I was at this show! July 20th, 2005, HP Pavillion in San Jose, CA. At the 37:49 mark I'm on the bottom right corner of the screen in the green shirt. My best friend was wearing the white shirt standing next to me. We were just 19 years old. I can't believe how fast time flies. I'm just glad I got to live in the moment and experience it when it happened. The Up in Smoke and Anger Management tours were a hell of a time to be alive. Before the show started we were chopping it up with Stat Quo and Bizarre. We also saw Proof running around in the stands with the megaphone. We were so close to the stage that we high fived literally everyone who performed that night (Em, G-Unit, D12, Lil Jon/BME Click, etc.). Lil Scrappy actually jumped down off the stage at one point and started rapping right in front of us before security pulled him back up onto the stage. We even saved some of their used water bottles and towels because when they were done with it they dropped it down on the stage within arms reach lol (gross, I know, but we were just kids and we idolized these guys, it was a big deal to us to have their water bottles, but we came to our senses and threw them away the next day lmao). It was crazy because not long after this show, Proof was killed. It was mad crazy because we had just seen him. I took about 10 high resolution photos of Em with my flip phone and then merged them into a collage and printed them out in one picture piece at a print shop and put it in a frame. It's the one main relic that I have from this historic night that I will always have with me and be able to show people years from now when I'm old and in my 70s or 80s.
Yeah Em was in a dark moment between 2004-2009. That was his darkest times when he was battling drugs & then lost his best friend Proof. He was really going through it
I saw this tour in 2005. Dallas Texas. Shit was SO live. Lil John was Crunk as fuck. G United. Dope. Snoop was there. I met Bun-B. Such a good concert.
05 was really the end of the shady era/g unit era. Some argue 07 but the south was taking over them Kanye put the final nail in the coffin dethroning 50 then after that enter Wayne drake etc
I loved this old footage takes me back to when they were the biggest artist in hip hop.
