I love this, i have talked of this model for the past two years as a shareholder. Why cant government listen we have walked in every office in this country even to president office. It painful to see A students dropping out of school.
Let them treat all students the same. Funding from the government should be made available to all.

I am not sure the president knows what he is saying. Creating a complex system that frustrates students and parents. What was wrong with the old system. Why fix what was not broken. The incompetence of this government is mind boggling

Well done Michael and Ramesh! I have understood more of this issue. I think the placing of students in bands is useful if the selection criteria is good and followed well but I fear that in our corrupt country, it will be misused kabisas.
Let's not even talk about the state of most public universities, pathetic. Not at all value for money.
As I understand it, University Students ready to start their Studies have NO id cards? Why can the Government not issue id cards to everyone that’s 18 yrs for FREE irrespective of whether they are going to University or not. Some could be starting Apprenticeships or College. Also University students must be involved in selecting their leaders. The 2 young students leaders have been excellent 👏🏾
