And, lastly, if the car is American I often admire the solidness of the cars and just how robust they are, even 40+ years after they were originally crafted.

tried to attend a meet last night at a parking garage. as i'm pulling in, i get blue lights telling me to leave. they had gotten reports of burnouts on the roof. 0/10 great car meet.
This is soo helpful. This should be called how to get into a car scene. I can honestly relate to this. I went to my first Car meet last August And it was called "Sumospeed Night Moves" And it was the best experience ever. I didn't exactly make any friends cept for one guy, but the ability to be around other fellow car enthusiasts is a warming feeling since all I am usually around is "normal" people(since I was high schooler). I will honestly say, if you're not an outgoing person, go to a meet, and take pictures cuz some people like that attention and like it when your face just light up at the appearance of their car.
Step 6: STOP walking in front of people taking pictures. 😩😩 As someone who photographs cars, I find it annoying when someone steps in front when I'm taking a photograph.
Never really liked the concept of car meets, especially the talking part... that drives me nuts. So, instead of going to a meet in the city on a typical Friday or Saturday night, I usually end up driving on a dark and empty country road at night. Kind of feel like I'm the only one that does this instead of the other way around. Idk, I guess that's just me.
I do both too, and you could probably find people at car meets willing to do the same. As long as it doesn't turn into more than spirited driving it's great fun to do it with others.
I commented on another vid that I’m about a week fresh into this channel... but again I absolutely LOVE IT! The writing is great and the production is top notch, but the main thing I love about you guys/your channel is how absolutely THOUGHTFUL you are. Keep up the amazing work and thank you for all you do! Fellow car nut, Chris
Am I the only one that stays as far away from car meets as they can? From my experience, if you don't fit the stereotype of your car's class, get ready to be ripped to shreds at a car meet. For example, through high school I drove a 96 Camaro RS since I couldn't afford to maintain a V8 engine. It was auto too since I had to drive through busy city streets daily and a manual would be too much of a hassle in stop and go traffic. Boy let me tell you how many times people stopped to look at my car, realized it wasn't a manual V8 and kept on walking. Car meets aren't about sharing a passion, they're dick measuring contests, it's the sad truth.
I daily a manual and the traffic is never an issue for me and if anyone thinks that traffic is a pain in the ass with a manual transmission they just need to learn how to drive it better
My local meets: Step 1: Have no girlfriend/ ugly girlfriend step 2: Have no success in life and shit talk everyone else Step 3: pick the 1 good thing about your car and use it to justify why your car is better than everyone else. Step 4: pretend to act cool and aloof even though you look unnatural and weird.
That's my local meets too, they've been kicked out of the movie theatre lot more times than not. Lots of uneducated ppl are also into cars, and it gives some scenes a bad rep. I gotta drive 3 hours to south PA or New Jersey to get any cool meets. Upstate NY is weird.
My problem is that I feel inferior if I don't know as much about what I'm talking about as the people I'm talking with, so I naturally end up talking less and less because, let's be real, what do I really have to say that will add to the conversation? I may know the difference between a turbo and a supercharger, or even a screw and a roots type supercharger, but I can only name one brand of turbo (Garrett), and I don't know any of the models they make. I've never done an oil change, or a tire change, I get nervous whenever I have to fuel up myself because where I live, you can't pump your own gas. Hell, I had to go to O'Reily's to replace my mom's rear windshield wiper. Though...to be fair, the guy there couldn't figure out how to do it either. I don't go because I don't feel worthy of going. I've gone to one in the past, and not only did I not feel like I had much of anything to say, I felt that I couldn't back up anything I did say. Who am I to talk about racing techniques when I've never even seen a race track in person?
Stop being a bitch and just do it. Nobody cares. Nobody knows everything. You can learn, and if you arent willing to learn then you arent a car guy/girl. Even if you dknt want to talk, shop up and see some cool cars and learn something. If you dont kno a lot don't pretend to. Simply say "I'm new to cars I dont know a lot" nobody really cares about how much you know or how smart you are. Just. Show. Up. And beyourself, make friends,
You good dawg. I went to an import nationals show in a Volvo and was walking around the japanese section like a kid in a candy shop. No idea what I'm looking at, but damn it's pretty. Drift events etc. Talked to an old lady, like 80+ who was same as me and wanted to buy one of these 600hp monsters. Best interaction I had there. We got voted coolest club, the fuckin 300 people driving volvo dad wagons and sleeper cars. And it really was the coolest selection of people I'd met in a long time. You just go for the cool people, if someone's being a dick just walk off and go to the next car section, or don't talk to them. Odds are they will be much cooler than the dicks who blew you off in the Japanese area, or likewise (no hate to Japanese cars... but lay off the vapes). A lot of car clubs have a real feel to them, especially based on brand... Go to a car meet with a few clubs and you'll know what I'm talking about.
