  • @skie6282

    Fun fact, if you have an intel cpu with turbo, and that is causing thermal ussues and aggrivat8ng you, you can limit its usage even with having locked voltage settings. Its in tpl, turbo long and short power limits. The numbers are the watt limits. It looks and works to me like its just another volt limiter, keeps turbo in check!

    • @laptoptweakingtips
      @laptoptweakingtips  Год назад +1

      Oh ya tpl, p1 and p2 power limits not bad.
      That's a last resort if you can't unlock anything. Via a combo of turbo ratio limits and undervolt you're gonna get better performance. However TPL ain't bad if you don't have access to that
      Thanks for watching

      @laptoptweakingtips true, i have a new gaming latop so right now its performance is great. Ill hold off trying to unlock the voltage edits for the future. But with just the turbo limitter its still running turboed, just not max turbo,about 3mhz vs 4.4mhz and ive got about 20c cooler temps!

    A good guide, but you forgot to say about the most important thing)) that you need to manually run the program every time you start the PC, or do it automatically through the task scheduler. Don't think that I'm toxic, but it would be more logical to show in one video how to make the program fully automatic.
    For those who wondered about the task scheduler, google it, it's not difficult there. And you dont nned to be afraid of, this is safe for your pc.

    • @laptoptweakingtips
      @laptoptweakingtips  Год назад +5

      Lol
      I didn't think about that, I made this video particularly for people struggling to reduce temperatures even with the undervolt. I keep referring them to my full CPU optimization video, to a section that briefly explains this process. So now I can just refer them to this. It's easier than the former.
      It's not a bad thing though that you don't automate it until it's stable, or else you can get stuck in a boot loop blue screen scenario.
      I'll add that into a follow up video though.
      Hope you're well my bro 🤘

    I think when BD PROCHOT is disable it will ignore the PROCHOT temperature (in your case 93℃) and let the CPU run pass its throttle limiters which can make the CPU hotter and die much sooner. Correct me if I'm wrong.

    • @laptoptweakingtips

      well if you dont follow what im doing your temps will go over prochot
      if you follow these steps your temps will never reach prochot level, hence why i recommend switching it off

      It you have undervolt protection none of this is going to work
      I have no idea how to successfully get rid of undervolt protection.
      It's an utterly cynical microcode that was released specifically for 12th and 13th gen processors.
      It's sad cos you have ab HX processor which should technically be unlocked. But the undervolt protection renders that fact useless
      At this point the only hope is to adjust TPL in throttlestop
      Untick the box, which unlocks P1 and P2 levels
      Set them both to 35 and 35
      See if there are performance and temp improvements

      Yeah bro the 11300h and 11230h are factory undervolted if I'm not mistaken, not to worry though. Turbo ratio limits will drop temps just fine
      Run TS bench, look at the fid column, after you start a benchmark the fid will drop to a particular number, that's where your CPU throttles
      So set turbo ratio limits to 1 value below where it throttles
      That should reduce temperatures immediately 👍
