Excellent information as always. Note to people who have had corrective surgery that eliminates glasses: I was used to wearing glasses my whole life so always had "default safety glasses", but now I don't. I have to make a deliberate effort to put on safety glasses before hobby work, sports, painting, or any other such activity. I have my prescription work glasses, but I also have 5 pair of plain safety glasses scattered around the house where I most often work. They are good reminders!

    Hi..Dr. Michele Lee,
Eye drop 1 & 2 below each contains the Preservative BENZALKONIUM CHLORIDE.
    1) If One eye drop contains 0.005% w/v in a solution buffered with Borax and Boric Acid, and
    2) the other with 0.1mg in each ml of the sterile isotonic solution ,
Q1). Will the AMOUNT of preservatives present in any each of the eye drops above be HARMFUL OR
CAUSE any slow development of Cataracts to our eyes in the LONG TERM use?

    Hey mam
I am a med student from India
And I want to take opthalmology in future
    But I have some worries
Like I have a history of high BP and diabetes in my family which affects eye health
Will it affect my microsurgery skills
And with age tremor in hand comes
How do you deal with that and can it be prevented
