Your opinion does matter! You are one of the foremost crochet teachers on the interwebs and I value your opinion greatly. In addition please don’t stop, doing yarn reviews, I look forward to hearing your opinions.
Agreed, I don't always watch them but I learned all about yarn from Crystal. She has been correct 💯 of the time. If I ever need specific kinds of yarn for projects, I refer to Crystal. If someone else has crotchet or yarn needs I refer them to Crystal. 😊
Oh I have to agree with another sub, your opinion does matter to me. I made not always agree but I appreciate your opinion. Love you Crystal and who you are don't change for anyone.
Keep going with Yarn Reviews!! Who else is going to tell me if a yarn is scarfable??? Who else will tell me if it smells good??? If is soft?? how are vibrant the colors?? I care about both of these points and you always tell me straight. Keep reviewing so i can live vicariously through you.
My Walmart has some yarn but has not the same amount of colors they use to. The other choices are Hobby Lobby and JoAnns in my town. I have purchased from them all but so disappointed what Walmart has done in the last couple of years. So have purchased on line most of my yarn and recently purchased from Premier Yarns. Love your presentation on both yarns and have watched another person post about the same yarns. I’m happy with both. ❤❤❤😊😊😊
Ok, I do not mind the muted colors… there is occasion for that. I don’t mind the very lightest color. I dislike the large stripe of the lightest color, it doesn’t fit, it looks off. I would have to measure it against the other colors and cut out enough so that it doesn’t look so out of place. I wonder if all the colors are like that??
Crystal, I am a truck driver and travel the States. I don’t have time nor room to look at the yarns you review. I value your opinion because so far, you have not steered me wrong. I appreciate your time and the videos! AMAZING! You ROCK!
Your opinion matters a lot to me! I order 90% of my yarn online and your opinions are 99% spot on with mine. You’ve saved me a lot of money by not buying yarn i wouldn't like or use.😊
Your opinions match my own, except I haven’t actually touched the Premier yet. But I agree with the colors also don’t like the whitish in some of them. I can see for certain projects I might like Premier better. I do love the ease of getting the red heart easily at local stores. Thanks for sharing
@@adriana.ostfriesland I do everything in phases pretty much. When I have free time I'll either be into a series, on youtube catching up or simply crocheting while listening to music. I can't do all at the same time anymore 😂
Your opinion matters, how will we newbies learn if experienced people like you don’t show us options? Thanks for all you do, you are one of my crochet buddies, I watch while crocheting!
Crystal, your opinion does matter. I enjoy your reviews. I find them helpful. You always state that the review is your opinion and say our own opinion may differ. Please continue.
Thank you for your opinion Crystal! I do appreciate the information you pass on to us. We can then take that information and then test it for ourselves! I’ve learned so much watching you! Thank you!
I love an Ombré yarn on a ripple afghan. I made some as a teenager in the late 80’s-early 90’s and gave them as gifts. Maybe it’s time I make one again. 😅 ❤❤❤ the video.
I never knew there are so many different types of yarn until I started watching you. I have learned so much from you. And hope you continue doing what you do. You are the Queen of all things crochet in my book.
Your comment about the "white" is spot on IMHO.... to me the the word OMBRE means a subtle change of ONE color... not going to the extreme of the color being "lost"! Another fun video! Hugs, GrammaBabs
I like your yarn reviews! You keep it honest, rather than hoping for a sponsor by giving a good review. We can count on you!I like the lighter shades of ombré. The white, or pale colors make it look like Tye dye or batik. Maybe that’s what they’re going for.
Crystal, I love your yarn reviews. Not being an experienced yarn buyer, I would not have seen the stark white in the Premirr until I had worked it up AND I would never have thought of cutting it out. Seeing the difference in saturation side by side was a real eye-opener. You are teaching me to think outside the box ..not an easy thing for some of us! Love your guidance and skill and just who you are! Thanks, Nancy!
Great comparison video, please don't stop with your reviews. I am new to crochet (learning from your stitch tutorials) and new to purchasing yarn. I have learned so much from you! Incredible! I have a better idea when I am shopping on what to look for and can make better decisions for the projects I want to make. Thank you for all you do!
