it takes some experience....acrylic is known for going on vibrant but drying muddy. Over the course of a painting I don't mind some mud, but towards the end of it I try to keep the colors crisp. That means using clean brushes and making sure I get less gray in my mixtures.@@cathyserafinowicz6374
@@cathyserafinowicz6374 yes, but I know when to make the colors less tainted by applying it to the art and not over-blending. This is what makes it muddy. There are times you can use a dirty brush without having it make the color muddy when it dries. Once you put the paint down it can be spread some but not much.
