time I fish that river I only catch rainbows, still hoping to catch a good brown in there one day
I only live an hour away and I still haven’t fished it, don’t really know where to go
What is the name of this creek?
new to the area. where abouts is that area so i can start enjoying some fishing? i dont want anyones honey hole, just where to start
The first pull out you come to
Where at in the park are you fishing???
In the river
@@steveyates1136😂😂😂😂
Do you ever use an indicator?
Is the squirmy worm a plastic scented bait?
It isn’t it’s just a rubber material used for fly tying no scent or taste to the fish
I couldn't understand what Ben said he switched to before hooking the 18 inch brown. Could you provide that info?
A 3.5mm bead size 14 France fly, if you’ve never used one before it’s definitely worth checking out that pattern
@@creekninjasfishing9036 Cool, is that also sometimes referred to as a Frenchie?
It’s slightly different, a frenchie is a pheasant tail with a bright dubbing collar, a France fly uses stretch tubing for the body and often a natural grey or tan dubbing collar

What river is this
That question never gets answered so give it up😅
Where is this at
Don't ask that question...😅
😅
No brookies?
What river is that ?
Now that's a silly question! 😅
😅 he gives hints. Think about where they're at in the intro.
What river is this?
He ain't tellin😅
North Carolina side of the park Has better all round trout fishing.
About equal. Live in Tennessee, fished both sides many many times. Really depends on the river. As far as wild trout, especially brooks, I would say the Tennessee side is more populated. Not to mention there's far more places to fish on the Tennessee side than there is North Carolina.
@@eh1918I'm glad you think so!😅
Many more wild Brook in TN .Not necessarily in Smoky Mountain Park. Definitely quite a few in in Cherokee National Forest in Southeastern TN.
Cool video but you should handle trout with a towel they are very fragile. The ones you release are probably going to die. According to the experts. Or at least take them home and eat them.
NO!!! The towel will strip their protective coating way more than your hand. If you wet your hands before handling and have them out of the water as short as possible they are just fine. proper handling (without a towel) is key to fish survival
Filming and posting in the gsmnp is now illegal without proper permits.
Tell that to the other 10000 people a year that post videos on Facebook Instagram TikTok and RUclips from the gsmnp. This were filmed with an iPhone nothin any different than some random person posting a video driving on the parkway.
As of Oct 2022 any posting of videos on RUclips etc... Is in violation of Federal law. Look it up.
@@stevegregg5354 Generally, permits are not required for:
Visitors using cameras and/or recording devices for their own personal use as well as professional or amateur photographers who are shooting in areas open to the public and who require no special services from park personnel.
Coverage of breaking news by bona-fide newscrews. News coverage is subject to restrictions and conditions necessary to protect park resources, public health and safety and to prevent impairment or derogation of park resources, values, or purposes.
1-2 people, camera and tripod only or in this case a phone that was in my chest pack and only used when pulled out, is 0$ no permit required. Do some more research before you start making to many assumptions.
@@stevegregg5354 furthermore. I don’t make money off of RUclips because my channel isn’t monetized. If that were the case I would need a permit, but because I’m not making money off these videos or anything it’s no different than a tourist taking a picture or video and posting it to their social media.
Glad you didn't give out the name of the river on yt. Don't be asking for free handouts on spots. Spot burning on youtube ruins great places. Ya'll figure it out for yourselves it's in the smokies in Tennessee that's a big enough clue