Another tip is if you have a car that isn’t usually seen by other people as exciting but you want to go the car meets anyway, just go to them (if they’re not themed of course ). From my experience people don’t judge others for the cars they bring, they are just happy there are more people coming. You will be surprised how many people will show interest in your car if you start talking to them about theirs.
I think one the biggest tips left out is to respect other people's rides. It's not a fucking car show so you can't touch or sit on/in the cars. I once had to pop out a dent because some drunk bitch was on my fender.
Hell I went to my first car meet which was a cars and coffee I was there with my dad and brother and we spoke to a few guys who were pretty cool mostly guys with muscle cars but we spoke to a guy who has a 1942 V12 Lincoln Continental. It was a nice car. I did like that meet a lot but it just makes me more and more want to start the build on my 1999 Dodge Durango sooner.
Awesome video guys! I have a question im 16 and I love cars im trying to get into the local seen Ive been to two meets but I find people who know each other clump into groups and if you're new its really hard to strike up a conversation cause everyone looks at you like an outcast. Any tips for breaking the ice to meet new people?
Jakeyourface that happened to me. at the meet i went to they had booths where they were selling detailing supplies and i talked to one of the guys buying something. i complimented his car and we talked about detailing. you can do something similar using your specific car interests.
Honestly, for my area its the same but just go up and join the conversation. introduce yourself and just start talking. Ask about other local meets and if they are in any local groups. just like the videos said people are usually very friendly and like to talk.
Jakeyourface I would say if some one gets there after you and you like their car ask them questions about it they will probably walk to their friends if regulars at it and it will be a little less awkward then just introduce yourself politely also your pic is a subbie. maybe look for some subi meets around you that way they would all have a common interest with you. hope it helped :)
It's really simple. Just go up to the group, ask if any of them own one of the cars they are standing next to, compliment how nice it looks, hope it turns into a conversation
A car meet benefit is getting a girlfriend who is a car girl. Thats why im bringing Midas, my medical truck, to car meets. She is a big beast, emergency amber lights, LED light bars, reinforced bumpers, medical logos. Its used for helping first responders reach their destination without having to go through traffic. She has a 6.5" suspension lift. All season tires. She is ready to go through hell if she needs to. She carries medical tools. Work tools because she obviously has to help fellow drivers. and a winch to help out the guys who are able to stick themselves to something and not get out. Midas can attract all the attention. And no, I dont have small balls. I will be taking advanced medical classes. Im proud to be the owner of this truck. Ima start a website of the crew im starting that includes joining the medical field. Its either you help the people or get the fuck out. She also carries a Cummins Turbo Diesel engine so you can expect a hell of a lot of noise. Im currently working on a new exhaust system. But take the tip of getting a girl. Ride in paradise brothers and sisters. And be safe on thise roads, if not, you may find Midas coming to the rescue.
Good tip if you are an outcast or new to your scene is to get on a bunch of forums about your car, like Volvo has swedespeed, volvospeed, matthews volvo site, etc... every community stays in touch through forums and internet if you have similar cars, even if you don't own one you can still go on and talk to people about them, and they will be much more inclined to talk to you about their cars after typing with you a few times.
I feel like every time I go to car meet and start taking about other drivers cars or projects nothing is ever good enough. I feel people are trying way to hard to act cool. I have yet to meet someone who just loves there car and is happy with there build and generally content. I mean seriously you spend 5-10k on top of purchase price of the car and you going to start complaining about it after I told you how much I like your car? Please...😑😑
+Ryan Conklin Sometimes when people complain about their cars it's a means of trying to be humble. It may be overcompensating, but again, social interactions are hard.
Ryan Conklin I do that all the time.. first thing when people say ," wow nice car it must be so fast," I'll insist on it's not fast at all and the real version of my car is the Z.
