Running a 2006 93 B207R 5M Sportcombi. Stock tune because I still have no leads on effectively using Trionic 8, but bolt on stuff. 3 inch intake to compressor mouth with new lines for the boost solenoid, catback exhaust stock 2.25" pipe with a magnaflow glass pack replacing the back box, an intercooler with couplings from a 2006 2.0T Audi A4 (3" deep, 9 wide, 7 tall) and i messed with the wastegate adjustment arm a smidge. On a Bosch mechanical boost gauge (which reads boost and vacuum, which no one on youtube seems to get) i get a steady 14.5 psi mechanical off the manifold, and a corresponding KPA from my old obd2 scanner. I need a catch can badly, she spits into my intake over time but its not too heavy in the hot side intercooler charge pipe. The hose you remove with that fangled grip which was referred to as the PCV hose, is that not just a crank case breather hose thats 6 inches long and leads directly to the compressor snail? I would like your opinion on whether or not i should place a simple catch can there? Oil changes every 5k with a quality filter, so i just clean it out no big deal, but it could be beneficial in an efficiency way mostly. I appreciate you taking the time to make this video, as i believe my valve cover could use an update. Quality work, excellent detail, very informative.
No, you don't have to, but when your done you should verify you have the correct oil level and again after a test drive. Assuming you completely wipe down the inside of the cover there will be some minimal oil loss on restart as some will recoat These surfaces, should be an insignificant loss but wise to double check.
Nice video, Thank you for taking the time to help.

I reckon should do a top view cam next time as don't know what you're on it. Lol!
Good DIY video. The guy sounds a little like Dan Aykroyd (not an insult).
Very good video
Very good!!
When putting the cover on, I broke the Upper Timing Chain Guide.
I assume that some small piece of plastic fell inside.
🥺
Is smoke normal after doing this?

Your video was very well explained in every step of the way. I will sit in your classroom. Appreciation!
Might consider outward pattern when replacing the bolts.
What a time! I have spark plug gasket leaking that leak misfire, when the car start.
What a fantastic video, thanks!
Is there a camshaft position sensor under the valve cover
Mine went out last week
They dont have camshaft position sensors, it’s the cheap coils that pull out that code u need genuine
Caution...Scotchbrite pads shed fine abrasive particles and should only be used where a through wash- out can be performed!!
If you was to remove the cam chain guard rail what tools would you require?
Should i drain my oil before doing this
