Lucky Penny Thoughts: Wow! This thing worked great. I made 4 hamburgers and a bunch of grilled cheese sandwiches! Elmo, Cars, Minnie Mouse! This was a really fast cooking toy! A 150W light bulb gets really hot and so close to the cooking surface made for a fast heating and cooking toy. As you can see, it made hamburgers in about 4-5 minutes and the grilled cheese sandwich in about 4 minutes. I have to say this is one of the best cooking toys I have ever used. What do you think about this kids toy? Imagine if they made a kids toy grill like this today. I'm not sure they would be able to pass all of the safety restrictions they have on toys in todays times.

I had one of these grill. I am in shock watching this. As an adult NO one ever believed me when I talked about my grill and how I made burgers from a grill with a grease catcher. Thank you for showing this, it was my favorite toy I was seven years old and I played "restaurant" my brothers were my customers. I love this, thanks again.

My brother had this grill and a Pepsi dispenser. I had the Suzy Homemaker, oven, dishwasher with sink, and the blender all for Christmas 1967 or 68. We played restaurant he fry cooked and made milkshakes and I baked and did clean up.
Kids toys today well aren’t toys it’s more like sitting in front of computer playing videos. No imagination

It happened at my school!! Some students brought their own panini grill/sandwich iron and started making their own sandwiches in the cafeteria. The teachers didn't really like this! :D

Man, I cannot believe these items! I'm 42 and I've never seen or much less heard of most of this stuff. Even though it's vintage it's still very impressive technology engineered for kids. You've got another new fan/suscriber here.

hopkidokid True, but you still need to clean the pan/grease bowl after every 2 times or so because of the smell and stuff, so that forces you to go to the kitchen anyways. My advice is go hardcore, just start a bonfire in your room and make your food there, perfect source of heat too xP

This is extremely awesome but one note, just to point out to the parents out there, I mean this is for kids but just to point to the parents, kids are probably gonna have to be supervised with this because the main part where you put the burgers or grilled cheese on, kids could burn their fingers with it especially when flipping the burger meat so, yeah, I mean awesome cooking toy but kids will need adult supervision for that thing. But again, I like this a lot, just really awesome!!
60's kids didn't need warning labels plastered everywhere. We knew that being careful was simple common sense.

My kids didn’t believe me when I spoke of making food on my Kenner Big Burger Grill. They didn’t think a light bulb could be used to make food. I am currently on my third burger. My kids are amazed; I am smiling proudly.

Me too. I hate having a ton of stuff on it. I dont even like bread. Especially if it is cooked outside on a proper grill, salt and pepper only. If it is cooked in doors I dont mind cheese and bacon to give more flavor), but I never put ketchup, mayo and other stuff on it.

I love venison! On occasion I can get it at Whole Foods, or am luck enough to know someone who hunts. When I was younger I would get the freshly killed deer hit by cars. it saved me from hunting and made use of an animal that had already died. Now, it is harder and harder to find people who appreciate Venison. Juniper goes nicely with venison. Sometimes I marinate the meat in Gin and Juniper berries.
I had one of these and a Coke Machine. I spent hours cooking with this and it really worked!

Oh lord, vintage toys were crazy back in the day before regulations and common sense kicked in. Real grills that could burn kids, toy guns that looked real guns and etc.