Jon .D I guess more what I'm getting at is if some appreciates your car and time you took to make it yours I gotta respect that. But people who clearly call my car something it's not I'll educate them.
As a 15 year old car nerd, this helps a lot. I want to buy and modify my own cars but can't because of my parents(anyone else?) A car meet can help me meet new people as well as see and experience things I never have before. Thank you. I just now subscribed!
Yeah I used to go to car meets a ton. Very interesting place indeed. From my perspective if you and you're car don't fit into the current trends you might as well stay home or go for a nice drive. To much drama at recent car shows to make it worth while. 6 years ago they were decent. But now I'd rather go out and drive some nice roads, then sit in a parking lot for hours doing nothing. BTW I don't have a car that fits in with the "current" trend.
theyre great around Vancouver. Last meet I went to there were muscle car guys, guys with old british sports cars, ricers, stanced cars, tuners, a couple pretty "regular" family vans with nice wheels... Everything and everyone's got a smile on their face. Its fantastic
simply ask others about their car. generally speaking (unless they have a really nice Supra and get questions all the time) they will be MORE than happy to inform you about their vehicle. This is my favorite part about meets at least.
I think it's great! You can talk and ask them about some parts you do not know if you're new to cars like me. You can learn a lot from these guys cause they put a lot of time, effort and money to cars..they love to explain stuff.
Great vid! The meeting season has started again after the winterbreak. Lovely that all those cars are coming out of their winter storage and back on the road. It's absolutely glorious!!! Representing from Belgium.
Hope this story of my worst experience isn't too long. Was on a road trip in my S2000, and at the time ~350 miles from home parked in a walmart figuring out where my GF and I are going to camp that night when a guy pulls up and asks about my S2000 and really loves it and tells me in just a couple hours there's always a car meetup at the home depot at like 9 o clock. I'm kinda intrigued so we go eat and hang out in walmart awhile till the time is right. Show up to a group of about 7-8 cars and people gathered around talking. My gf and I get out and walk up to this group and absolutely NO acknowledgement, nobody, dared look, glance, smile, nothing. I'm like uhh ok this is f'in weird. so I try to open with a joke " I drove all the way from Ohio and this is it?" hoping that joke would start some friendly conversation... well no, nobody even looked at us but just a couple people lowly mumbled about it being early, still nobody made eye contact or talked directly to us. What a joke of a car community that was, so we just left because obviously we weren't welcome.
underrated channel, super amazing quality. keep it up! can't remember the last time i sat and watched a video all the way through and never lost interest.
I did exactly this, now i can say i helped organize one of the biggest jdm meets in Dubai last month and anytime I show up at a car meet people recognize me and say hi all the time.
I've been watching you guys for years now you need to revisit this concept during a pandemic it is needed in the community car meets don't exactly exist anymore their virtual which is not okay
The Meets in Az are wild. We have Park N' Chill, then afterwards at around 9pm we set out and start doing burnouts around the city and donuts in abandon facilities. Shit's lit.
I just went to one and it was really small and I was extremely introverted, I just stood there and looked at the cars, I hated feeling like I couldn't talk to anyone, plus I can't drive so I don't have a car and that made me feel even less comfortable
Tip: if it's a night meet, bring snacks, battery pack for your phone, and a sweatshirt. Some meets will have food trucks, but be prepared for the wildly expensive prices. It gets cold fast when your at a night meet so stay warm too lol.
Gears and Gasoline I'm new to the channel , I love cars but always thought the car scene here in Lynchburg was dead besides driver moto sports where and when are the meets ? I always see cars here and there on wards rd but never know where the meets are besides the casual gathering at sheetz.
I bought a camera and started taking pictures of everyones car, no matter what it was and posting them in the facebook group, helped me get to know a bunch of people. People started to know me and I had no idea who they where. Now I have a small group of best friends and you know what, 2 of them legit came over to help me drop my transmission to swap out the clutch.
more like step 1: own a cool car (must be RWD or AWD, must cost a fortune, must have over 300hp etc) because if you show in FWD stock car (even if its Eclipse 2g GS) they will just laugh you out and tell you to park your car somewhere else.