Oh my gosh! I look forward to your yarn reviews! PLEASE don't stop making yarn reviews! I can be having a bad day, but when i watch one of your yarn reviews, I forget about the garbage of the day. You sharing your love, (dare i say obsession? Lol) makes my day happy! ❤
SOOOO glad you decided to do a review Crystal and Thank You very much for having done so! I opted to not hit that "button" on the cranberry/burgundy. I was VERY sorely tempted!! But glad I did.. It looked gorgeous on site, phone, computer! As with any thing "new" QC takes time. Red Heart did have an issue for awhile, but they have since addressed it. I agree on the white, blaringly obvious. Nope, not in an ombre. Will I continue to use Premier, yes in the solids. I'll wait to see how this "new product" develops and if any QC is done by them regarding saturation of color. Competition, being what it is, if you're gonna play, play to win. 😉
I so agree with you, I don't like the ones that are so pale almost white in the ombre! I don't prefer the muted either, but some of the colors were nice. I just prefer a teal to be teal & the burgundy to be true to color! I love yourreviews, compassion and all the videos/lives you do even if I don't get to see it live! Thanks for all you do sharing your craft & knowledge with us! I've learned so much. I too will stick with Red Heart Ombre! I love there colors, haven't found one I haven't liked that I bought yet! However if Premer had better saturation in there colors all the way through, I'd buy some and try it,because AZ doesn't require heavy weighted blankets, hats & stuff, so the fact that the yarn is a little lighter, but you get more yards does interest me. But only if they did something about the color issues. I too am a stickler for color in my Ombre!
Hello Crystal ❤ I’m a red heart girl. It softens up after washing. I have 40 year old afghans the grands fight over. I guess we’ll see in 40 years if this new yarn holds up. Love your reviews plz don’t stop them
I’m definitely with u on the white band being to thick. The color, for me, is just fine. It depends on what I’m making whether I use a more vivid or a lighter shade.
Crystal I checked that color as you talked about it and it looks almost like a rich Merlot on their website, not a bleached out maroon. I’m glad you’re doing this review because now I can see the true colors. Thank you.
Oh my gosh love your yarn reviews. I remember when you and Mr. BOD did one pre move to new house ( by years) testing yarns. Color, strength, size. Laughed so hard when yarn would break from y'all's expression's to all but falling outta your chairs with surprise, at things and the talk between y'all. My go to is Red Heart what learned on and still 60 years later loving. Stay Safe and Be Blessed
I am glad you are doing a comparison between these two yarns. Premier and Redheart are two of my favorite yarns companies. I haven't tried any of their ombre yarns as yet, so I really appreciate your opinion on them.❤
Thank you Crystal for your review. Your opinion does matter. I have to agree, Redheart colors are much brighter, which I like. Crystal, please keep doing what your doing. ❤
Sad, none of the yarn you showed even come close to their website. I am so glad you shared as I am a vibrant color gal and would be totally disappointed if I ordered that yarn online.
I agree! It's way too much white. Not needed at all. I'm so glad you shared the muted shades. I like Premier Yarns, but I'm glad to know what I'd be buying if I decide to purchase ombre. ❤ I checked the burgundy online, and it showed way darker than what you got.
I prefer to buy in person just so I don't run into that color problem. 9/10 if I'm making a blanket, I will get red heart ombre! I love how you looked at that white and held it like it was full of disease! Your opinion is usually spot on for me when I check out a yarn you review! Thank you
Crystal, I totally agree with you about the white color it should be taken out. I definitely prefer the more vibrant colors of Red Heart. Great review 😘👍
Red Heart has beautiful ombré yarns, and I prefer the more saturated colors too. The ‘scratchy’ quality is the only off-putting factor; some I can use, some I can’t. I’ve ordered 2 skeins just to try it, because I can always use Premier yarn. This side by side comparison was SO helpful!
Thanks for telling us about the Premier Ombré. I am a big fan of Red Heat ombré too and have made numerous blankets in all their colors. I like the idea of it being a lighter #4 , I live in a warm climate so lighter is fine and I like getting more yardage. I’ll probably try it, thanks!
Thank you for that review, Crystal. Over the years I have learned that you and have about the same taste in yarns. I do have to agree Redheart Hails !!!🏆
I SO agree! Without the "white" - it's gorgeous. I would have to cut the white out too. I have to say you are the kindest reviewer I've seen. You always let us know the information but always go out of your way to be so polite about how you say it. It Gives you mad cred! Lol
Crystal, one of your best qualities is your independent judgment- you are not a shill for any yarn company, which makes your opinion so trustworthy - and so vitally important!!! So I LOVE your yarn reviews! (okay, if you don’t want to do yarn reviews… how about calling them yarn assessments? 😂) I fully agree about the muted burgundy. I pulled up Premier’s website while you were holding up your skein and saw exactly what you meant- they looked like two different colorways! Thank you for such an informative and helpful video! As always, you’re the best! ❤
Thank you for sharing your opinion. I agree with you about he white patch! Not consistent! You did an excellent job of showing the plus and minuses and I so appreciate this review! ❤❤❤
Very informative and I agree with you. Just wish Red Heart wouldn’t be so scratchy to work with. I keep using it though because, as you said, it’s the best flowing ombré ever and it washes and drys beautifully. Thank you for posting. I like the Just Yarn solid colors and was hoping for a nice easy flowing ombré with no abrupt mid row surprise color changes.
