Props to Eduardo - he has to deal with Sona's peaks, Gourley's nerd whispers, and Conan's chaos.
That's legit a lot to handle
And sometimes Werner Herzog's weird German farts.
@@bennettnez4711”I love farts because they highlight the futility of our struggle against Nature…”
(Werner Herzog, probably)

Sona please never stop being the loudest person with the loudest laugh
LOL 😂
Conan is way louder than Sona. Billie Eilish even asks him to yell in the corner of the room to see how loud.
2:14 Sona’s juvenile retorts are the best 😂
Matt is 100% right about Irish vs Gaelic, at least colloquially - ask someone from Ireland what language they learned in grade school and then forgot and they will tell you it was "Irish"
Exactly! The Irish word for "Irish" is Gaeilge. Gaelic is usually what the Scottish version is called 😂
Like saying yimou studied francaise.
In a sense, Matt was BOTH right AND wrong, depending on what is being discussed. Scottish Gaelic is in fact "Gaelic", but it originates from "Old Irish", which itself originates from Insular Celtic languages.
So you have two distinct groups of Celtic language - Brittonic (or Brythonic) languages: Breton, Cornish, and Welsh. Then you have Goidelic (or Gaelic) languages: Irish, Manx (the Isle of Man), and Scottish Gaelic.
So Irish language is also called Gaelic, or Irish Gaelic, language. It was during the Middle Irish Age - from 900-1200 AD - that Irish people who considered themselves "Gaels" immigrated to Scotland and the Isle of Man and disseminated their language to those regions. And thus was how Scottish Gaelic was established.
So technically, when you say "Gaelic", you can actually mean BOTH Irish Gaelic AND Scottish Gaelic, depending on how you pretext the reference.......
@@Bitshitter completely agree with most of this; however, "Gaelic" is still an anglicisation of the word, and not one normally used in Ireland.
Sona mocking Conan was hilarious. 😂
While editing, I think Matt did a quick check on Wikipedia before leaving the "Irish/Gaelic" part in, muttering "I'm NOT a fool" to himself.
Conan knows what buttons to push to get Sona laughing uncontrollably.
I’m so glad they put this clip on RUclips. I was dying listening to the “I hAve a ReAL pErfORmanCe eNergY” bit
Little does Sona realize, her kids are watching My Neighbor Totoro in the original Japanese and not learning English at all from it.
Kudos to Sona for showing her kids Totoro! It was the first movie my eldest was able to watch from start to finish without ever taking his eyes from the tv, at like 2 years old I believe. Anything Studio Ghibli is brilliant really, with increasing age requirements ^^
Sona is showing her kids some REALLY good movies.
Millennial 😎
None of those are age appropriate, her kids are toddler, show them bluey
@@radhiadeedou8286every movie she listed is for all ages
@@radhiadeedou8286 You must be fun at parties. Those are wonderful movies that can be appreciated by children of all ages.
The Iron Giant is great 👍 However, it IS a little more advanced, not meant for toddlers and I could understand how it might be scary lol. Maybe she could try Toy Story first
I think the day Sona is quiet is the day we ask if something's wrong. I'd be concerned. Stay loud, Sona.
Conan! Irish Gaelic has an amazing sound. It has a profound affect on Hiberno English and is the main reason for a lot of the unique grammar as well. PS, Gaelic was a unified language of Ireland, Scotland, and the Isle of Man until the Middle Ages- the literature of all three was mutually intelligible and functionally the same language. They've evolved separately since and also have dialects within themselves now. Some English speakers use "Gaelic" to refer to Irish or to Scottish Gaelic speakers and is like saying someone speaks "Iberian," not specifying if someone were speaking Portuguese, or Galician, or Castilian Spanish, or Catalan, etc.
Some consider it offensive but largely it's just...outdated. As Ireland worked to preserve their language from English language oppression, they prefer to simply call it Irish, while Scottish people call their language "Scottish Gaelic," to differentiate it from Scots, or Scoats, which is the relative of English spoken in Scotland that has more Norse, Norman, and historic Gaelic influence in it.
I'm an Irish American who learnt some Irish and can tell you it's an amazing experience to connect. It's chaotic, it's wild, it's kind of the natural language of an Irish mind 😂. It's easy to encapsulate humor in it.
Checkout Irish Schlanski over here
Fun fact- if I were to "Irishize" the last name Schlansky according to Irish phonetics, it would be Sleanscaí @@DeRoestAlso, you have delivered me a cherished compliment. I, too, usually performed various tasks at all my jobs.
The interesting thing about Irish English is that it's very much based on the language structure of the Irish language - which explains some of the odd turns of phrase, like "I'm already after going outside" to mean something like "I've just gone outside"
Thank you for clarifying with that wall of text so that I didn't have to post something similar. Some Irish people that I know refer to the language as Irish not Gaelic. I'm a little younger than Conan but my grandmother spoke a bit of Irish and would sing Irish songs though a lot of those have nonsense words in them.
I feel like Eduardo is the secret fourth character in this game 😅
These glasses really suits Conan - makes him look like a Harvard Graduate 🤓
The co-ordination on the shirts, very satisfying.
Sona is the heart and soul of this podcast
My Neighbour Totoro is the best. Well done Sona!
I hate that instead of working or studying... here I am hooked on these segments lol. Conan is the best
Any audio nerds out there knew exactly what Eduardo meant when he said dynamic. I bet he has an LA2A running hot all the time! 😄
What's that??
I love that Conan basically yelled his way through the Sponsored part
conan is never satisfied with any answer to "how you're doing". ever. 😂
Sonas' movie choices are the same movies I'm showing my 4 year old. She thought Iron Giant was too fast to understand, though she was excited about the robot part. Yet to show her ratatouille, putting it on my list now.
I want to see clipa where they send Sona to places where she has to try and speak quietly.
That'd be a great idea for another remote. I totally second this motion👍
Here's my wish for an episode / content: "Sona & the sleep laboratory"
Gourley is 100% right! Here in Ireland we just call it 'Irish' and we call Scotch Gaelic 'Gaelic'.
I thought “scotch” was the drink and Scot was the link.
As someone who mixes sound, all I could think of when listening to this is what kind of compressor is Eduardo using, and what compression ratio is he using, and what has he set the attack and release to, and does he have a limiter behind it for those moments when the compressor is not enough to prevent clipping?
Sona is on FIRE in this into 😂
Eduardo has like 4 Distressors in series for these guys