Hot Cosby just go. fuck what people say. be happy with what you have if it fits your purpose. they aren't paying your bills or buying your car so tell them to put their two cents elsewhere.
i'll show up to the same meet in my stepfather's 2002 Taurus. it leaks oil, it has 190K miles on it, there's a lot of electrical gremlins, and it's so rusty that the wheel arch and the rockers do not exist anymore. you'll no longer be the worst car there
jarreddizzle honestly why go to a meet knowing negative energy is going to be shot at you this is why people don’t want to go. It’s not a car show but it’s treated like one.
Just gather your friends go hang out. drive or park who cares what the next guy has yeah it’s cool to look at but at the end of the day look at your car and picture your goal.
Met a crush at a car meet and she drove a VW Jetta. We talked very little but it went nowhere until I just got busy with life and stopped going. I was getting ready for a grave yard shift was filling up with gas and saw a car like hers and sure enough I see her and she noticed my bucket dsm😂. Just a friendly wave and we went on our ways. It's funny how we connect people to the cars they drive and we don't even need to say hi lol
As someone who has been in the scene for 5 years now, all of these rules still apply. But don’t expect people to be amazed by your ride unless you have something like nitrous, wide wheels, turbo, super charger, etc. always keep it looking good, and not like shit. Also, people will always talk trash, so learn to just let it go. But honestly, when you take something that’s different like a swapped car, or a super clean car, people will come, and take pictures of it. Thank god both my cars are very unique, so i always get people coming my way, and asking what i did, and how i did it. Btw i live In the LA area, it’s really tough here because everyone is very judgmental, but at the same time, the attention you get is also amazing.
Kadyn Johnson also makes the driving session boring because the cops will hang around pulling everyone over for no reason, hard having 12 plus cars all with hps from 300-600 going the speed limit with a cruiser to your left
I'm an introverted person and I'm not good at talking to people. But, I like cars and not just want to watch videos on RUclips about them. I want to see what meets are all about. This video makes me less nervous about car meets. Thanks.
Hey that car wash is in my home town! Hopefully when I get my car back together I'll be able to make some meets, maybe meet you guys too! Cool vid as always!
My tips for those young enthusiasts who don't have cars is to bring a camera 📸 or just take pictures with your phone and ask questions about how to get into the car community or what a good car to buy for an enthusiast that type of questions that a real enthusiast will really take the time to appreciate and help with trust me.. Other wise smart up with modifications.. Good luck 🤞🏼
Step 1 check the landscape: There's nothing here in Philippines but riced-up civic sedans and econo boxes driven by fat, edgy, vapers who's trying to be lucky on every single female creature that crossest their path. Will still fit-in tho if only I asked my dad for a base model Lancer. Step 2 prepare your car: done. Ez Step 3 prepare yourself: You mean I get to interact with another human being??? Are you mad!? Conclusion: it's hard to be a Carguy and an introvert at the same time. Especially if you're in ph who's car culture is nothing but brag-fest and nothing else.
***** It sucks for me but I am partly to blame for building a sleeper. I'm dropping a 77mm Holset turbo into my 93 camry, but obviously being a fucking camry no one is going to ask me to pop my hood. Just gonna have to smoke them on the street. What are you building?
***** free life sucks bro. I thought it would be fun but it's fucking not. I drive semis around the country and I basically live in my tractor while I keep my car at my parents. I miss the days when I could come home every night and have the weekend off. I'm about to switch to a local company just for that.
The local car meet I know is great, it welcomes literally everything, I even saw a couple of bikes there. Everything from a hot rod to an RX-3 wagon, from a Toyota Starlet with stickerbomb to a Chrysler 300 letter car
The massive Import and Performance show at Carlisle is fast approaching you guys should shoot a video of the event. It had well over 2000 cars even in the rain last year.

same haha
Step 8: Don't mow over crowds with a Mustang
Step 9: don't say overused jokes
I personally own a mustang, but i think this joke is still funny. Its funny watching people run into crowds due to cheap power and not respecting it
step 11: respecting all type of cars and not being "that guy"

Don't be that guy revving and doing burn outs
There's always "that guy" who does this, and then the police come, blockade every conceivable parking lot exits and impound everyone :(

Mike Arredondo coughing ( haggard garage)
I'd rev 2 or 3 times, but I'd only do a burnout at the strip.
The point is to rev, but burnouts are to show offy
Step 6: Vape.