I love the saturated colors, too, if I were making something for myself, but if I were wanting a really pretty soft baby blanket, I'd definitely go with the Premier for the muted color palette and the softer feel.
👋🏻 Hi, Crystal! Your opinion MATTERS!! Thank you SO MUCH for your HONEST review!! ♥️♥️ ---- Less saturation = MORE PROFIT Thinner strand = MORE PROFIT More white in skein = MORE PROFIT Conclusion: Premier is FOR PROFIT, NOT QUALITY!
Your opinion means a lot to me. I trust you to always be honest, which you are. And you are always kind and never rude about yarn you just don't care for. You are a kind soul Crystal. God bless
I like the Red Heart Ombré colors too. I have made several blankets using it. The Premire Ombré is pretty too. Sometimes I would like the muted colors it depends on what I’m making. Thank you for sharing your review on these Ombré yarns. I appreciate your opinion. 🧶💜🙏🏻
I checked the Premiere site and fell in love with the same color as you. If I hadn’t seen the yarn you got I might have ordered. The yarn you received did not look anything like the gorgeous, deep burgundy color shown on the site, what a disa
Oh that burgundy yarn does look so much more brilliant on screen than what you showed. They all were more brighter than what the yarns you showed. I would have liked the burgundy on the site .
What you think about yarn means a lot to me I love to crochet you are the best teacher when it comes to crochet and you know a lot about yarn so yes what you think matters I don't like big lighter color it don't look right
I was just looking at the Premiere ombre today and I agree about the "white ". It just looks like too much. Thanks for another great & honest review, Crystal!
So far you are the most thorough and honest content creator doing a comparison of red heart ombre and Premiere ombre. Funny how the affiliates with Premiere are telling red heart to watch out and Premiere is much better. They were just talking about the value for the money the regular price of red heart and not what you can get it for like at Walmart and other places compared to Premiere's price. They never talked about the weight of the yarn. Your opinion matters and that's why I watch your videos!
I bought some Yarn Art Flowers Merino that had a HUGE swath of white. I worked up one row and then cut it out. And YES your opinion matters a lot to me. I get so much information from you that it has made me a better crocheter and saved me a TON of money not buying crappy yarns. Don't discount your years of experience as not valuable or valued. They are.
Your opinion helps me be more knowledgeable about yarn. When I go and look at yarn I also look at some of the pointers you let us know about when making a purchase.
I love Ombré yarn. But since I don’t get out to the stores where I can touch the yarn, I rely on those I trust to give me honest reviews and tips before I buy and try. You are one of those I trust. Thank you for your review!!!
You’re the only person whose opinion matters whenever I want to try a yarn. I think we have a similar feeling about yarns so I stick with you and trust what you say. ❤
Love you, Crystal! I also like (even though it's THIN) the Caron Halo because the ombre effect is pretty close to perfect. I agree with you 100%. You're the best! Hugs
I enjoy your yarn reviews. Sometimes if I’m on the fence about a new yarn, you give me the info I need to decide on my purchase. Your opinions are valuable to me…..thank you for doing them. ❤
love the comparison! i also have a soft spot for ombres. red heart is also, to me, so far, the best ombre yarn that i have found., have a great one! thanks for sharing! 💙🧶
Love your opinion, Crystal. To me it does matter. I agree. I’m very disappointed with the colors. I do wish they were more like red heart because of the yardage, but it is what it is. I’ll probably still purchase the burgundy one because I like that color period. thanks so much for doing this. Hope you’re having a wonderful day.❤
Your opinion does matter! You are one of the foremost crochet teachers on the interwebs and I value your opinion greatly. In addition please don’t stop, doing yarn reviews, I look forward to hearing your opinions.
Thank you ❤️
I wouldn't mind the white if it didn't have so much, it would also be nice if there were a brighter blue in it.
Red Heart Ombre is my fav also.

Thank you for your opinion Crystal! I do appreciate the information you pass on to us. We can then take that information and then test it for ourselves! I’ve learned so much watching you! Thank you!
I like Red Heart Ombré better, better colors and better phasing of colors thanks for showing us 👍🏻
I'm on the website now, and you're right, it is much more vibrant on the computer.
Totally agree with your thoughts on the wide chunk of WHITE in that coral colored yarn! Premier! Listen to this please!
Red Heart's Anemone is beautiful and still my FAVORITE!❤ Love you Crystal!

I agree about the colors not being as bright as pictured online, especially the maroon/burgundy one!
