Tanti recensori da strapazzo nella classifica dal peggiore al migliore degli LP del RE,tengono Islands fuori dalla top 7.
C'è la tendenza a non contraddirsi troppo a vicenda,trovare il bello nel complicato scordandosi che i KC sono bellissimi profondi e complessi oltre la media anche in quei capolavori che catturano al primo ascolto per poi aprire un mondo se l attenzione si concentra su uno stumento, Islands,tondo tutto di un fiato come in futuro solo Beat,altro album bistrattato saprà fare.
Avendo un background metal, ho sviscerato Larks e gli adoro tutti,e per quanto riconosca che Red sia un altro prodotto di ottima fattura omogeneo e con un identità definita, gli preferisco Starless & the Bibble Black,per picchi compositivi e quell aria di transizione che lo rende variegato, ogni track apre la strada a un interpretazione del prog.. ecco, da Fractured esce Red... ma la nuova The Nightwatcher non ci sarà,ne un brano delicato come Trio o un riff come l opener.