Step 6 is especially important if you drive a Subaru or Volkswagen
Bonus Step: ask people what flavor they are vaping
Quinn Kirlew step 7: don't touch people's shit, I saw this dude open the doors to this guy's brz and straight up hopped in
The California Garage so much for manners
haha i agree but sometimes you can but once you develop a good friendship :)
Quinn Kirlew step 7. lose virginity
I once simply commented on a dude's modded r32 with 'nice r32 man' , and he looked at me like I was some alien and said 'uh huh' and walked off.
maybe it wasn't an r32

It sucks cause I'm the only kid along with my friend at my school who is into cars. It disappoints me.
JDMdrift3r Damn sucks
Same here man. I'm a sophomore and my friends a senior. Once he graduates I'll be the only car guy at my school.
Duuude that is the same exact thing at my school... Well, at least we're the only real enthusiasts
Or live country so desolated that you have only 1 or 2 car meets in year and they are over 300 miles away from you
JDMdrift3r atleast u have ur friend😂 I am seriously the only one in my school and friends outside school thst is into cars, rip me
Bro, this may be a bit weird but your voice is amazing. Made this video so much easier to watch
Aidan McSPadden Dude I love you
And you actually reply to comments! Subscribed
But wait .... Do you need a car to go to car meet?
+X Blocky No, but if you go without a car, don't be bragging to people about your 900hp Supra you left at home.
But I had to leave it at home cause I'm building the engine.
X Blocky overnight parts from Japan
SorryCounter lmao😂😂😂
X Blocky not really a nice k mart bike would be nice
Step 6: buy a holden and then deal with the people surrounding your car asking what it is

Step 6: buy a sick vape
and listen to chillstep
Gotta have those phatty vape clouds
Only applies to Subaru drivers
Step 6: Don't have depression or anxiety

Ya Depression and anxiety kill any chance of making new car friends.

Night moves is fucking dope. I go there all the time.
Idk, I guess that's just me.
itsyaboybob I do the same thing
itsyaboybob I take empty streets and try to find better ways around the city
I do both
I do both too, and you could probably find people at car meets willing to do the same. As long as it doesn't turn into more than spirited driving it's great fun to do it with others.
Both are good, I like going to meets because of friends and the knowledge you can get from different cars.
Step 6: Don’t end up owing Dom a 10 second car
Buying comics and building pcs are definitely not expensive enough for me, but that's not the reason why I am a car enthusiast.
+AERoVALKYRiE it was mostly a joke :)
Is commissioning Sonic hentai expensive enough?
can I still turn up to a car meet in a stolen car? :/
You could, but you better leave once that "one guy" starts doing burnouts at gets the cops called in him.
aЯヤ maher im all about a good car history!
Bryan White haha, true dat. car has 3 previous owners, 2 now in jail :/
Make sure the guy you stole it from isn’t at the meet
Um... sure
finally some sw20 love! lol.
another great video boys, keep the good stuff coming. i shared it with my local group!
Great video and great suggestions Ben! Now my weekend is complete after watching a new Gears and Gasoline video!
+Carlos Orozco Sorry it wasn't out yesterday!
Gears and Gasoline No need to apologize at all guys. Just supporting another great RUclips channel. Have a good night!
Leave immediately if anyone at the meet is vaping
+Kevin Tawes you're not going to be able to go to many meets then
haha so be it then
Leave the windows up, problem solved!
sooo, basically don't go...
But why do you care?
I need a girl like the one at 1:09 cause damn
Ethan Thomas looks like a scion to me. Seems pretty easy
Looks like RHDKev's girl, her IG: @prbeauty
tired hero meh
Ethan Thomas We all do man, we all do.
Ethan Thomas , that's a guy taking a picture mate
I commented on another vid that I’m about a week fresh into this channel... but again I absolutely LOVE IT!
The writing is great and the production is top notch, but the main thing I love about you guys/your channel is how absolutely THOUGHTFUL you are. Keep up the amazing work and thank you for all you do!
Fellow car nut,
Chris
LogicalSense Lol you talk likr a legend speaking... props
LogicalSense Yeah I'm late, but you do legit talk like a legend
Dick measuring contest lmao...
Well duh. Is it really controversial to say car enthusiasm is largely driven by high performance?
My local meets:
Step 1: Have no girlfriend/ ugly girlfriend
step 2: Have no success in life and shit talk everyone else
Step 3: pick the 1 good thing about your car and use it to justify why your car is better than everyone else.
