    After a short break, I'm back with new content! Stay tuned for new videos about eye trauma, cataract surgery, and more ❤
    Unfortunately the audio file was not useable, so apologies for the suboptimal audio in this week's video 😅

      Maybe I can repay you a little for your good eye care advice with some audio advice. It sounds like you are over-driving your mic (on the camera?) or there's air movement or a constant sound in the background (air con, machinery, ...) competing for your mic.
      Markus Pix has some excellent videos on audio/video. This one talks about record level settings 06:10 to 06:40 ruclips.net/video/zgQYKtBLmKg/видео.html
      And this one starting about 06:35 ruclips.net/video/Gs6Yh1TfU20/видео.html
      An inexpensive recorder that works well (per Markus and my experience) is the Tascam DR-10L recorder.

    Hi..Dr Michele Lee,
    What is the typical use/dosage of eye drops like after a cataract surgery?

    • @MicheleLeeMD
      @MicheleLeeMD  Год назад +6

      Hi! It depends on the type of drop. Most drops are 3 or 4 times a day for a few weeks. Sometimes you may need to taper off an eye drop (go down slowly over weeks), depending on the medication and provider. Hope that helps!

    I didn't notice the audio problem. Since having my new clareon vivity mini-mono lenses I think I have less eye strain using the computer (about 6 hours/day). Maybe my eye muscles are not trying to move the natural lens since it's been replaced by an EDOF lens that is already in focus.

    Hi..Dr. Michele Lee,
    Q1)What's the typical/dosage like (on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th week)for the use of Prednisolone(as its a steroid) eye-drops after a cataract surgery pls?
    Q2) And is it ok to continue using this after 1 month?

    • @MicheleLeeMD
      @MicheleLeeMD  Год назад +6

      Thank you for your question. It really depends on which drop and surgeon preferences. When I prescribe prednisolone, I usually prescribe it 4x/day x 1 week, 3x/day x 1 week, 2x/day x 1 week, 1x/day x 1 week then stop. This can vary though!

    Happy New Year! Do contacts offer any protection from the sun?

    • @MicheleLeeMD
      @MicheleLeeMD  Год назад +4

      Some brands of contact lenses may have UV blocking but it is still better to wear sunglasses as well. Hope that answers your question!

    I like healthy eyes.... The problem now is "farm raised fish".... The food they feed them is not the best of foods, so that changes a fish...Wild caught by all means... Eating salmon is great, you never see salmon wearing glasses so im sure it is good...lol

    I take a seabuck thorn supplement for dry eye which I believe helps, it has omega 3 as well as omega 7 which I'd like to hear your professional opinion on. Thanks 💚 👍

    Hi Dr. Lee. I'm 3 days post op and have a standard mono-focal lens. My vision is excellent, but I'm noticing a jiggling/quivering on the temporal side, along with a slim shadow. Is this something to be concerned about?

    • @MicheleLeeMD

      That sounds like a dysphotopsia, which is pretty normal. Feel free to check out my cataract side effects video which explains this a little more: ruclips.net/video/9OCGy08kkYg/видео.html

    Hi..Dr. Michele Lee,
    IF ONE HAS CATARACT IN THE RIGHT EYE,
    WHAT IS THE POSSIBLE CHANCES THAT THE LEFT EYE WILL SOON ALSO HAVE CATARACT?

    • @MicheleLeeMD
      @MicheleLeeMD  Год назад +2

      Hi there, you probably have some degree of cataract in the other eye but it may or may not be as bad. It is hard to say without getting an exam and having someone look at it for you. Thanks again for your questions!