Crystal I checked that color as you talked about it and it looks almost like a rich Merlot on their website, not a bleached out maroon. I’m glad you’re doing this review because now I can see the true colors. Thank you.
Purple is one of my favorite color and that was a beautiful purple

Hi Crystal! I love ombre yarn because I can get all the hues of certain colors. I love the transition parts! Thanks for the information! 💙💙
Red Heart is my favorite as well, but the new ones are going to be nice for spring or babies maybe
When you said it was different photo vs live, I HAD to check....
You weren't kidding!! BIG difference!!😮
I agree
I am glad you are doing a comparison between these two yarns. Premier and Redheart are two of my favorite yarns companies. I haven't tried any of their ombre yarns as yet, so I really appreciate your opinion on them.❤
Thank you Crystal for your review. Your opinion does matter. I have to agree, Redheart colors are much brighter, which I like. Crystal, please keep doing what your doing. ❤

You are absolutely right about that yarn looking much different than what used to be pictured on their sight.
I agree. Red Heart Ombré is my favorite too! The white stripe would bother me.
I prefer to buy in person just so I don't run into that color problem. 9/10 if I'm making a blanket, I will get red heart ombre! I love how you looked at that white and held it like it was full of disease! Your opinion is usually spot on for me when I check out a yarn you review! Thank you
I’ve used Red Heart Ombre for years & love the color transitions & brightness. Thanks for your review! I’ll be sticking with what I love!
I bought 10 of the blue Scuba red heart ombre. Love it.
Crystal, I totally agree with you about the white color it should be taken out. I definitely prefer the more vibrant colors of Red Heart. Great review 😘👍
I love your yarn reviews. You are thorough. You are honest. You talk about all the aspects of the yarn. Please don't stop.❤
Oh my goodness! That burgundy on their site is so lovely and what you have is no way like that! What you have is more terracotta tones. I'm in the UK!

I fully agree about the muted burgundy.
----
Less saturation = MORE PROFIT
Thinner strand = MORE PROFIT
More white in skein = MORE PROFIT
Conclusion: Premier is FOR PROFIT, NOT QUALITY!
I agree with you about the white Crystal. I'm fine with muted colors, but it doesn't need the white .
Your opinion means a lot to me. I trust you to always be honest, which you are. And you are always kind and never rude about yarn you just don't care for. You are a kind soul Crystal. God bless
Thanks for doing the mock up!!! I'm with you, dont like THAT much light color.
Thank you so much for giving your opinion. It means allot to me. ❤
Love Red Heart Ombré! Especially for crochet lap blanket stars, the ombré comes out fantastic!
I like the Red Heart Ombré colors too. I have made several blankets using it. The Premire Ombré is pretty too. Sometimes I would like the muted colors it depends on what I’m making. Thank you for sharing your review on these Ombré yarns. I appreciate your opinion. 🧶💜🙏🏻

Hi Crystal, Thank you for doing this comparison. I love ombres and it’s nice to know what the others are like before buying.
Oh that burgundy yarn does look so much more brilliant on screen than what you showed. They all were more brighter than what the yarns you showed. I would have liked the burgundy on the site .
What you think about yarn means a lot to me I love to crochet you are the best teacher when it comes to crochet and you know a lot about yarn so yes what you think matters I don't like big lighter color it don't look right
You’re killing me with the foreshadowing of your yarn!!!
I was just looking at the Premiere ombre today and I agree about the "white ". It just looks like too much. Thanks for another great & honest review, Crystal!
Hi Crystal, I checked Premiers website and agree with you on the pictures of the colors. Thanks for the info. Be safe
So far you are the most thorough and honest content creator doing a comparison of red heart ombre and Premiere ombre. I totally agree with you about the white in ombré yarn. And what a great idea of cutting it out. You are awesome!!
They are.
I love muted colours. I live your review. Always something to learn from you
Your opinion helps me be more knowledgeable about yarn. When I go and look at yarn I also look at some of the pointers you let us know about when making a purchase.
I went to the web site and you were totally right about the color saturation
I love Ombré yarn. But since I don’t get out to the stores where I can touch the yarn, I rely on those I trust to give me honest reviews and tips before I buy and try. You are one of those I trust. Thank you for your review!!!
I agree with you! That red heart is so easy and fun to work with too! Your opinion means everything 😇
I also like Red Heart Ombre as well. The colors are so much nicer.
love the comparison! i also have a soft spot for ombres. red heart is also, to me, so far, the best ombre yarn that i have found., have a great one! thanks for sharing! 💙🧶
I went and looked at the premier website. You are so right. The color on the website is so different.
You are exactly right. They are showing darker/more saturated on the website. Still some nice colors.
Ooooo new yarn. I just may purchase some because it is thinner and see how it flows