Oof. That sounds toxic.
Shit do we live in the same pit of a town? Its like that here too
My problem is that I feel inferior if I don't know as much about what I'm talking about as the people I'm talking with, so I naturally end up talking less and less because, let's be real, what do I really have to say that will add to the conversation?
The cinematic shots within this video remind me of Underground 2. :)
Forgot “if you here a big cam rolling in everyone must immediately stop everything and stare”
This sounds like a tutorial for some kind of car game
tfw when you're going to a car meet but this video just popped up in your notifs before you left.
best tip for people that are bad at conversation, just ask questions, everyone is happy to talk about there car (but don't get annoying)
I love the whole purpose of this channel. It‘s so much more than just cars.
Jakeyourface talk to them about their car and ask them questions
It's really simple. Just go up to the group, ask if any of them own one of the cars they are standing next to, compliment how nice it looks, hope it turns into a conversation
This channel is criminally under-subscribed . Best camera work in the game , keep up the great work
A car meet benefit is getting a girlfriend who is a car girl. And be safe on thise roads, if not, you may find Midas coming to the rescue.
dudes like this are why car meets are worth it
Went to my first car meet about 3 weeks ago, had a great experience and learned new things I can do to my car
Me: *looks at my prius
Als me: _you aint gonna cut it bud_
Cars are never done. You are seeing it with fresh eyes. I'm seeing every rock chip, scratch, and unfinished desires.
What do you have?
theyre great around Vancouver. Last meet I went to there were muscle car guys, guys with old british sports cars, ricers, stanced cars, tuners, a couple pretty "regular" family vans with nice wheels... Everything and everyone's got a smile on their face. Its fantastic
yea dude, awsome video!
too bad i have a auto supra haha. the hate is real
11months later and I converted to manual haha
Michael Hall yea the hate for auto trans is unreal
Better than no supra 😂
what's the deal with manual drivers hating on autos. just let the driver drive whatever they want to drive. it's not your car or anything
simply ask others about their car. generally speaking (unless they have a really nice Supra and get questions all the time) they will be MORE than happy to inform you about their vehicle. This is my favorite part about meets at least.
track days!
+T-WRX We're gonna make it happen, Chuck
I think it's great!
You can talk and ask them about some parts you do not know if you're new to cars like me.
You can learn a lot from these guys cause they put a lot of time, effort and money to cars..they love to explain stuff.
Tip: if you see any mustang *leave as soon as you see it*
What a joke of a car community that was, so we just left because obviously we weren't welcome.
underrated channel, super amazing quality. keep it up! can't remember the last time i sat and watched a video all the way through and never lost interest.
why is every mr2 red
Eddie Fassnacht because red paint adds 300kw
TOYOTA made a shit load of red mr2s compared to other colors
it looks like a ferrari to non car guys
I did exactly this, now i can say i helped organize one of the biggest jdm meets in Dubai last month and anytime I show up at a car meet people recognize me and say hi all the time.
4:51 Wtf is that a prius?!
I've been watching you guys for years now you need to revisit this concept during a pandemic it is needed in the community car meets don't exactly exist anymore their virtual which is not okay
too bad there are no car meets in my country :(
ok m8. what country
ok m8. what country are. you from. im.from singapore. even tho mods regulations here are strict there are tons of car meets
Same
where are you? North Korea?
bepis Are you polish?
The Meets in Az are wild. We have Park N' Chill, then afterwards at around 9pm we set out and start doing burnouts around the city and donuts in abandon facilities. Shit's lit.
3:15
i build PCs :D sold my first gaming pc for my car haha
I've been watching your channel for a while, you guys fail to unimpress! The video production quality is always outstanding! keep it up
oooooo reilyyyyyy
*auto parts YOWW*
This is such a perfect video honestly
I just went to one and it was really small and I was extremely introverted, I just stood there and looked at the cars, I hated feeling like I couldn't talk to anyone, plus I can't drive so I don't have a car and that made me feel even less comfortable
Liam Gideon 😂 bring a friend or a sibling next time. Doesn’t have to be strictly about cars just hang out like you would any other times.
Just subbed after watching 2 video's seriously love watch you guys are teaching to the car communities all around the world!!
Step 6: avoid vapers
Tip: if it's a night meet, bring snacks, battery pack for your phone, and a sweatshirt.
