This was the performance I went to - Casey was honestly incredible, "standby" doesn't do her credit, she owns the role in her own right and I'm so lucky we got to see her. I saw Ashleigh Gray back in 2015 and whilst she was outstanding (plus it was the first time I'd seen the show so I had nothing to compare), this was different level. I felt every emotion going throughout the whole performance from her. In fact, the whole cast blew me away, to the extent I'm running out of superlatives!
Sent an email to your team about a potential trade for this show, hope to hear back soon. Phenomenal performance from Casey! Very excited to see how she develops in the role 💚
How does this production work with the same actor as Dr. Dillamond and The Wizard? These two characters usually are both on stage together during one scene right?
The only scene the two characters is when Elphaba has the Wizard release the flying monkeys. Dillamond doesn’t speak in this scene, so a member of the ensemble plays him :)
recently, the London orchestra and the UK Tour orchestra have been on a competition as to who can rush defying gravity the most! In fact, the London orchestra made Alexia have the shortest "IT'S MEEEEEEE!" ever, like a few days ago
@@TimeToBlowYourMind Istg ppl should complain about it, like, directly to the theatre! It removes so much from the scene. The "IT'S MEEEEE" should last until or almost until the lift has completely risen to its first position. Like when Idina was there - they'd let her hold the note until the lift was about a few metres from its first position, and it finisshed rising to it with "everyone deserves the chance to FLY!", that's a good way to execute it - but for example in Idina's Royal Variety performance, the lift rose faster and it was done rising right after Idina stopped holding the "IT'S MEEEEEEE!". That's also a good way to execute it. but nowadays the lift is STILL halfway when the orchestra abruptly stops it, it feels like it's shoved in our faces, because there's no build-up anymore. The scream synching to to the lift rising created a build-up that climaxed into the first line of the flying part. If the first line starts with the lift halfway up... The build-up doesn't work anymore
Fully agreed they rush. But alexia starts her preflight lines soooo late too. She takes a big pause to like get herself into the lift before she starts “it’s not her” vs every other elphaba I’ve seen/heard
@@LukeCasey-i3n there are a few videos where it’s very obvious that she (Alexia) is ready to go. Idk why she waits. You’ll notice she begins her lines at the exact moment in every recording lol

I wholeheartedly agree! 💚
She's settling into this role nicely, I love the bright vibrato😍
Her vibrato is gorgeous. Really excited to see how she grows into this role!
FINALLY AN AUDIO OF CASEY
One of the best ground portions ever
Hard agree
Love her! She’s SO amazing! Dear OZ! 💚
Can we appreciate Madame Morrible aka Donna Berlin - sublime 💚
Yes we can 💚

Hi! Just wondering if you heard back and how quickly? I sent an email about this performance but as I’m new to trading I have nothing to trade 🤣
I’m sorry, but is this Natalie Andreou’s clone? 😍😍😍
omg i didn’t even think of this but it’s so true!!

@@TimeToBlowYourMind That makes a lot of sense, thanks for explaining!

I agree, they need to slow down. I really miss the longer “it’s meeeee” from the old days.
I am really curious about what the need is to blast through this song. I just don’t understand.
