Biden blasts Florida's 6-week abortion ban, blames Trump for 'this nightmare'

- President Joe Biden is wading deeper into the fight over abortion rights that has energized Democrats since the fall of Roe v. Wade, traveling to Florida to assail the state’s upcoming ban and similar restrictions that have imperiled access to care for pregnant women nationwide.
"Next week, one of the nation's most extreme anti-abortion laws will take effect here in Florida. It's criminalizing reproductive health care for before women even know whether they're pregnant. I mean, this is bizarre," Biden said to an enthusiastic crowd in Tampa.
Tuesday's campaign visit to a former swing state that has become more reliably Republican in recent elections puts Biden in the epicenter of the latest battle over abortion restrictions.
The state’s six-week abortion ban is poised to go into effect May 1 at the same time that Florida voters are gearing up for a ballot measure that would enshrine abortion rights in the state’s constitution.
Biden is seeking to capitalize on the unceasing momentum against abortion restrictions nationwide to not only buoy his reelection bid in battleground states he won in 2020, but also to go on the offensive against Donald Trump in states that the presumptive Republican nominee won four years ago.
"For 50 years, the court ruled that there was a fundamental constitutional right to privacy. But two years ago, that was taken away. Let's be real clear: There's one person responsible for this nightmare, and he's acknowledged and he brags about it: Donald Trump," Biden said.
Advocates on the ground say support for abortion access cuts across parties. They're intent on making the issue as nonpartisan as possible as they work to scrounge up at least 60% support from voters for the ballot initiative.
That could mean in some cases, Florida voters would split their tickets, backing GOP candidates while supporting the abortion measure.
Still, Biden sees a powerful message in the abortion issue, telling supporters at a later campaign stop he believes "Florida is in play nationally."

Democrats were for states' rights in the late 1800's which is why they fought against republican president Abraham Lincoln. Democrats thought they had the right to make somebody else work in their fields. Fast forward to today - Democrats say they have the right to make other people pay for their health care, and they are swinging very strong for states' rights as they are claiming that the constitution has no bearing on what a state does. Constitution is for the Fed, they say. At least, that's the line that the leftist governors and others are saying as of late.

Years ago, a co-worker of mine had cancer & beat it. Her 1st boy was 2 at the time. Three years later she was pregnant with her 2nd child. Her Dr. told her that if she carried to term, the cancer might return & advised an abortion. She told the Dr. 'I want life for my baby', and she couldn't be persuaded to end the pregnancy. Sure enough, 4 months after the baby was born, the cancer returned. The whole office went to her funeral. After all this time, I'm still haunted by Darchelle's sweet face & smile, and her husband listening to the eulogy holding the baby in his lap & the 5 year old leaning on his arm. Whenever I hear in the news . . . 'or the death of the mother' . . . I always want to yell at the TV & say but I KNEW a mother who chose NOT to save herself! And gave her life for her baby's!😢 Her boys are 31 & 36 now. Good guys. Wow . . . 😓

It is time for the world to wake up and realize you work your whole life stressing out over something that is not required for life to evolve on this planet and throughout the universe. We all have a choice to pick a career in life that we would do for free because its our passion and without stresses of cost of living the world would prosper and advance in ways people can't comprehend. People will learn and get smarter because you will have more time. Families will have more time to enjoy life. Advancements in our civilization will grow exponentially because the people are happy and enjoy what they do everyday. Conflicts and deadlines will be at a pace instead of competitive. The future will be there but only if we slow things down and do it responsibly. Free market with no taxes no budget just rationing resources around the world for everyone. World peace can happen without money and the earths climate will calm in time as climate change heals from all the human activity. We have a duty to our planet and to the 8 billion people that rely on this planet for life. We have to change this world to prepare us for the future. We will bring life to the universe.
