The bits they used from the movie was only what could be gleaned from the trailers - so no spoilers at all really if anyone has seen any of the promos for the flick. Now his Wolverine song he inevitably is gonna do (DPS has done a few in the past so for sure he is gonna do a reprise as teased since he's done Deadpool previously as well) will have references to the movie I think. Recommendations? His two Homelander raps were fantastic, also his Cyclops rap was fire.
Mix Williams dabbles in NerdCore and also separately has his own independent rapping career- good artist! GameboyJones is more firmly placed in NerdCore but is very talented with a great catalogue of music to check out! Rustage is another great NerdCore artist who you will appreciate (def top 3 or 5, and some would say 1) because his writing is amazing. ~_~

My suggestions on other nerdcore artists: Check out the saiyan cypher, it's older, but it introduces you to a ton of the big nerdcore artists. Personal favorite: Zach B, his edgerunners song is amazing. Fabvl+dizzyeight, both of the sakuna songs, and anything by either of them is great. Rustage-Anubis(personal favorite), VIP or OP Divide music- a little different than some of the above artists, but worth a listen, pick just about anything.
You could break it up into different eras and sub-genres, but in general you can just call it NerdCore. They did not see the movie before they made this- they just pulled on the overall Deadpool lore and there are some bars in there that you wouldn’t catch if you didn’t know, i.e. any lines specifically mentioning Death. DPS is also a former basketball player and body builder, so bro really do be in the gym like that too. I had 1 issue with the whole movie and it was a particular scene where they used CGI instead of the actor they were PAYING ABSURD MONEY TO PLAY THE DAMN ROLE!!!!! that one scene just the one and it was so damn obvious that they added him in that moment during post.
