Shawn and Phantom are an amazing racing duo, they can just chill, have fun, and have amazing stories to share. Plus, they have moments were it seems like it's two brothers hanging out because of their long friendship. I just rewatched the whole Street Outlaws series again for probably the 10th time no joke. These guys are amazing and have impacted my life forever. Mr. Ellington(yea I did that), thank you for helping me. You have showed me that you can be successful and still be the same person you were before success on TV. You and your team are like family to me, always on my tv and even my kids know you by name.

I loved the discussion on where and why you were making the modifications to the 55. I really enjoyed seeing the car on the dyno, and the improvements with each run. I was also alarmed, when I saw the sparks on the first run. Thanks for explaining that the problem was the alternator rpm.
The gauges in the car are dope!. Clean as hell.. car is amazing all around!.. glad you guys decided to fix this one.. by far my favorite out of all shawns rides. The new Ford is sweet too..

Its been cold raining here in northern Virginia today so my girlfriend and I been playing RUclips thru the big screen all day. Earlier we watched Pops bounce around like a pin ball machine in this very car and for some reason we kept re playing it cracking up 🤣🤣 now that car is finished and he's ok it's just funny to watch him bounce 🤣♥️
Man that 55 is beautiful and I completely agree about the turbos and a 400 in it. Your dad did a beautiful job on it. And I love the regal as well.

That is a true street car and after the crash to see it where it is now congrats I know how much SHAWN loves that car wish there could have been a way to put a bigger procharger on it but if the new wastegates work and tc work it's gonna be a beast just don't let Shawn's pops drive it 😀

55 has come a long way I have always been a Chevy guy but I’m very interested in in 150 build you guys are currently doing is that starting with the basic? I think they called the 5 L coyote engine.
Car is looking awesome, impressed at how efficiently it makes power. Love the fact that you guys are keeping this as a usable street car.
Great video Phantom. My Wife says Weight means reliability also. Big men are alot more reliable than a skinny little feller…lol So happy Shawn is getting his dream build. A 4000lb street car that makes 1700hp is no joke if you can make it hook. Love that Shawn went back to leaf springs. I like seeing a fast Leaf Spring car that can go A to B..

Would love to see you guys run a D&D (Drag & Drive) with this car. Pretty sure Sick Week runs at a time before NPK runs their first race
@32:40 although you are correct that 10 micron is the finer pore size, you want the 100 before the pump to catch all the big crud before it gets to the pump and then a 10 micron before the injectors, after the pump.
You want the least amount of restriction on the suction side of the pump, that's why the larger the feed line from tank/sump to the filter/pump inlet.
Love that 55. Can't wait to see y'all run it on the street now that you got it tuned.

I run a Gear Vendors Inc OD in my 72 Chevelle SS with a 400 and absolutely love it always been a 400 guy but my cars are all street cars I enjoy driving so always hated hitting the road and just seeing the rpms screaming at me Gear Vendors really made the 400 a great multi purpose transmission
The ‘55 is a work of art…top to bottom and front to back is just beautiful! A gear vendor can take the abuse..Steve Morris and Tom Bailey run them in their street cars…it would be cool to see you guys run Alex Taylor’s ‘55 some day…y’all should Rocky Mountain race week.

Uh, Alex Taylor’s ‘55 is a 6 second street able full tube chassis RACE car. Totally different league vs Shawn’s VERY heavy STREET car. I’m pretty sure Shawn would be happy with a sub 6.0 1/8th mile out of the car which would make this a low to mid 9 second 1/4 mile street car.
Alex’s 55 has a better chassis under it than the npk car does and capable of making twice the power that 427 does
A lot of where these guys attend is not always up to them, not their first choice. They are dedicated to pilgrims studios and have to go where they tell them to go. Lots of conflicting dates.
Yeaaaaahhh!!!! Damn this car just got upgraded! This is a dream of a street car: A/C, twin turbo, full interior, big beautiful glass, 1,700 hp interstate cruiser that will bust your ass! This was already my favorite car and y'all went and made it better!!
Street cars have evolved so much in the last 25 years. I grew up in northern Indiana if someone had a car with 400 or 500 horsepower when I was a teenager they had a hotrod. I can't wait to see the 55 race with this new setup
Same here. We used to street race back in the mid to early 90s and if you had a 12 or 13 second street car you were doing great. We did have a couple track cars that would show up and they were high 10 second cars and were top dogs back then.

Gee I hope you bring the big tyre street stuff back. I would love to see some variety on the show. Like if you had both the OG and the 55 at race night and we could see you race different styles of car, that would be awesome.
Or even just 1 night with the street cars and the next week with the race cars.

Hey phantom tell Shawn I love tri 5 chevys my buddy Damian had one when we were in high school. It was his dad's and his dad gave to him for graduation. It had a 327 365horse v8 with a m22 rock crusher in it. It was BAD ASS!!! NOTHING LIKE A TRI 5 WITH A 4spd in it!! Keep it safe and enjoy it you deserve it. Take care and God bless
