this can also be applied to more natural things like mountains, cliffs, trees, plants, oceans pretty neat and cool to have a process like shown in this video when building, especially with environmental storytelling
This video is art No joke this is the best tutorial I’ve seen on youtube ever, not just on texturing on minecraft but this is purely perfection! You explained basic concepts, moved on to subtle examples on how, where and what to do to apply these concepts, moved to an applicable example of these concepts that were explained, and finally advised viewers to actually not limit themselves creatively as this is a guide rather than a precise process I did not expect to watch a video this good ever, but it looks like you have earned a like, a subscriber and my full respect
I will say that despite my preference to use Mizuno's 16 Craft for it's variety in glass pane designs, among other things... Default really does it best in terms of the sheer variety of ways to texture landscapes and walls, especially of the gray type.
Wow this is really useful video, i would love to meet you in game and teach me your ways of texturing, looking forward on watching your content in the future. Very detail and well done.
A good tip I'd say to people is you can have purely random texture & still have it be great, for example smooth quartz, quartz block & quartz's bricks are great for a painted brick look I do this often with the unpainted brick being a mix of brown mushroom block, packed mud & mud bricks. Gradients are great but not always needed. Also, if you do interiors, have 2 block thick walls' minium so you don't end up with moss blocks or gradient blocks within the inside wallpapers can be great or just like I said a painted look.
When I clicked on this, I was expecting a video about game-dev, not game-play. Though, I suppose Minecraft's creative mode could be considered a limited form of level editor.
Okay seriously what is with minecraft builders and using MUD BRICKS with regular bricks. They do not fit together in any real way, please keep them seperate I swear to god. I was just interested in the gradient, but please, for my sanity, just stop overusing the mud bricks. Good job on the video, though.
Underrated video
tbf for my standard this is already really good :) thanks!
totally agree!!

That was so worth watching. It's incredibly useful. I have subscribed.
Your voice is so calming. I've actually been having issues making detailed builds and this helped so much

*Lovely*, I'm here before this blows up 🎉 lol
beautiful vid
Can you make a hardcover series and love your Building
I feel like this would only work for fairly large builds, builds that fit under a 15 by 15 by 15 cube would look weird
You're right, the smaller a build is the harder it becomes
Its still possible, but you have to figure out how you should go about it
never thought i'd learn color theory in Minecraft but here we go
Nice video!
Now make this but with depth!
Quioning is the name of using larger bricks on the corner of a building. Eg. How you used standstone
Oh, that's interesting
aww love your videos :D
soo creative!
This is awesome! 🎉
I like the graffiti this is cool
is there some kind of guide for blocks that are similar for texturing
Pinterest maybe?
great video
I like your accent where are you from? Great video btw
I'm from Germany
@@wolfbiom I knew it after the first sentence!
I alway have a problem finding a group of blocks to mix up...
Nice
have to get used to the voice but.. its a graet video
haha thanks. I try my best with my pronunciation
@@wolfbiom it sounds pretty great to me; you do a good job and I can understand everything! :) what's your native language?
@@noxave it's german
I must admit, graffiti is not something you see every day in Minecraft...
The use might be limited, but it's fun to build
I've been proved wrong.
ur accent is so pretty!!
You talk like you have braces on 24/7
I also talk like that, thanks for the texturing tutorial 👍
Are you German

can you please add captions, i have no idea what you're trying to say
I dont really like texturing
Shhhh
Builds look a lot better with it
@@CardensRoom Only if its done with randomization technique on specific types of blocks (stone, grass, paths)
That’s crazy that u think that, so u think just blank walls look better?? Also not trying to be rude just genuinely curious
that's okay :)

I just love mud bricks, you don't have to though :)
