FDA doesn’t approve canning 😂, they probably don’t approve eating an apple from an apple tree.

They don't need to approve anything. My house, my rules. They want to freak people, so they stay dependent only on the grocery stores. (i'm not from the US, so I don't care about FDA, but I'm just saying) 😂

There are FDA approved ways to can. It just means they tested the recipe in a lab to check for things like pH and canning times to make sure botulism or other foodborne pathogens won’t be in it!

I'm so encouraged seeing you can stuff from the store! I am used to only seeing people grow their own stuff and then can it and realizing that there's this middle ground is really refreshing.

I’m so glad you told us your inexpensive food processor works fine! I’ve been wanting to get one, but didn’t know if the affordable ones were any good.

Raw red cabbage is also so good as a salad. I love adding cucumbers, tomatoes, cauliflower and dill to it with some olive oil and it’s delicious.

Rolling while lightly pressing the mandarins in a circular motion on the counter breaks the white fibres making the peels separate easier.

I do lots of water bath canning but I never thought to can oranges...would be way more economical than those tiny cans I buy at the store.

These seem like Keto recipes. Are you doing Keto now? I cant wait to make this pudding. The dairy just kills my gut.
Never have made roasted cabbage. Sounds delicious. I usually saute it because raw cabbage does not agree with me. Lol.
    Thanks for the delicious recipes.

USDA is the entity that decides the rules for canning here in the US. But I take their rules as tips. 😂

Good for you! (i'm not from the US) in the US, they would consider me a rebel canner. 😂