Some meets will have food trucks, but be prepared for the wildly expensive prices. It gets cold fast when your at a night meet so stay warm too lol.
lol i saw the tags and liberty shirts and i couldnt help but wonder is this near LU and if so whats the car scene like?
zach lord Indeed! the LU car scene is very much like what you just saw. Some of this was from a meet at LU yesterday.
The shots in the parking garage was at Liberty. I made an edit of the meet if you want to see how the car scene is!
Gears and Gasoline I'm new to the channel , I love cars but always thought the car scene here in Lynchburg was dead besides driver moto sports where and when are the meets ? I always see cars here and there on wards rd but never know where the meets are besides the casual gathering at sheetz.
Also very interested, saw a Lamborghini at Walmart the other day hahaha but I hope there are meets cause I'll be there next fall
you dont know how much step 4 is accurate and how much it helped me out in the meets I went to, thank you so much for this video :)
and the fact that I made lots of awesome friends in those meets !!
I like to hear ricers talk about their vehicles. Who heard the guy converted his FWD to Twin Turbo😂😂🤣😂
I bought a camera and started taking pictures of everyones car, no matter what it was and posting them in the facebook group, helped me get to know a bunch of people. People started to know me and I had no idea who they where. Now I have a small group of best friends and you know what, 2 of them legit came over to help me drop my transmission to swap out the clutch.
step 1: own a car /:
Nope
I have a shitty car
You dont need one
more like step 1: own a cool car (must be RWD or AWD, must cost a fortune, must have over 300hp etc) because if you show in FWD stock car (even if its Eclipse 2g GS) they will just laugh you out and tell you to park your car somewhere else.
@@jizzyg1559 dont know what car meets you're going to but I'm just gonna say you're talking out your ass
Do you film anything else? You're literally the best camera man and narrater I've ever seen.
But what if my car happens to be a 2005 base model Sable?
Anybody notice doitwithdan at 1:34 in the 'blow me' shirt?
1st2b3rd yeah lol i saw that too
shout out to the mr2!! oh and the owner of course.. my favorite car that I've ever owened
All this is too much work for too little reward.
Btw i live In the LA area, it’s really tough here because everyone is very judgmental, but at the same time, the attention you get is also amazing.
why are burnouts and reving bad? please explain
Kadyn Johnson Because it attracts the attention of cops and make it harder to host a car meet there the next time l.
akakiki4111 oh right, thank you
Kadyn Johnson also makes the driving session boring because the cops will hang around pulling everyone over for no reason, hard having 12 plus cars all with hps from 300-600 going the speed limit with a cruiser to your left
I'm an introverted person and I'm not good at talking to people. But, I like cars and not just want to watch videos on RUclips about them. I want to see what meets are all about. This video makes me less nervous about car meets. Thanks.
step six: buy a vape, it looks like every car guy vapes
Ricky only ricers do
Hey that car wash is in my home town! Hopefully when I get my car back together I'll be able to make some meets, maybe meet you guys too! Cool vid as always!
That supra with the supreme shit is so stupid
The red is a nice look, but the supreme logo ruined it, they sell overpriced garbage
Ez
Step 3 prepare yourself: You mean I get to interact with another human being??? Are you mad!?
Conclusion: it's hard to be a Carguy and an introvert at the same time. Especially if you're in ph who's car culture is nothing but brag-fest and nothing else.
Maximus Galvani Giovani same here in Indonesia... I rather car meet with only my group of real friends...
Very thought out video and great quality!! 👏🏻
That's not how it is at Denver car meets. Almost everyone out here is a douchebag and wont take a second look at you unless you have a WRX or better.
ChaotiX thats the exact reason im getting a 300zx no one spots those
Atleast you have car meets
The local car meet I know is great, it welcomes literally everything, I even saw a couple of bikes there. Everything from a hot rod to an RX-3 wagon, from a Toyota Starlet with stickerbomb to a Chrysler 300 letter car
Somebody actually brought a prius to that meet. wtf
The massive Import and Performance show at Carlisle is fast approaching you guys should shoot a video of the event. It had well over 2000 cars even in the rain last year.
Why would someone put a supreme sticker on there supra, That is so stupid
surpluscollector some people like to name their cars
surpluscollector dope if you ask me
Step 4
Fang K. Lmfao
New driver here. Thanks dude for encouraging me to meet some new people from the same passion.
