@@alterego157 Unfortunately, unlike Israel who is arguably one of the world's military superpowers, Hamas does not have the luxury of precision guided weapons. Most of their weapons are homemade and what amount to glorified fireworks. So to say that they are "indiscriminately" targeting civilians is misleading at best and more likely just an outright lie. If you have even a rudimentary knowledge of the situation you must be well aware that they have no capabilities of hitting a particular "target". They essentially just shoot them off and let them land where they land. Now... ISRAEL on the other hand has weapons so advanced that they can practically target an individual ant on an individual rock YET they murderer dozens if not hundreds of women and children?!!!!! There was a time in history where even the enemy had respect for each other and they settled their dispute on the battle field. Today we have dogs who sit in the comfort of their offices and at the push of a button levels an apartment building of women, children and families. Meanwhile the world sits and watches, social media silences our voices. Is this the world we want our kids to grow up in?

Let me break this down. Gaza(a territory with self control) fires a rocket at Israeli civilians and Bernie Sanders says Israel can't shoot back at the terrorist that tired to shoot at their own citizens.

Then you shouldn't. If someone was firing missiles on a daily basis into your hometown, what would you do, just let them destroy your hometown, or in this case, your country. Are you aware of all the Hamas weaponry throughout Gaza and all the tunnels and underground weapons caches. These tunnels run all throughout Gaza and through borders of Lebanon. They use the people of Gaza (Palestinians) as human shields. Before Israel bombs or goes into clear any site out, they give plenty of warning to the people of Gaza so they can get out of the way, but some people won't leave and hide their families inside the building they know will be bombed in order to destroy Hamas' weapons of mass destruction.

Bernie Sanders' speech in Congress was worth listening to. He should get a standing ovation for this one. He knows his stuff and speaks with conviction, clarity and compassion for the downtrodden innocent civilians who lost their lives in this latest outburst of hostilities. How long can 2 million people live under the current conditions that exist in Gaza? The day to day struggle to eke out an existence is not conducive to progress. What hope have they got to live a so called normal life? The problem won't go away just because there is a ceasefire. In view of the fact that half the Palestinian population consists of young people, something needs to be done to improve their access to things that we in developed countries take for granted, clean water, basic necessities, mobility. It's a human rights issue.