I saw the title and thought "Claaasic Sona". And *click*

Unreal !
Watching the Community episode about incest again last night, super excited when I realized the “writer” of the show was Matt.
Wasn’t this video already uploaded I swear I’ve heard it before
We used to have quiet study time and I was busy trying to revise, and the only thing that disturbed me was *PLEASE BE QUIET* ! from the teacher at some other students who had been conversing in barely audible whispers. This happened, like, every five minutes. The teacher ruined revision time for me. I think she was Welsh rather that Armenian, but still.
2:00 lol blay slowly nodding his head
Sona is so funny and has the best laugh!
Kudos to Matt for leaving the "Scottish Gaelic" part.
Because he was right. Conan is wrong.
I'm not an expert, but aren't Irish, Scottish, Cornish & Welsh, like, different parts of the Gaelic language family?
@@florete2310 calling Irish "gaelic" is kinda like calling Italian latin. And also calling Spanish latin. And calling portugese latin.

Yup. My ears bled more than usual.
I have a little bit of a flu and I had a fever dream that Conan came to my school to perform.

This is EPIC and one for the history books. LOL
I love that I can hear Sona's laugh in the thumbnail 😂
J.C. are you guys ever hilarious and lovable ❤😂❤

Conan is blending in with his chair
There is Irish Gaelic and there is Scottish Gaelic. But everyone in Ireland refers to that language as Irish and everyone in Scotland pronounces their ancestors language as "Gallic"... But almost no one no one in Scotland speaks it unless they grew up in the teeny tiny islands off of Scotland
I ❤ Sona!

Omg, “grow a pair” nice one, Sona. 😂
1:13 Oh, I don't think that the major point on Sona's job profile, i.e. *"handling Conan"* , ever required her to whisper... I'd go out on a limb here and say, that the exact opposite might be the case, LOL😂
more conan matt sona videos please
0:20 what's the word that Sona and later Conan says? "juzz" it up?
Sona shouting Good heavens and Lord above
Irish and Gaelic are two different languages in contemporary society. Irish individuals native to Ireland that take the time to learn it will tell you they speak Irish and Scottish people speak Gaelic. Less than 1% of Ireland speaks it's native language currently.
"Thunderin' Jaysus" ... I doubt that gets said outside of Ireland much! :D
There is also Scottish Gaelic. It's not an official language of the UK, it's more like a regional thing.
Wow, such knowledge. I bet you didn't even need to Google that.

To be fair to Sona's kids, the Iron Giant *was* a war machine.

In Ireland Irish is called Irish.
Sona's whisper is probably like Homer Simpson when he tries to whisper but basically just speaks in a throaty, but normal volume voice.
Ad reads in a 6 minute clip is insane.
Conan, Let's see Sona in a horror movie where she has to keep quiet or the creeper will find her.. or maybe just a short.
Conan, Gaelic is/was spoken both in Ireland AND Scotland, the two are very much intertwined over history.
The Iron Giant was amazing. I’m pretty sure I rented it multiple times from Blockbuster.
Why is everyone wearing green? They match the furniture.
So much green
Conan, you're the little girl that always makes me laugh.
I live in Armenia, Sona knows whats up and I can confirm. Is there is no such thing as "too loud" when talking here
earth tones
Matt was right about Gaelic :)
No. There is actually Irish Gaelic and Scottish Gaelic. Just like there are Irish bagpipes and Scottish bagpipes. Very similar, but different.
Nope, he wasn't. Scottish Gaelige, or Scots Gaelic, is a branch of Gaelige which has been the primary language of Ireland since 2AD.
@@TRex-dd4ze Nope, he was right. A form of Gaelic is also spoken in Scotland; that's all he was saying.
They’re three peas in a pod.
That would be a great podcast name!

Did everyone decide to colour coordinate their outfits ?
"Pair" refers to two, unless you think the idiom should be "pears," referring to the fruit.
Hey all, its actually not found to be called Gaelic The word “Gaelic” in english by the English derives from Gaeilge which is the word in Irish for the language itself. However, when english by the Irish is being used, the Irish language is conventionally referred to as “Irish, or Gaeilge” not “Gaelic.” as its seen to be derogatory by some Irish people. If you would mention Gaelic to an Irish person they would think you are talking about Scots Gaelic not Irish Gaeilge.
I always obey the law
It is cool to be bilingual ❤❤❤❤
Gourley is right. The native language of Ireland (as Gaeilge) is called "Irish" in English, not Gaelic.
